WEEKLY MEAL PLAN

meal plan

Hello lovelies, I thought I'd start of the year with my weekly meal plans. Maybe it will give you all a bit of inspiration if you're sick of eating the same meals. Ever since we've stuck to weekly meal plans we've stopped wasting food a considerable lot to before meal planning and we save money also! These meals are fairly healthy too as I'm trying to shift a bit of timber. But they was all gorgeous too, approved by my 8 and 10 year old and fiancé!

Monday - Pitta bread pizzas with homemade chips and salad.

Super quick and easy and you can even get the kids involved after school! You just need pitta breads, slather on some tomato puree, sprinkle some garlic on or oregano if you're feeling fancy and top it with your favourite toppings!

Tuesday - Gammon Roast.

I always slow cook my gammon whilst I'm at work and prep my potatoes and veggies before hand so I can quickly through the cooked potatoes into the air fryer and whisk up some gravy, no fuss roast dinner.

Wednesday - Chicken, ham and mushroom pie.

I used the nights before gammon and used a Pinch of nom recipe for this!

Thursday - Pork stir fry.

Just fry of your pork or I like to add mine to my air fryer in some seasoning of choice then through in a pan with noodles, bean sprouts and your choice of veg.

Friday - Macaroni Mince.

It's basically just mince meat with macaroni pasta. I cook the mince until browned then add in onion powder, garlic, mustard powder and beef stock, once pasta is cooked I mix it all together then add cheese and fresh onions.

Saturday - Chicken Kebab.

Again, Pinch of nom recipe, I love their books! Would highly recommend.

Sunday - Beef stew.

Not pictured but we finished the week off with a nice hearty stew! Just what we needed after a wet doggy walk with the kids. I just throw everything into the slow cooker in the morning. Beef, potatoes and any vegetables of choice with mixed herbs, gravy granules and pepper.

What was your favourite meal you had last week? Let me know in the comments if you meal plan or just wing it. xx

GETTING RID OF THOSE EASTER EGGS

Hello lovelies, I know Easter is over and done with now but who is still seeing easter eggs all around their home? I know I am. I'm trying to loose weight, trying to stop the kids from eating too much chocolate so I just want it all gone now!

MY 12 MONTH JOURNEY WITH HIPP ORGANIC

Hello lovelies, so today I'm going to tell you about my journey weaning with HiPP Organic, it has been an amazing twelve months with Lawson and the team and the amazing PR team, I haven't worked with a nicer PR team ever. They really looked after us both and we have had so much fun along side learning new things.

Hello lovelies, so on my birthday back on the 11th of November I was invited to the Hipp Organic graduation party with Lawson to end his weaning journey a long with the other members of the wean journey team and the Hipp Organic team.

MORSE TOAD | GIFT GUIDE

MORSE TOAD Personal gift £12.00*

Hello lovelies, so recently I've been eyeing the internet up and down for gifts for the children and my fiancee, it's so hard to buy for men! I know my kids will be happy with cars, lego and whatever else is in the Argos catalogue but Dan, he's SO hard to buy for, I struggle every Christmas until Morse Toad got in contact with me...

HIPP ORGANIC, THE BIGGEST ASSORTMENT OF BABY FOOD!

Hello lovelies, thought I would give you a little update on how Lawson's weaning journey is going, he eats everything and anything really! He isn't a fan of broccoli or strawberries though, his favourite dinner is spag-bol whether it is is my home made one or the Hipp Organic's shop bought one as pictured above, I personally think theres looks better, taste wise I can't comment as I haven't tried Hipp's myself but Lawson is a huge fan as you will see his near enough empty plate below shortly.

LUNCHING WITH HARTLEYS

Hello lovelies, Hartley's very kindly sent us A LOT of jelly recently and a totally cute little lunchbox with stickers, Oscar already has a lunchbox for school so I thought I would jazz this one up for Lawson as we are always out an about.

CHILLFACTOR MILKSHAKE MAKER

Chillfactor milkshake maker £9.99*

Hello lovelies, so today I have for you a fun little milkshake maker, I am a big fan of strawberry milkshakes but they have to be from McDonalds or a Take-Away place to get that foamy feel to it and my son loves them too! So I was so happy when we got asked to review our very own milkshake maker.

CELEBRATING WITH CAKETOPPERS

Hello lovelies, so before I talk about how gorgeous these cakes were from Caketoppers I thought I would let you all know what we've been up to. So we had a gorgeous week in Belamadena as I mentioned in a previous blog post, we had the most amazing week but as soon as I came home I become so ill, I have been bed bound for three days which meant I missed out on Oscar's birthday treat to Drayton Manor that I wanted to film and keep for him, which also meant I was so ill for his birthday too! I felt like the shitest mum alive honestly! I've never cried so much this weekend due to being ill and feeling like the worst mum for making Oscar have a crap birthday, although Oscar said it was the best birthday ever bless him! Dan has the worlds worst feet from holiday and has been walking around like Tina Turner but saved the day and took Oscar to Drayton manor thankfully and Oscar was at school most of the day Monday and I did push myself to go into town and let him pick his own birthday cake and now I'm feeling better we can finally play with all his new toys!

MY 'FREAK' SHAKES BRING ALL THE BOYS TO THE YARD

Hello lovelies, so have you heard of Freak shakes? Yeah it's a thing, if you haven't heard of them where have you been hiding? They are everywhere right now, it was originated from the Australians I believe, unless that is a big lie on the internet but it's soon becoming a huge thing in the UK right now, its basically milkshake with cream and sweet treats stuffed on top, I haven't actually had one in a shop before but craved one so I thought why not jut make my own? They're far from perfect to look at but they taste pretty damn amazing, I've even had ten out of ten marks of the kids!

ITIHAAS INDIAN CUISINE BIRMINGHAM

Hello loveleis, so today I have a post for you of Indian food that is to die for! I have never heard of Itiahaas sadly before, I can't believe how much I was missing out on! I was very kindly invited by East Village PR to taste Itihaas new summer menu and gosh were us bloggers spoiled that night.

HOME MADE CHEESE BURGERS

Hello lovelies, today I have for you a little different post, I have featured some food type posts on here in the past and I do want to make this a regular thing from now on, I'm not a bad cook to be fair! Before children I was horrendous, definitely a microwave kinda girl or bang any old frozen thing in the oven but after children I'd say I've massively improved, even the fiancé would agree!

24 HOURS WITH TASTECARD

Hello lovelies, so today I thought I would share with you this money saving deal! Especially if you're a lover of going out for meals, I was kindly given a taste card subscription for a year with some pennies to enjoy 24 hours with!

MUMMY MONDAY | #MILKMOMENTS

Hello lovelies, so today I'm going to talk to you a little bit about Lawson's weaning journey and how important the follow on milk is during his weaning journey.

WEETABIX MUFFINS WITH NUTELLA AND STRAWBERRIES

Hello lovelies! Hope you're all well, I've been yo yo dieting for a good 4 years now! Before kids I was a size 10/12 without having to work my ass of in the gym or watch what I eat, two kids later I have put on way too much and let myself go, I'm happy in life just not in my body so I've vowed to myself this year it needs to change for good! Be even more happier an healthy, healthy being the most important. I've done slimming world previously and loved it but when I have a day of slipping up I find it hard to get back to so this year I'm basically just eating better an trying to cut out more of the bad stuff. I'm constantly on Instagram on healthy foodies and dribbling of all the good foods, I found this recipe on +Slimmingworld_ Gal Instagram and although I'm not following slimming world this time around I thought it would be a healthier alternative to a cupcake with extra frosting!

Want to know how to make these? Carry on reading...

What you will need -

  • 2 weetabix
  • 2 tbsp of sweetener
  • 1 tsp of vanilla essence
  • 1 level tsp of cocoa powder (1 syn if following sw)
  • 1/2 Toffee mullerlight
  • 2 eggs

Optional
  • 1 tbsp of nutella (4 syns if following sw)
  • Strawberries or any fruit you love.
The Method -

Pre heat your oven to 180, blend your weetabix into a fine powder then add all the other ingredients together and blend them all until it is smooth. Divide the mixture into 5/6 silicone cup cases and bake for 25 minutes. Allow to cool then add your desired toppings.

These are 1 syn for five without Nutella when using your hexb, 7 syns if your not using your hexb and
11 syns altogether with Nutella.

Do you have any healthier alternatives to deserts/snacking? Snacking at night time is my downfall.

MUMMY MONDAY | I'M APART OF THE HiPP #WEANTEAM

Hello lovelies, so some very exciting news! I am officially apart of the HiPP organic #weanteam it's a 12 month blogger programme which will follow every step of Lawson's weaning journey.

Me and I think 9 other bloggers got chosen out of god knows how many others, I feel so honoured and privileged and above all excited to be apart of it all, not only is this an amazing opportunity but I get to document everything here and have it all to look back on later, I massively regret not doing this with Oscar now to see if I changed things and to look back on because it all goes so fast but I can't wait to do it now. We all got invited to a special HiPP event in Birmingham not long ago which we all got told so much more about HiPP as a whole and we got to speak to a nutritionist and many other lovely people who work for Hipp we could also sample the food pouches they do which was very kind of them, they set the room up beautifully and accommodated to everyones needs, they even provided high chairs and baby toys and even food and drinks for us! It was so refreshing to go to a blogger event and actually be able to take your children!

I learnt that HiPP organic is actually a family ran business! Created by Joseph HiPP who in 1899 created the rusk after his wife was having difficulties nursing their twins. The popularity of the rusk grew and grew, then in 1932 Joseph launched his own company. Later in 1956 Josephs son Georg expanded the family business and developed new industrial manufacturing process for organic baby food in jars. Today HiPP organic is run by Georg's son Claus and grandson Stefan.

A bit later on in the month just before Christmas all of the #weanteam got sent an amazing crate full of goodies! Then a day or two after we got sent a box full of food and they even got us a personalised stocking! So sweet and touching, I couldn't believe what I saw when I looked inside, I really wanted to do an unboxing for my Youtube channel but we have all come down with the flu! Devastating but I can barely talk so would of been pointless, I will however show you a picture below. I want to thank HiPP so so much for choosing me amongst others to be apart of their team and I look forward to the following 12 months with them.

HiPP has a product range of more than 150 products in the UK, the HiPP organic portfolio includes milk, cereals, tray meals and pouches.

EMILY'S CUPCAKERY.

Emily's Cupcakery £1 per cupcake*

Hello lovelies, so the lovely Emily made me some gorgeous cupcakes for Oscar's 3rd birthday the other week, he is obsessed with minions and dinosaurs at the minute so this is what she came up with, how amazing are they?! She is super talented just look at her work above too.

As I am on slimming world I saved my syns all day for one of these cakes and oh boy was it worth it, they take incredibly fresh, sweet just the right amount and the butter frosting just melts in your mouth and just makes you want to eat them all, obviously I couldn't I shared with all the family and they all absolutely loved them. Oscar said there lovely bless him and was super impressed with the designs.

She started making cupcake cakes originally then got into cupcakes and making all sorts of different types of cakes, obviously depending on the design you like, how many tiers etc will depend on the price but she is very affordable and they taste so good! I loved how she put edible glitter on the cakes too, my mum was impressed with this too. I have looked at all her amazing work and will defiantly be having a cake done for future parties for my children. Go and have a really good look through her Facebook page at her amazing work.

She obviously wouldn't be able to send these out to you if your not near to my hometown 'Rugeley' as they could get damaged in the process but she does deliver if your quite near, it is so worth it if you live in the Staffordshire area to try her cupcakes then if your impressed get yourself booked in for a cake. How amazing is that spiderman above?! All her information is on her Facebook profile HERE.

Message Emily if you have any enquiries about her cakes, hope you like the look of them they really do taste as good as they look. Just a shame there too many syns for slimming world aha.

SNUG EMPORIUM AFTERNOON TEA FOR MY BROTHERS BIRTHDAY

Hello lovelies, a couple of weeks ago me and Dan treated my brother to an afternoon tea at our local coffee shop, me and Liam love our mid week coffee/tea catch ups and we both love cake so I thought it would be a perfect birthday treat.

We're all quite fussy with sandwich fillings, there was ham, cheese and pickle and cucumber sandwiches, the cheese and pickle didn't really get touched but the rest were demolished, the cakes didn't last much longer either, they were delicious all accompanied by a gorgeous pot of Yorkshire tea. Lawson got in on the action just near the end, Oscar sadly missed out as he was at nursery but I will definitely be going again with Oscar he loves cake! We have recently been having our own little tea parties at home but this is such a lovely place to go if your ever in the Staffordshire area.

The decor is stunning, floral and vintage and the staff are so pleasant and make you feel really welcome and go out of their way to make sure everything is ok. I had a lovely afternoon with my family and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Afternoon tea for 2 = £20 , its £10 a head after that, well worth it everything is fresh and most cakes homemade.

Have you been to afternoon tea before?
