JANUARY ROUND UP

Hello lovelies, did anyone else feel like January had 1356,0987 days in it?! I couldn't wait for pay day to arrive! Felt like I was holding on by a thread, but everything has been paid up and were all back on track, even though the heating bills are astronomical and so are the food shops, were healthy and have a lovely home to keep us safe!

Despite us being skint in January we had a lovely month, lots of walking! My steps have been amazing on my fitbit, thanks to my cute puppy! He gets walked twice a day and nice longer walks on the weekends. We've had family walks, date walks and even been on walks with friends. Oakley had his first ever groom this month and its helped massively with the bath time now, he sits so lovely now where as before he was fighting me to get out haha! We took the kids to clip and climb, we've been to local parks, fields and we've been to mcdonalds, slim chickens and stags leap. Me and Dan managed to sneak two little dates in this month! Both at The Horns Inn, the first one was a cute coffee and dog walk and the second one was a dog walk and lunch, the food was absolutely stunning!

I met two new cute babies! Dans cousins and my friends. My poor little niece has been in and out of hospital bless her with her colds causing her to struggle breathing but hopefully she recovers soon!

My brother and his partner came down from Evesham and we met their adorable puppy Max. We visited my dad and sister together. Still can't get over how positive she is through everything she is going through. Her radiotherapy is now done, the next is chemo!

I joined a new fitness class this month, Martial Arts! I've been absolutely loving it, I joined with my work bestie Holly and its so much fun. Kickboxing and punching, my arms are really aching today mind! But it's great for my body and mind. I've been enjoying some lego sets, particularly the floral ones. I also started journaling this year and I'm really going to try hard and stick with it this year, It's nice to look back on all the nice or not so nice things we got up to.

I've been juggling mom life and work whilst Dan has worked away all of this month, it's been tough and I've missed him loads but he has to go where the money is in his job role sadly! We're both in a really good place at the minute, it's nice to feel really happy and in love after 13 years together. We've had our ups and downs but were really happy at the minute and enjoying it! Planning future date nights and little family trips for the year.

Book I'm reading this month -

Call of the penguins Hazel Prior, I loved the first one and I'm enjoying the sequel I just really haven't prioritised reading this month and sadly didn't get chance to finish it! I really wanted to read at least one book a month but I'm working on it! I've set myself a challenge to read 10 books this year as I'm such a slow reader and never give myself time to do so.

Music I've loved and listened to on Spotify -

Wednesday soundtrack, 80's, 90's, Golden hour JVKE and Miley Cyrus Flowers.

Products I've loved this month -

L'Occitane body milk*, it's from their new Lavender CBD range, it smells insane and is so quick and easy to put on after the shower, I'm so lazy with body skincare but I use this almost every day at the minute! DHC Cleansing oil, I used this all the time back in the day when I was a full time beauty blogger and I saw it on offer online over the Christmas period and fell back in love with it! L'Oreal infallible foundation, again another throw back I remember wearing this back when I used to be able to get in the pubs at 16/17 and the smell just sends me right back! But it still really works for my skin and I love my complexion using this foundation and it doesn't cost the earth.

Films I've Watched -

On the line 3/5 and Lyle Lyle Crocodile 5/5.

I adored Lyle Lyle Crocodile me and the kids watched it in my bed whilst Dan was away and we had a bed full of snacks and it was a real good family feel good film! Who wouldn't enjoy a singing crocodile right?! On the line had potential, it was very gripping in parts but I had a feeling the ending was going to happen the way it did and it did it was just a bit uhh after all of that! But it was ok.

TV shows I watched -

Rosie Malloy gives up everything, Ernest Shackleton Documentary, Simpsons, The Light in the hall, The family pile, Traitors US, Sort your life out and one and only one episode of The Last of us.

So The Last of us just wasn't something for me anyway but I was willing to give it a try for Dan, he also got bored after 3 or 4 episodes so gave up. My eldest was enjoying it but didn't want to watch it alone. Rosie Malloy, Don't watch if you're an addict! It was basically about an alcoholic and drug addict who keeps going in and escaping rehab! A really pointless show to be honest and I love Sheriden smith! We binge watched the US Traitors after loving the British one so much, we only agreed on watching it as we didn't know the 'celebs'. We watched the Ernest Shackleton documentary because one Oscar was learning about him in school and two Dan said he watched it before and it was an amazing story! That is was. Simpsons was just a throw back, I watch it with the kids sometimes and it takes me back to my youth. The family pile was a very easy light hearted watch on ITV, they're only 25-30 min episodes. I adore Stacey Solomon and I love anything to do with sorting so Sort your life out is a bit of me, this is the second series, I absolutely love it. Then lastly The light in the hall, this was a fantastic drama on I think ITV too! Highly recommend.

What did you do in January? I'd love to know and if you have any TV recommendations xx

INTERVIEW A BLOGGER | MINI SERIES #2

Hello lovelies, sorry this post is a little late this week and I've been a bit awol on the blog one day I will get a chance to sit down and sort the whole schedule properly of my blog, when Dan works away it will be a lot easier and give me plenty of time to sit down at night and blog more! I feel bad blogging when he's here, I've been in hospital and my dad doesn't seem to be getting any better so my heads a shed at the minute, friends? I don't even know who they are anymore. I have a couple good ones that have been there for me so much recently and I fully appreciate them but to be honest my fiancé and my children are my best friends I couldn't ask for anything more! Anyway back to the post, I am interviewing a bangin babe today who I have followed for at least 2 years now, I have always been a massive fan of her blog I hope you love it!

LUSH SKINCARE BLOGGER EVENT

Hello lovelies, so Wednesday just gone I attended a Lush Skincare event especially for us bloggers, I love a Lush event as it is one of my favourite stores. I know Lush is mainly known for their amazing bath bombs/melts etc but they also do a huge range of other products from hair care to skin care to even make up and perfume! I could literally get lost in Lush for hours, the aroma gets me every time it just makes me fall even more in love with it, but Wednesday we really got to grips with Lush skincare products, I am a fan myself of Lush skincare but it was really refreshing to learn about new products I had never tried before and we even got to make some of the products which was super fun!

Here the lovely Kyle, one of Lush finest shows us all how to make Angels on bare skin cleanser, he showed us all the ingredients that go into the making of the cleanser and we all got messy in our blue gloves rolling it about like a bread mixture. It was so fun helping to make the cleanser and it just shows all of the natural ingredients that do go inside it with no nasties or anything at all that is tested on animals. We even got to keep a full size sample of the cleanser which I was thrilled about and if you stick around till the end I will let you know how it's making my skin feel and the ingredients!

After we all helped make the cleanser we got to have a sit down and learn some facial tips using the Full of grace serum bar, the lovely Yasmin showed us some great techniques and we all got into pairs to try it out on each other, Clare a fellow blogger friend of mine was my partner and was quite good at parts of the facial, it was very relaxing and I learned a lot, I tried it out on my boyfriend and he was really impressed so thanks Yasmin!

Once we got pampered we all joined around the cauldron and had a witch hunt, just kidding we dropped some Dream Steam tabs into a bowl of boiling water and got all hot and steamy to open up our pores and let all the essential oils get into our skin, it was lovely and the aroma was perfect.

Once we all parted from our steam bath we got asked if we would like to help make a Cupcake facemask or a Catastrophe facemask, I opted for the cupcake one as it sounded more beneficial to my skin type with it helping with those pesky spots that creep up when you least expect them too. We all took it in turns to add in all the different ingredients and all had a stir to make the face mask, it's amazing to see what they do behind close doors and all the hard work that goes into everything made but all the ingredients so natural, that's what I love most about it. After we made the cupcake facemark we actually got given a full size sample and also one of the catastrophe one so I'm excited to see how that one works out with my skin, I love a good face mask, it's not a real pamper without one right? You can see the lovely Sam above tried out the cupcake mask in the shop, doesn't she demonstrate it so well.

Once we made our facemasks we all got a separate skin care consultation on the moisturiser that would be best for our skin and what we wanted out of a moisturiser, above is the lovely Vanessa getting her consultation with Kyle, he was very helpful and I am so pleased with the moisturiser sample I got given.

It was so nice to catch up with the blogging friends I have made on my blogging journey, they become really close friends just by talking over the internet and meeting up a couple of times I feel like I will be friends with these lot forever, it's so good to have friends who share the same interests as you that don't compete or make you feel anything other than fabulous, these girls do that! From the left Clare, Sarah's sexy eye, Aimee and Vanessa , I'm obviously the centre of attention aha.

If all of that wasn't enough look at the magnificent goodie bag we all got to take home?! I was so impressed when I got home and had a look in everything, sadly I missed a train and didn't get home till past 10 so was super tired and did the quickest make up removal ever so couldn't try out all my new products but the day after I went all out and had a real good pamper with the boyfriend, he loved all of the products as much as I did and since getting all this Wednesday I haven't stopped using the products and my skin honestly feels amazing, it hasn't felt this good in ages it is so smooth and clean. I really feel like just sticking with Lush after how great my skin feels once I have got through my huge skincare collection stash and that is a very strong statement from a beauty blogger with a love for trying out new things but I am being totally honest. I will give you a brief over view on what I think of the products I have used so far and their ingredients but I will update you all with lots of reviews soon on the blog.

Angels on bare skin cleanser 100g £6.75* - This is a gentle cleanser with great properties in to help absorb the grease in your skin, leave your skin feeling clean yet nourished and tones and brightens it all at the same time with the great ingredients inside.

I'm not usually one for the 'bitty' cleansers, I just hate the mess of it all but this one actually isn't that bad, you get some of the product into your hand place some warm water in the palm and rub together to make a sort of paste then rub it all over your face, I quite like using this in the morning, it makes me feel refreshed and ready for the day and just leaves my skin feeling fabulous.

  • 'Ground Almonds
  • Glycerine
  • Kaolin
  • Water (Aqua)
  • Lavender Oil
  • Rose Absolute
  • Chamomile Blue Oil
  • Tagetes Oil
  • Benzoin Resinoid
  • Lavender Flowers
  • *Limonene
  • *Linalool' - List of all ingredients.

Tea Tree Water Toner 100g £4.25* - This is one of my favourite toners I have tried from lush, if you want to keep those pesky spots at bay you need this in your life, its antibacterial, anti fungal and antimicrobial it is also antiseptic and rich in vitamins an all rounder great product for keeping your skin clear and helps to remove those extra traces of make up off after you've cleansed.

  • 'Tea Tree Water
  • Grapefruit Water
  • Juniperberry Water
  • *Limonene
  • Perfume
  • Methylparaben' -
  • List of all ingredients.

  • Full of grace serum bar 20g £8.25* A deeply moisturising facial bar, this it most definitely is! I have been wanting to try this product out for ages so I was so happy when I seen this in my bag. It has ingredients in it to help get all the right essential oils into your face but also helps to combat greasiness, I like to use this by rubbing the bar between my fingertips to get it warm and the oils to melt in my fingers then rub it all over my skin, you can just use it straight from the bar on your face and give it a good massage but I think its cleaner to use just your fingertips.

    • 'Murumuru Butter
    • Calamine Powder
    • Cupuacu Butter
    • Fresh Rose Petal Infusion
    • Organic Almond Oil
    • Perfume
    • Fresh Portobello Mushrooms
    • Chamomile Blue Oil
    • Rose Oil
    • Tagetes Oil
    • *Eugenol
    • *Geraniol
    • *Benzyl Benzoate
    • *Benzyl Cinnamate
    • *Citronellol
    • *Farnesol
    • *Limonene
    • *Linalool' -
    • List of all ingredients.

    • Cupcake Face mask 75g £6.50* - I believe this is the mask that is making my skin feel so clean and soft! It has the ingredients in it to help clear all your skins impurities, deep cleanses it but also stimulates and tones the skin then lastly helps to soften and moisturise your skin. You only need to leave this on your face for 10-15 minutes to benefit from it and believe me you will feel the difference the next morning, if you have combination skin or spot prone skin I think you will really benefit from this product, it's amazing.

      • 'Rhassoul Mud
      • Linseed Infusion
      • Glycerine
      • Talc
      • Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter
      • Cocoa Butter
      • Fresh Mint
      • Sandalwood Oil
      • Fair Trade Vanilla Absolute
      • Spearmint Oil
      • Peppermint Oil
      • *Limonene
      • Perfume' -
      • List of all the ingredients.

      • As I said above, I will give you all reviews once I have tried everything out and over the next couple of weeks to see how my skins getting on with it all, I am using these products before anything else in my collection because it is fresh and because I love them all! I am so grateful for the invite to the great event and the amazing goodie bag we all got given, thanks to all the lovely staff who took time out of their schedules to teach us all about the skin care products and taught us techniques and tips along the way, I had a great night and was so lovely to catch up with my blogging friends too. If you have never tried Lush before you are seriously missing out! I would advise you all to go to your nearest Lush and have a skin care consultation, they really know there stuff and can help you with pretty much everything but for those of you who don't sadly live near a Lush or can't get to a store for any reason they have a fantastic website that is really easy to use and very useful and handy on telling you all about the products here - LUSH.co.uk

      • If you have tried Lush skincare before what are YOUR favourite products?

BULLRING CHRISTMAS BLOGGER EVENT

Hello lovelies, apologies for my neglect on the old blog but I have enjoyed a bit of me time and family time for that matter, the fella has been doing lots of overtime so its been nice to have some quality time together as being a mother it's pretty hard blogging in the day so I focus on blogging more of a nigh time, anyway I won't bore you with that, recently I was kindly invited to the Bullring bloggers Christmas event, anything remotely Christmassy I am there! Yes they did have cheesey festive music and they put on a lovely spread for us all, there was a gorgeous table of food from Chaopraya my favorite being the chicken satay sticks yum and they also had lots of chocolate, sweets and refreshments.

There was a lovely lady doing nails 'tamorenails' so I jumped straight in there first, I'm not shy when theres a nail freebie going aha and especially when I rocked up to the event with no polish on! How bad beauty blogger of me but she soon transformed them into a gorgeous Frozen like detail, blue, glittery and snowflakes, I loved them and my blog gal Chloe had a snowwy nail look which were beautiful too.

There was plenty of stalls to admire, Benefit, Umberto Giannini were doing some lovely hair make overs mainly giving the ladies luscious curls, lots of beauty bits from Selfridges, how stunning are those Tom Ford lipsticks though? I wanted them all, they all had male names my favorite was Patrick ;). I also adored the make up bags especially 'The fairest of them all'. They also shown us the great personalised gifts you could get for your loved ones for Christmas, I love the sacks and might have to get my little man one and a Mr Men photo frame, they are adorable!

I had a lovely time at the event, we got a lovely goody bag full of chocolate, candy canes and offers and more importantly it was great to see my blogging friends and meet new blog friends. Christmas is definitely the perfect time to get together with your loved ones and let them all know how much they mean to you, this event was perfect to get me in the festive spirit, get some ideas for presents and more importantly ideas for my own Christmas wish list aha! Thank you so much to Emma and the team for having me.

Do you like the idea of personalised Nutella or a mug with Mrs. Always right? Aha

OCTOBER BEAUTY FAVORITES

Hello lovelies, today I have for you my favorites of the previous month, I;m actually quite early to the party for once this time but don't think this will be a regular thing, I am sure next month I'll be late again, but read on if you want to see what I loved through out October.

Benefit Majorette - I have worn this every day through out October, when I was wearing make up anyway, it is a cream to powder blusher that just smells amazing! Think peaches, pomegranetes, sweety and floral almost. You can use this as a blusher alone or as the perfect base for your usual blusher for extra oomft and flush but I always use this alone, it is the perfect shade for your cheeks to give it a really healthy glow and just makes you look radiant.

Philip Kingsley Daily damage defence - Again used all through out October every time I have washed my hair this has been sprayed vigorously through out my hair then brushed through with my tangle teezer, it has been keeping my hair healthy, knot free, smelling good and protecting it through heat products, if I have washed my hair on a night time I put all this through, brush it through then leave it in as a conditioner spray as it has got condition properties, but if I am using a heat tool the next day I give it another little spritz to make sure my hair is well protected. This product really is genius and has everything you need in one bottle, I would actually be confident in to say that I would happily through everything hair related in my hair care draw and just have this! It has been my hair saviour and this 60ml bottle is perfect for travelling with. After seeing how much I wrote about this product in my favorites I really should of done a solid review on its own, but there you go, you all need it in your life, trust me! I will be forever repurchasing this miracle hair spray, thank you Philip K.

Bobbi Brown Gel eye liner - This eye liner is fricken amazing, if you have read my post about the Bobbi Brown event I went to not long ago you would have seen that I wrote that I thought it would be impossible for me to use one of these gel eye liner pots but with the Bobbi Brown eye liner brush it is a dream to use and sooo easy! It literally glides on so smoothly and stays put for hours and hours with no smudges or anything. The key is to use confident sweeps rather than doing a little bit at a time which is where it usually goes wrong, you know when your line is just getting bigger and bigger and you just now look like you have a black eye, no one wants that. This is so simple, if I can do it you can! I have even put my trusty Maybelline Black shock gel eyeliner pen down and this has replaced it, its amazing.

Benefit It's potent eye cream - I am quite a bad blogger here, but I never actually used to use eye cream that much, I am getting better as I am coming up to 24 and I am getting worried about crows feet and any wrinkle really, I don't want to be addicted to botox so I need to keep on top of things. This eye cream has been so lovely to use, it sinks into the skin beautifully, the pot is adorable! Not a strong scent to it at all, I have noticed a difference in my dark eye bags, which has also been helped with lots of water and getting into a routine, no more late nights! But I have really enjoyed using this eye cream and will be thinking of repurchasing this in the near future.

Topshop Wicked - This has been the most perfect lip product for me through out autumn, the perfect berry lip toned lipstick which I have just adored, I have never had so many compliments from a lipstick and everyone saying how well suited to it I am and everyone asking me what it is. It stays put for hours, it doesn't smudge everywhere, it feels lovely on the lips and its is very opaque.

Nars Cruella - The only red lip product I have ever fallen madly deeply in love with, I think this deep cherry red really compliments my skin tone and brings out my eyes more strangely. It is such a stunning shade, it stays put through wind, rain, dancing, drinking, eating, you name it this lipstick could pull through it! I just love it, the only downfall is that it can latch on to your dry patches but if you keep those lips well looked after you wont have any problems with this little gem at all, its the best red ever!

If you have written about your October favorites be sure to link your's below x

FRIDAYS FAVORITE BLOG OF THE WEEK #8

Annabel - Mascara & Maltesers

Hello lovelies, I am on 8th of my fave Friday's blog of the week and I am only going to do ten, I have loved reading new blogs or re-reading and discovering old blogs and getting stuck in to all there content but sometimes I just don't get time to have a good read and share with you my favorites so I will stop at ten, ten being all my fave bloggers I keep in touch with and blogs I love so hope you enjoy Annabels blog and the last two posts.

Back to Annabel, Beautiful lady with an equally beautiful blog. Her blog pictures are stunning, very easy on the eye and I love her content, she posts great reviews which make me want to go out and buy it instantly and great lifestyle posts. I enjoyed her most recent 'underused make-up' post, It's good to know what bloggers are reaching for most or not reaching for so much and her review of the 'Bourjois volume 1 second mascara' although I have over twenty mascaras Annabel has made me want this one too now! Who doesn't love mascara and maltesers? No make-up look is complete without mascara and maltesers are scrummy, her content is very informative yet creative and oozes personality which I love. Her layout is simple yet pretty and very easy on the eye to navigate you places. If you're looking for fab beauty reviews or looking to be a tourist for the day check out Annabel's most recent posts I am sure you will love her blog as much as I do.

Kirstie - A yellow brick blog

Hello lovelies, look at the adorable layout of Kirsties blog in true Disney princess style. I have loved Kirstie's blog for ages and watched her grew successful so quickly she is even doing Youtube videos now which are also fab. Kirsties blog is fab as it has a bit of everything going on and great if you love Disney too, I loved it when she was doing the Disney princess inspiration dress styling posts where you could be made to look like your favorite one. At the minute out of her most recent posts I have been loving her ebay wishlist, I would definitely have one of each of everything on there and her disappointing product review, I love when bloggers post about disappointing products as well as products we love so we can look out for them, it's good to be honest also. Kirstie puts a lot of effort into her stunning OOTD posts as well as her beauty and lifestyle ones and great detail in her reviews. She has a product of the week every week so look out for that one, this week it is a moisturising lotion from Aveeno, will come in handy coming up to the colder months girls and boys.
