AUTUMNAL NAIL POLISH PICKS
29 September 2015
Hello lovelies, so today i thought I would share with you all some of my favourite nail polish picks for autumn, as you can see they are all fairly similar in colours and tones but different I assure you.
In the autumn and winter I tend to go for plum shades and nudes on my nails and lips or a deep red, it's not a great autumn.winter if your not rocking the plum am I right?
Seche nail polish in the shade Irresistible £7.95 - This is a really rich deep pink with purple undertones and a slight red tone to it also. It comes a little darker on the nails but I think this would suit most skin tones. Such a gorgeous deep berry shade that look beautiful on your finger nails swell as toes, I'm rocking this shade on my toes at the minute.
Max Factor Glossfinity in the shade Raspberry Blush £5.99 - I adore these nail polishes, not only do they last a while they go on so lovely. Such a gorgeous shade too, I think I'm going to paint my nails this colour after I've typed up this post.
No7 Stay Perfect in the shade Highland Mist £6.00 - Again a huge fan of the formula on the the No7 nail polishes, they make your nails look quite glossy. This shade is a orangey toned nude perfect for autumn.
Nails Inc nail polish in the shade Kensington high street £14.00 - I can only find the gel version of this online I'm afraid but this has been my favourite shade of them all for autumn winter, i wore this a lot last year and only recently just took it of my nails, it lasts a really long time without chipping and compliments my very fair skin unlike most dark shades, this also looks great teamed up with Charlotte Tilburys Glastonberry lipstick!
Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in the shade Chilli £3.99 - Unlike the hot named chili this nail polish is named after this colour is perfect for the chilli days we have now! Nothing like a warm nail polish to perk you up, it is a browny toned red nail polish and adds a lovely subtle shine to the nails, I like this as a lot of deep dark colours can look a little dull on the nails but this is lovely. They are so affordable too and come in a great range of colours, barry m is one of my favourite nail polish brands.
What nail polishes do you love in autumn?

Maybelline Super Stay Gel nail colour - Red hot getaway £4.49
Topshop - Adrenaline £6.00
Hello lovelies, it's been a while since I did a 'what's on my nails post' so I thought I would change that, now I have two little monkeys to chase around after it's very rare I get those precious moments to spend pampering myself, especially painting my nails as you have to have drying time etc and by the time the kids bed time is around I'm ready for mine too! Even if I am currently catching up with lots of blog posts at 11pm, whoops. Anyway back to the post, I spotted this Maybelline polish in my local boots the other day and fell in love with the shade, it's one of their new summer bliss range, it has lasted over 7 days with the help of the glitter polish which is absolutely stunning from Topshop. I keep looking at my nails thinking is this too much all over as I was just going to paint the one accent nail but I do love sparkles.
The Topshop polish is one of their 5 years of beauty releases, hence the gorgeous rose gold packaging, I couldn't not pick this nail polish up when I spotted it on the shelf, it really caught my eye and makes my nails and toes look super pretty, glitzy and sparkly. The only downside to glitter polishes is there a right mare to get off! Both polishes seem to be very long lasting and they are very summery and bright.
Have you tried any of these polishes before, what shades are you currently reaching for?

BEAUTY BITS AND BOBS
31 May 2015
Hello lovelies, I know my blog seems very mumsy at the moment, babies over load! But I am trying to keep up to date with my beauty posts too and hopefully when I'm feeling a bit more confident I will post some fashion posts soon too. I went to Birmingham last week mainly to buy myself some new clothes but ended up kitting the boys out instead but I did get my hands on a couple of new beauty releases and some Topshop beauty bits!
I have seen the Topshop Lip Ombre out for a bit and been very curious by it, I was tempted to pick them all up when I went in the store but perplex got my full attention so popped that in my basket, it has a gorgeous fuchsia pink with a peachy orange shade, I can't wait to have a play with that, then I picked up some invisibobbles as these are great for your hair and I loved the colour of them and of course couldn't leave without getting any of the five year celebration bits, the gold packaging is just stunning! I picked up the nail polish in shade adrenalin and the lipstick innocent, the lipstick is a perfect day to day wear shade and a good few hour wear out of it.
After Topshop I then popped into boots, I was going to get the new Barry M blushes but wasn't blew away by them so left it, I am a massive fan of their nail polishes don't get me wrong but not so much a big fan of their make up so I was having a mooch and spotted these gorgeous new Bourjois polishes, I wasn't even aware of a new release but picked them up straight away! As it was 3 for 2 also it would of been rude not to indulge. They are about £7 and the formula is stunning, so opaque after just one application and fast drying, looking forward to seeing how long they last on the nails, it says long lasting online so I shall let you know. Then lastly one new release I did want to try out was the new Revlon ultra hd lipsticks, hibiscus caught my eye straight away and when I swatched it I fell in love immediately so had to get it, so glad I did it smells amazing, lasts a good long while and feels beautiful on the lips, will definitely need to invest in some more shades in the near future.
Have you picked up any new releases lately or just been treating yourself to new make up?

Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nail paint in Peach for the stars £4.99
& Top Coat £4.99
Hello lovelies, I have been wanting to try these nail polishes since they came out but my local boots doesn't stock Barry M sadly so had to wait until I went out of town, since only having less than two weeks to give birth I have avoided bus journeys and waited until the fella was of work to take a trip out of town aha. I know you can order them offline but I'm the sort of person who likes to see shades in touch/face value rather from off a screen as they usually resemble nothing to the online pictures.
I headed straight for peach for the stars, such a gorgeous shade although it's more on the pink side than peach it's still such a stunning shade perfect for spring/summer. I couldn't believe the shine and feel to my nails once I painted them and applied the top coat, it really did look like I just had gel nails done. All this without a UV light too just facing them into the sunlight which is pretty easy with all this gorgeous weather were having lately. I'm curious to try the top coat with other polishes too to see if it works.
There isn't a huge range of shades in this Barry M range but I think if they sell well they will introduce some more shades for the summer hopefully, maybe some pastels would be lovely. Barry M just never seem to let me down on the polish front, the most affordable and long lasting nail polishes I use I have to say, I couldn't recommend them enough to you all. I have been wearing this for 3 days and no chips at all, not even at the tip of my nail, I will let you all know how long they roughly lasted before chipping, go check this range out if you haven't already, I got mine from Boots and they currently have a buy one get one half price on the Barry M nail polishes, bargain!

Rimmel Rita Ora 60 Seconds Super Shine in Oragina £2.99
Hello lovelies, I did say I would have another one of these polishes for you and next week too, but will be my last one then I promise! I am just totally loving the longevity of these nail polishes, the colour pay off and the shade range! So practical as well as gorgeous on the nails, I am a mum who is constantly on the go and constantly washing her hands so if it stays put on my nails for a whole week without chapping your in it for the long run!
I adore this peachy coral shade, I think this would suit all skin tones it is super shiny like the bottle suggests and this colour actually goes with a range variety of outfits too. If you like the look of my midi ring it was like under two pound from Newlook! I think they are so pretty. There isn't a lot more I can say about this polish that I haven't already mentioned in last weeks nail post but I'd highly recommend you checking these polishes out if you like opaque, quick drying, super shiny nails that are chip free for at least a week AND it's only £2.99 probably free on your boots points too girls!
Have you tried these polishes yet?

Rimmel Rita Ora 60 Seconds super shine in Glastonberry £2.99
Hello lovelies, today I have for you another Rimmel nail polish but this one is far better than last weeks! I have wore this for over a week and the chips are so minimal without a top coat! The colour is absolutely gorgeous, for some reason it looks really red on these pictures but its more of a bright coral/red shade. They really are super shiny and that lasts through out the week, I am so impressed with these nail polishes and they are under £3! I am afraid next week will have to be another one of these because I love them so much, they have a gorgeous shade range and the lasting power is just perfect.
If your a one coat kinda gal these will be your fix, they are quite opaque with just one swipe and they are super fast at drying but I like to add two coats just to be sure. I love the packaging of the new Rita Ora polishes too. They make my nails look pretty and healthy, also as they are only £2.99 I would pick up nearly all the shades as Boots currently have a 3 for 2 offer on, wait till you see next weeks gorgeous spring shade.
Have you tried the new Rita Ora polishes Rimmel have to offer yet?

LITTLE 3 FOR 2 HAUL | BOOTS
24 March 2015
Hello lovelies, so on Thursday I popped into Boots purely just to try out the new L'Oreal foundation but as I walked in I saw '3 for 2 on all make-up' this brings me joy aha! So I thought sod it I will pick up a few more bits whilst I'm there, like is there a limit to how many lipsticks you own? Of-course not. So I got this...
L'Oreal Infallible 24HR Matte foundation £6.99 in the shade Vanilla - I was umming and arring about picking this foundation up as although I have an oily t-zone and do usually go for quite a matte finish I thought it might be a bit too matte and look cakey on my skin but after reading a lot of good reviews and swatching the formula on my hand I thought it might be alright so look out for a review soon!
Rimmel Soft Khol Kajal eye liner pencil £2.99 in the shade Pure White - After getting a make over done at the Mac store not long ago the lovely make up artist used a white on my water line and I was so surprised how bright it really made my eyes, I have toyed around with white before and it hadn't done anything for me but I will continue to play around with it till I get the look I like as I think it really makes the white in your eyes sparkle.
Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque £8.99 in the shade Babe Idole - I believe these are brand new to the Bourjois range and after swatching the nudes and brights I preferred this one the most, my nudes are getting a bit out of control at the minute so I thought I would get a pretty pink ready for spring. They claim to hydrate your lips for 10 hours and not go anywhere, I'll be the judge of that Bourjois.
Maybelline Color Sensational £6.99 in the shade Peach Poppy - Another pretty colour I thought would look great ready for spring and I am a huge fan of these lipsticks already, I think this is their new range 'rebel' ones, don't quote me on that though but I just fell in love when I swatched it and had to have it in my collection.
Rimmel Sweetie Heart I love matte £3.99 nail varnish in the shade You're Mine - I was after some more brighter colours for spring and summer but this gorgeous pale pink really grabbed me, it looks really similar to Essie fiji and I will have to do a comparison and I am interested to see how it looks matte.
Rimmel Rita Ora 60 Seconds super shine £2.99 nail varnish in the shade Glaston-berry - Like I said above I was after some more brighter shades for spring/summer, I probably have a nail varnish similar to this shade but I loved it, I love Rita Ora's new range packaging too and have my eye on peachella but they didn't have that shade in my local store, I'm looking forward to featuring this in an upcoming 'What's on my nails Wednesdays'.
Have you been taking advantage of the Boots 3 for 2 offer?

Nails Inc for Marie Claire
Hello lovelies, that time again where I show you what polish is covering my nails, I saw this nail polish freebie on someones Instagram and stalked every shop for it and couldn't find it anywhere! Until I was out of town one day and spotted it straight away, I grabbed it without a second thought, I love Nails Inc nail polishes and when there free with a magazine you really can't go wrong. Its like a gorgeous duck egg blue with a grey haze. It looks so stunning on my pale nails and lasts a long while, if you can tell by the swatch pictures my thumb has snapped at that ridge, I know OUCH. But I had to take these pictures before I finally braved it and cut my thumb nail off, sob.
It sadly doesn't have a shade name on it anywhere so I can't help you there and don't know their collection well enough to tell you a shade match if you was wishing to purchase this, but I would defy recommend getting it as a freebie with the magazine, it is very shiny on the nails and I think this would compliment everyones skin tone, I even popped it on my toes, with a struggle! I have a big belly now with only 8 weeks to go but they look pretty good ;)
Will you be picking up this freebie in the Marie Claire magazine or have your eye on the other shades?

Barry M Limited edition in Carousel
Hello lovelies, today I have another Barry M polish to grace my blog because there just amazing. They are super affordable like I have said before and come in so many shades and finishes, I am really looking forward to their new collection that is coming out soon, all of the pastels look amazing and they dry quick?
But today I have a gorgeous coral with a stunning shimmer to it but the shimmer inside it is quite subtle which I like, it really makes my nails shine, can you see how glossy they look when the sun hits them, they don't chip and I only apply two coats to make them really opaque and don't even bother with a top coat, shh.
I also love the cute love heart top, makes it really girly and would be perfect for a valentines gift if it wasn't limited edition aha, I don't know if they still have this in store but they always bring out stunning limited edition shades and I am a sucker for buying them and I am sure they have a colour similar to this in their standard ranges.
What do you think to this limited edition nail polish by Barry M?

L'Oreal Nouvelle Vague 851 £4.99
Hello lovelies, today I have a gorgeous pastel shade for you all, I am in love with this shade perfect for spring time and really compliments all skin tones I think. I was recently rummaging through the clearance baskets in my local Tesco's as they took down all there Max Factor and L'Oreal make up down so I picked up a few bargains, this being one of them I got this for about £2 and fell in love with it straight away.
I used two coats to make it more opaque, it is a lilac/off blue shade and I just can't stop staring at my nails, it dried pretty quickly and it gives a gorgeous sheen to the nails. I love the patented brush you get with it to make an easier more precise application on the nails. The L'Oreal color riche range comes in all sorts of shades to suit your mood and skin tone etc and I love there slim sleek packaging.
Have you got a favorite L'Oreal nail polish shade?

Barry M - Aquarium collection Mediterranean £3.99
Hello lovelies, I had a big break on my nails for the first time in ages, my nails felt good after the breather and I have a fantastic buffer to show you soon on the blog that will make you not want to paint your nails for a while, but for now I have the prettiest mermaidesque nail polish to show you. As you may know by now I am a huge fan of Barry M nail polishes, they are super affordable and last a good few days before chipping, I noticed this aquarium collection in a local boots store and couldn't resist this mesmerising colour, its almost metallic with stunning shimmers running through it going from pink to copper in the light. The packaging is also cute too, I have had so many compliments since wearing it and I think it goes really well with my fair skin tone but I also think this would look gorgeous if you had a darker skin tone, it's way too beautiful to resist.
Have you tried any of the Barry M Aquarium collection?

24 December 2014
Hello lovelies, today I thought I would share with you a Christmassy 'what's on my nails' who doesn't love a bit of glitter and sparkles on Christmas right? Also I think red and silver are very Christmassy colours so I thought I would team the pair together and do a sparkly number on my finger tips, the top coats I used from Barry M are quite sparse on their own, you would have to do about four coats and I am not a patient nail painter so I opted for a base coat in the same shades.
Butter London - Come to bed red, I firstly painted my nails with this red to give my nails a more red opaque look, this stuff is gorgeous and glides on the nails like a dream. It is a stunning red alone but I wanted some sparkles for Christmas.
Barry M - Red Glitter, I painted this on top of the come to bed red for a gorgeous glittery finish, it really is stunning and looks like Dorothys slippers from the Wizard of Oz.
Nails Inc - Soho silver, I painted this on my ring finger for the perfect base for my silver sparkles, again this is a beautiful colour on its own, very festive and great for new year parties too.
Barry M - Silver, I don't think this is as pigmented as the red glitter but it just gives that little bit of glamour to your nails and makes them look like pretty silver sparkly baubles.
What have you put on your nails for the festive season?

Maybelline Color Show - Noite De Gal £2.99
Not only have I been going from berry to vampy on my lips I have also gone vampy on my nails, perfect for autumn and Halloween! This is a stunning deep purple that looks a tadge lighter when the sun hits it. I find these polishes great for the small price tag, you get a good 2-3 days wear out of them without chipping and they have all sorts of shades and finishes. One of my favorite winter shades is brocade a gorgeous gold glittery one, but this is a stunning shade as I don't usually wear dark nail polishes because I am sooo pale.
What are your thoughts on dark vampy polishes?

Natural Collection - Black Cherry £1.99
These pictures are actually quite old but I thought there is no point in wasting them, isn't this just the most perfect autumnal/winter shade? Another one for you, this is a gorgeous deep Cherry shade with a shimmer to it, I love this shade and so cheap! I have wore this for three days and its still not chipped, what a bargain at £1.99!! Simple packaging which is fine you can see the shade clearly through the bottle and lasting power without top coat is a bonus. A favorite of mine, always have good deals at Boots on Natural collection too, most of there products are under £5 definitely worth checking out.

I wanted something bright for my hols so this is perfect as it is a neon pink and what's pink without some sparkly gems and sequins? This L'Oreal nail polish is perfect for some extra jazz and really makes your nails stand out, I like to be a little subtle though just wearing it on my ring finger. I have put these on all my toes though and there looking very pretty in my flip flops. I have * the Nails Inc polish as I never pay £11 for them I pick all my Nails Inc polishes up at TKMaxx for just a fiver! Hope you're all ok and enjoy my posts whilst I'm away for the week.

Barry M Limited Edition - Lilac Foil £3.99
Hello lovelies, today I have for you something a little different to my normal shade/effect. It is a lilac foil which is a metallic polish with bluey undertones as well as obviously lilac and hints of silver shimmer running through. The more I look at my nails the more I don't know if I like it, it looks so pretty in the bottle I just don't think its me. I got this free when spending £6 on Barry M which is very easy as I love Barry M nail polishes, the longevity is amazing and a shade for everyone. It looks very futuristic to me as metallic sort of shades do personally, I don't know why they just make me think of robots aha. Out of my collection I don't think this will be worn again so you may see this on my depop very soon!
What do you think to metallic nail polishes?

Revlon Parfumerie - China Flower £6.49
Hello lovelies, I have wanted to get my hands on one of these polishes for ages, I just think the bottle is adorable and I was very curious to trying a scented nail polish. I don't have many red nail varnishes so this was the first one I picked up, china flowers is a pretty shade name too, it was most definitely floral scented with a hint of sweetness, don't go sniffing your nails whilst there still wet though as you don't get the nice floral notes until it is bone dry. The colour is exquisite too, a beautiful post box red that makes me think of London as soon as I look at them, the buses and the telephone boxes with a touch of elegance. I love red next my pale skin but I also think it looks divine on darker skin also an all rounder which I think would look personally fab with a lbd on.
Have you tried these polishes yet or have your eye on any?
