PRETTY PINK LIPS

Hello lovelies, I thought I would share with you a handful of my pretty pink lipsticks, you wouldn't believe it but I actually gave a lot of my pink lipsticks away to friends and family but I still have a little thing for pale pink lipsticks, they're close to the nude family maybe thats why I love them so much?

MY SPRING LIP PICKS

Hello lovelies, today I have for you some pretty spring lipstick picks for you all, I don't know about you but the brighter longer days and the warmth in the air makes me want to put a bit more of colour on my face, don't get me wrong I'm still over wearing my nude lipsticks but I think its time to add some more colour to myself, here are my favourite spring lip colours.

MY CURRENT FAVOURITE NUDES

Hello lovelies, if you didn't know by now I am obsessed with nudes, not the nudes you're thinking, the lip kind...

AUTUMN/WINTER LIP PICKS

Hello lovelies, today I thought I would share with you some of my favourite berry lip shades for autumn and winter, I am still a huge wearer of the nudes but I do love getting my berry/plum shades out at this time of year too, I will be doing a post about my nude favourites soon though.

MY TOP FIVE SPRING LIPSTICKS

Hello lovelies! How gorgeous has the weather been? I am totally loving spring already and all the pastel clothing and getting back into my pretty pink lipsticks, coral and nudes! I have put my plum shade lipsticks away and got out my spring favourites, here are just five for you all.

Mac Cremesheen lipstick in Creme Cup - As mentioned in my march favourites I adore this lipstick, this really was a love at first sight lipstick. As soon as I wore it on my lips I knew I had to be a proud owner of it even if they are over £15, cremesheen isn't one of my favourite finishes from Mac but it's all down to the colour for me on this lipstick, the perfect pinky nude to wear day or night with any attire. It lasts a food 4-5 hours especially with a lipliner underneath and makes your lips look shiny and purdy, considering this is the most current collection to my Mac lipsticks it is the most used and I fear I will run out of this this year, shock horror!

L'oreal Colour Riche Matte lipstick in Androgyne - I am loving these L'Oreal lipsticks at the minute and got a fantastic deal on super drug the other week they had a one day offer online where you buy these lipsticks for only £3 AND they were 3 for 2! So I got 3 of these babies for £6 absolute bargain when I think there just under £8 for one alone. I love this pink so much, it reminds me a lot like Mac's candy yum yum just a little lighter and a tiny bit more subtle, it is matte but isn't very drying on the lips at all it has quite a nice soft velvet finish on my lips and if I don't fancy the matte look I whack a bit of pink lipgloss on top.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Lacquer in Babe Idole - A new lip product to my collection but already  a firm favourite for spring, another pink! As you can see I'm going pretty pink mad this spring, I just love a lot of tones of pink on my pale complexion, I also think it looks cute with my freckles and a pink blush. This is a liquid lipstick that dries pretty quickly and gives a little stain to the lips, it's very girly and easy to wear.

Maybelline Colour Sensational Rebel Collection lipstick in Peach Poppy - Another newish lipstick to my collection and I haven't stopped wearing since I purchased it! This could be the prettiest peach coral lipstick I own. It feels really nice on the lips and leaves a subtle stain on the lips which makes it very long lasting. I love Maybelline lipsticks for long lasting effects and these certainly don't let you down.

Mac Amplified lipstick in Vegas Volt - The brightest of my top five spring lipstick picks, it is very flattering considering how bright it is, this lipstick instantly gives me confidence and lasts a good 4-5 hours on the lips before needing to re-apply. It's a bold coral with a hint of red, I think most people could pull this color off, it really is stunning!

What lipsticks do you like to wear in the spring time or are you an all rounder?

MY TOP FIVE HIGH END LIPSTICKS

Hello lovelies, if you missed my drugstore top five then the post is here, but I thought I would share with you a higher end version also. It was so hard to choose five favourites and I have also recently really been loving Mac's creme cup but it's still quite new to my collection so here are five stand out favourites from my collection.

Illamasqua Glamore- Rosepout : This is the most perfect nude with a hint of pink to go with any make up look, it's like your lips but better lipstick and lasts a good few hours, I got this in a beauty box a while back and was so impressed with it, it feels like butter on your lips its so soft and this lipstick made me buy more!

Charlotte Tillbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G - Coachella Coral : My first Charlotte Tilbury purchase was this gorgeous lipstick, I loved the coral shade and the stunning rose gold packaging, it's just to die for right? I still need to add more of these lipsticks to my collection but this lipstick is stunning and perfect for spring/summer.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine - 81 Fiction : My boyfriend very kindly got me this in duty free when we was travelling to Dublin for my birthday weekend, I was over the moon when he said he would treat me at the Chanel counter, I was so overwhelmed though as I always am when I am at hughstreet stores but I fell in love with this gorgeous berry shade lipstick, it is so smooth and silky on the lips and can be as sheer or opaque as you like depending on how many coats you put on your lips.

YSL Rouge Pur Couture - 52 : You can't get more luxe than YSL packaging, it is so satisfying to stare at on my make up dresser and if I had a ridiculous amount of money I would have one in every shade. This shade I picked up though caught my attention straight away, a very bright coral and quite similar to one of my drugstore favourites (Maybelline colour sensational). This looks perfect on your lips for the spring and summer months or for a night on the town with the girls.

Mac - Crosswires : I don't know if I am the only one who gets stumped when I am at a Mac counter, especially the lipsticks, but there is just so many finishes and shades to choose from you really don't know where to start! After a blog event I did a while back I was with a lot of beauty bloggers so as much as that screams trouble to the purse it also meant a lot of help in the lipstick department, so after some discussions and opinions I picked up this and have never looked back, I adore this shade so much it goes with any make up look and you can wear it from day to night, it is super pretty, I would say suit everyones complexion and lasts around 4 hours on the lips, longer if you're wearing a lip liner but handy to keep in your bag.

Are any of these lipsticks in your top five? If you're more of a budget beauty buyer I have a drugstore version here.

MY TOP FIVE DRUGSTORE LIPSTICKS

Hello lovelies, it has been a while since I did a 'top five' sort of beauty post so I thought I would kickstart it of again starting with my drugstore lipsticks, I also have a higher end one coming up and thinking of going through my make up collection doing this, maybe as I loving seeing what people's favourite beauty items are.

Seventeen Stay Pout - Kiss Me Quick : This is such a pretty pink shade lipstick and so easy to wear, it can be worn day or night to look girly and pretty. The formula of these lipsticks are quite creamy yet last quite a while on the lips. I love the sleek black packaging and they are super affordable, Boots usually have some good Seventeen offers going on too.

Topshop - Wicked : I think Topshop lipsticks are very underrated, they have an amazing colour range and the colour pay off is gorgeous and very pigmented! This lipstick in particular is more of my vampy shades but such a gorgeous deep berry shade that I love wearing in winter and autumn but could be used in spring with some light hearted eye shadow maybe, although I tend to go for brights and nudes in spring and summer. It lasts a long while and could do with a lip liner to keep it all in place without smudging all over the lip area.

Maybelline Colour Sensational - Shocking Coral : This is one of my ultimate favourite drugstore lipsticks, absolutely perfect for summer and spring if you're feeling brave. It is a very bright coral with a hint of pink, this baby lasts through a sandstorm, drinking, eating or just enjoying life this lipstick will stick around and leave a subtle stain to your lips but not a nightmare to remove either.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet - Peach Club : This is another one of those lipsticks that is so easy to wear with whatever make up look you are going for and stays put for a good few hours. It is quite matte in finish but doesn't dry your lips out at all. I love this peachy shade on my pale complexion but also think it would look gorgeous on darker skin tones.

Maybelline Colour Drama Velvet Pencil - Nude Perfection : I have not stopped wearing this since I bought it a few weeks back, I am seriously loving nude lips at the minute and this really is nude perfection! if you want Kylie Jenner lips for under £5 you need this in your life. The only annoying thing about this is you need a huge ass sharpener which I am searching for at the minute, I know a lot of people get put of my lipsticks you have to sharpen but it is so worth it for the colour pay off and longevity, plus it's very affordable I am tempted to buy a handful of these just incase they ever go somewhere I am that obsessed with it.

Are any of my top five drugstore lipsticks in your favourites? If not let me know yours in the comments below lovelies, have a fab weekend!

MAKE UP REVOLUTION ATOMIC LIPSTICKS | REVIEW

Hello lovelies, today I have for you my favorite purse friendly brand on the blog with there products starting from just ONE POUND that is including these new gorgeous atomic lipsticks! Some are more daring than others but there are two I am in love with already, can you guess which ones they are? Carry on reading to find out and a bit more about them.

Make Up Revolution Atomic Serpent £1.00* - Poison Ivy green is the only colour I can describe for this lip shade, I personally wouldn't go to town and get the milk with this on my lips, I probably wouldn't even be brave enough to wear it out in the dark but this would be perfect for a Halloween look!

Make Up Revolution Make Me Magnificent £1.00* - This is one of my favorite shades from the atomic lipstick range and probably the most subtle, it is very frozen princessy I think, a beautiful pinky purple with a crystal shine to it. All of the lipsticks glide on the lips so smoothly and don't latch on to any nasty dry bits.

Make Up Revolution Make Me Tonight £1.00* - A great autumnal shade, quite a brown shade with a hint of plum purple, this would go on much nicer with a dark lip liner and if you apply a lip liner underneath not only do they make the color pop more they also make the lipstick last that little bit longer.

Make Up Revolution Atomic Ruby £1.00* - This is my second favorite lipstick out of the bunch, red lipstick seems to be really growing on me at the moment, I love wearing red lipsticks in winter and this will definitely be worn a lot! Look how stunning it it, bright, very intense, cheery and as red as a post box! You really would turn some heads with this on your lips.

Make Up Revolution Make It Right £1.00* - Another gorgeous autumn lip shade, plummy purple with an almost metalic shine to it.

All of these lipsticks have at least a couple of hours wear out of them and they leave the tiniest stain behind which is great if you like longevity from a lipstick. They are super affordable and feel like butter on the lips. Which shades are you liking from my post?

What are you waiting for, go an order Atomic Ruby ;) Or whatever shade takes your fancy at www.makeuprevolutionstore.com

FAVORITE LIPSTICKS UNDER £20, £10 AND £5

Hello lovelies today I thought I would share with you a few of my favorite lipsticks for everyone's budget. A colour range too I have nudes, pinks and just off red shade, I am big for corals at the minute but these are my most reached.

UNDER £20
Mac Cremesheen - Crosswires £15.50 : The luxury one of them all, I fell in love after one swatch of this at the Mac counter. It is a shade you can wear day or night a pinky red that I think would suit absolutely anyone. Cremesheen's are very creamy with a bit of added shine to the lips. It lasts a good few hours and feels lovely on the lips.

UNDER £10
Maybelline Colour Sensational Vivids - Shocking Coral £7.19 : My favorite bright lipstick of all time, super long lasting and you have to be brave to wear this one. It is a very vibrant pink with orange undertones, it sits nice on the lips and leaves a stain behind so even if your eating or drinking throughout the day it will stick around.

UNDER £5
Make-Up Revolution - The One* £1.00 : The best pound lipsticks around, great formula and it lasts quite a bit too. This is my go to nude it has a slight pink tone to it so it doesn't look ridiculous on my pale complexion. They smell really similar to Mac lipsticks and have an added extra at the bottom of the lid, you can't really go wrong with this lipstick and will save your pennies it is also a dupe for Mac Hue I think.

Pulling the wool over your eyes.

Mac - Hue & Make-Up Revolution* - The One

To tell you the truth I googled another word for dupe and a list of things came up and pulling the wool over someones eyes was my favorite aha! So I hope to pull the wool over your eyes, If I can, I wonder if any of you beauty bloggers out there can tell which is which on the lip swatch above? Please mind my whispers there all gone now, cringe! How can we not tell these till we crop and the zoom mode comes on pic monkey? Yeah I'm so bad at beauty blogging to not re-do the whole thing but I am a mum and a house wife pretty much with two jobs, ain't nobody got time for dat! Anyway back to the 'dupe' post. I have had Mac Hue for a while in my lipstick collection and always loved it, you can't beat a good nude lipstick can you? A glaze finish which leaves my lips looking glossy, sheer but is very buildable to a pigmented bold colour. This unlike many nudes doesn't make you look like the walking dead and compliments pale skin if anything, with its hint of pink it is such a pretty nude that I think everyone needs in there collection, they last around 3 hours though which isn't brilliant for a £15 lipstick but it is gorgeous and of-course the vanilla scent is always appealing to me, but I'm a sucker for scents. If you do like Mac's Hue though I have an un-canny resemblance for just ONE POUND! Make-up Revolution have a lipstick in the shade The One which I think is the exact same, if you can see already by the lip swatch picture? If you hadn't already guessed Mac is on the top lip and Make-up Revolution is on the lower lip, I actually found Make-up Revolutions lipstick far more pigmented, not at all drying and lasts just that little bit longer so you would be mad not to pick this up for a measly pound if your a fan of nudes and it also has a very similar scent to the Mac lipstick. I was very lucky to receive a little collection of Make-up revolutions lipsticks when they was new on the scene and was very excited about them and fell in love with them straight away, a lot of people think there just a copied version of MUA but I think they have far better quality products but that is purely just my personal opinion. I actually did a battle of lipsticks mentioning MUA against Make-up Revolution here. Even if you do own Mac's Hue I would highly recommend you picking up The One, I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised by the quality and lasting power of a cheap but very cheerful lipstick.

What are your thoughts?  I would also love to hear your fave dupes below in the comments.

Mini Drugstore Haul.

Hello my lovelies, how are you all? Hope your enjoying your weekend. I have recently been to Blackpool and as I was there I did a teeny bit of shopping, maybe got too many lipsticks to add to my unhealthy collection already, woops, but a girl can never have too many lipsticks right?

I'll start of with the lipsticks, as they are my favorite make-up pieces. They just finish of your look don't you think?

I just love them all, I was only going to get a Revlon Matte Balm after seeing so many good reviews, but it was 3 for 2 in boots and I wanted some more Lip Butters too. Woops and it was also 3 for 2 on Seventeen also! I am gutted though as there is one thing missing in this haul and its the Phwoar paint concealer, I have searched high and low and can't find it anywhere. But the Seventeen lipstick is gorgeous, it is a lot brighter on the lips than in the tube though, I defiantly wouldn't be able to pull this off in the day. The Revlon Matte Balm is a lovely soft more subtle pink though and definitely wearable in the day. I am already a massive fan of Revlon lip butters they just feel so nourishing on the lips and the colour lasts a good few hours, just feels like a tinted lip balm. I am also loving matte lipsticks at the moment as I think they just last a lot longer, they can be drying on your lips but if you prep them before hand your fine! The matte lipsticks I picked up where MUA Wild Berry and Sleek's Papaya Punch both gorgeous colours and the papaya lunch lasted me all night in Blackpool after drinking a couple of cocktails too. I will wear all of these though and they look great amongst my array of lipsticks, just need a bigger storage unit now...

As you all know I'm sure I love doing my nails, I haven't actually tried any of the Seventeen Gel polishes so as it was 3 for 2 I thought why not get one, this shade was the only one in the collection I didn't really have shade wise, in my current nail polish collection so that's why I chose this one. I have tried to use this since buying it and can't seem to get on with the formula but I won't be defeated I shall try again soon. Then after looking through Boots I came across BnM and was only going in there to get some snacks for the hotel, but as you do as a beauty blogger you see what beauty things they have to offer and I stumbled across these for £2 what a bargain, considering these are worth £8-£10. I loved the colourful design reminded me of a peacock so I will be trying these out soon, look out for a review!

I repurchased my favorite drug store foundation, in case you didn't already know. But this time I got it in the shade lighter I usually get. I usually buy a foundation a tadge darker than my skin as I am so pale and I hate it, so I like to add some colour in my face but for a change I thought I would get Ivory, used to getting 'classic beige' and its a perfect match! Still a touch darker but a lot more closer to my skin tone than previous shades I have tried. I just love this foundation as it lasts all day and night and its medium to full coverage.

Then lastly I just bought another handbag hairspray.

I rarely ever used to wear hairspray but now it seems to be a regular thing for me before I go out the door, maybe because it's so windy? I have a huge Tresemme that I keep at home and love dearly but I also love this one too and I buy the little ones for my handbag for touch up's when needed. Like my Tresemme one it's a very lightweight hair spray that you can't feel on your hair, it doesn't make your hair feel nasty and crispy it just feels like air if you understand aha? I just love it so had to repurchase it again. Do you have a favorite hairspray?

So that was my mini haul it was over two days and I ended up speaking to a lovely woman at the Estee Lauder counter in Blackpool Boots and she gave me a little make over and some samples which was lovely of her and then I got a skin care consultation from a lovely woman at the Clarins counter and came back with some sample goodies so I can't wait to try them out as I am new to Clarins skin care and I'm always hearing good things about them, so yeah looking forward to that. If any of you have any Clarins skin care reviews I'd love it if you left your links to them below, thank you.

A month of lipsticks, January 31st 2013.

Hello lovelies, for the final post on my month of lipsticks I thought it would be nice to get  others involved and let them share with you all there favorite lipsticks! Here are the lovely girls that got involved.

The lovely Amy who I am always chatting away to on Twitter who owns this gorgeous blog who I have become very close friends with. She is an amazing woman.
Astor - 102 Catwalk Fuschia

This is probably a brand that many people haven't heard of but after trawling the Fragrance Direct website; I came across Astor lipsticks for 99p. This is from their Rogue Couture collection and is a gorgeous pinky purple colour, which is perfect for Autumn/Winter. It lasts for a good few hours and I find it doesn't smudge like alot of lipsticks. The lipstick itself is quite silky and highly pigmented, which I'm so pleased with. The colours are really bold, and you don't need to keep reapplying.

I love the shimmery effect that this lipstick has, it really helps to bring out the shine of the lips. As I have pale skin I think purple/pink lipsticks really help to bring colour to the face, especially the cheeks. I bought a few of the Astor lipsticks and they are great quality, especially for 99p.

Have you ever tried Astor lispticks?

Russian Red is MAC Cosmetics No1 best selling red lipstick. Described as an intense blue toned red Russian Red is rich and striking in colour and luxurious in texture. The deep, classic hue of the red and the matte formula makes it the most flattering colour to wear and suits everyone whatever age or skin tone.
So why I hear you say, is Russian Red my favourite lipstick in the whole wide world out of the many thousands or so I own? What I love most about Russian Red is how timeless and elegant it is, yet it's so easy to wear in day to day life. The fact it fits like a glove with every skin tone imaginable not to mention it being a basic necessity in practically every girl's make up bag. If you're yet to try this gift from above, what is it you're waiting for? The pigmentation is to die for, as is the wonderful non drying matte formula. All of these reasons whipped up together is what gives Russian Red the name of My Favourite Lipstick in my make up bag!

Although the majority of my lipsticks are made by MAC, the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in number 54 is my favourite lipstick because it has the most soft, gloss like texture without any sticky feeling.

It’s easy to apply, with the most amazing glossy finish. It’s also the perfect ‘my lips but better’ colour and would be suitable for anyone. Although it’s expensive, I’ve owned this for well over 3 years and love it so much.

Much love,

I must admit, I'm totally in love with pinky, peachy lipsticks. My favourite lippy has got to be my Australis Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick in Honky Tonk, which is a really pretty fruity peach colour. It works well as a day-to-day lipstick, and looks lush on a night out. It's so soft and creamy, and very buildable, and is definitely my number one go-to lipstick.

Words by Hannah Rosalie...

I am obsessed with lip products! The bolder the colour the better!
As we are approaching Spring, I wanted to try and move away from my typical red/purple lip colours and go a little more fresher!
On a shopping trip recently I spotted the Lasting lip stains by Collection. I was spoilt for choice on colour and ended up purchasing 'Flirt 3', which is a Rosy matte stain.
I loved this colour however I wanted it a little bit more glossy!
I decided to experiment a little and applied Benefit's Cha Cha tint over it.
The results where amazing! It ended up working really well and being just the colour I was after!
I find the tints and stains last so much longer the lipsticks and think this is my 'go to' technique for the season!

Lippylikes
LippyLikes
With a name like LippyLikes it will be no surprise to anyone that I love my lippy, so when I was asked to contribute to a Lipstick post , how could I say no? Deciding to say yes was no problem at all. The only problem for me was what lipstick to choose. I have a real penchant for bright, bold lipsticks. Readers of my blog, LippyLikes know that I love a strong lip and my love for Mac Rebel, So Chaud and Flat Out Fabulous is known to all. But when I was asked to pick a favourite, I quite controversially chose Mac's Honey Love.

Why? Because it is my perfect nude, goes with anything and lasts all day! Whats not to love about Honey Love x

Also some lovely tweeters took part when I asked what there favorite lipsticks where...

Hope you enjoyed my month of lipsticks lovelies and you didn't find it too boring, I can't actually believe I didn't fail! Hope you all had a lovely start to the year in January and have many more happier months and adventures xxx
