WHAT'S ON MY NAILS WEDNESDAY #45

Maybelline Super Stay Gel nail colour - Red hot getaway £4.49
Topshop - Adrenaline £6.00
Hello lovelies, it's been a while since I did a 'what's on my nails post' so I thought I would change that, now I have two little monkeys to chase around after it's very rare I get those precious moments to spend pampering myself, especially painting my nails as you have to have drying time etc and by the time the kids bed time is around I'm ready for mine too! Even if I am currently catching up with lots of blog posts at 11pm, whoops. Anyway back to the post, I spotted this Maybelline polish in my local boots the other day and fell in love with the shade, it's one of their new summer bliss range, it has lasted over 7 days with the help of the glitter polish which is absolutely stunning from Topshop. I keep looking at my nails thinking is this too much all over as I was just going to paint the one accent nail but I do love sparkles.
The Topshop polish is one of their 5 years of beauty releases, hence the gorgeous rose gold packaging, I couldn't not pick this nail polish up when I spotted it on the shelf, it really caught my eye and makes my nails and toes look super pretty, glitzy and sparkly. The only downside to glitter polishes is there a right mare to get off! Both polishes seem to be very long lasting and they are very summery and bright.
Have you tried any of these polishes before, what shades are you currently reaching for?

Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nail paint in Peach for the stars £4.99
& Top Coat £4.99
Hello lovelies, I have been wanting to try these nail polishes since they came out but my local boots doesn't stock Barry M sadly so had to wait until I went out of town, since only having less than two weeks to give birth I have avoided bus journeys and waited until the fella was of work to take a trip out of town aha. I know you can order them offline but I'm the sort of person who likes to see shades in touch/face value rather from off a screen as they usually resemble nothing to the online pictures.
I headed straight for peach for the stars, such a gorgeous shade although it's more on the pink side than peach it's still such a stunning shade perfect for spring/summer. I couldn't believe the shine and feel to my nails once I painted them and applied the top coat, it really did look like I just had gel nails done. All this without a UV light too just facing them into the sunlight which is pretty easy with all this gorgeous weather were having lately. I'm curious to try the top coat with other polishes too to see if it works.
There isn't a huge range of shades in this Barry M range but I think if they sell well they will introduce some more shades for the summer hopefully, maybe some pastels would be lovely. Barry M just never seem to let me down on the polish front, the most affordable and long lasting nail polishes I use I have to say, I couldn't recommend them enough to you all. I have been wearing this for 3 days and no chips at all, not even at the tip of my nail, I will let you all know how long they roughly lasted before chipping, go check this range out if you haven't already, I got mine from Boots and they currently have a buy one get one half price on the Barry M nail polishes, bargain!

Topshop Matte Nails in Unfold £6.00
Hello lovelies, so I've finally stepped away from the new Rita Ora Rimmel polishes after saying I was going to do one more but I ended up buying more of them and they would have all ended up on here so I thought I would change things up a bit. I was shopping with Dan and Oscar on Monday and how depressing it is to go into Topshop when your the size of a whale and everything is so summery and gorgeous what other option do I have than to eye up the nail polishes? My local Topshop is rubbish and only has this 'beauty' side to it, no lipsticks or anything! So after a few minutes eyeing up the polishes I actually picked up this matte shade, I thought it was a perfect shade for spring and I am a huge fan of minty greens. It is very similar to their 'gone fishing' normal nail polish but obviously different finish and a touch lighter.
I'm not usually one for matte nail polishes as I think they chip far to easily but I loved the shade so much I had to get it. I also like the packaging of their matte nail polishes, the frosted bottles just look elegant on my nail polish stand, simple yet sleek. You only need 2 coats for a completely opaque finish and they claim to be long lasting so shall have to update you with that, see how long these last. It does leave a nice soft velvet finish on my nails though and it is quite drying which is always a plus for me, I hate waiting around for ages for the paint to dry before I can do anything.
Have you tried any of the Topshop matte nail polishes?

Rimmel Rita Ora 60 Seconds Super Shine in Oragina £2.99
Hello lovelies, I did say I would have another one of these polishes for you and next week too, but will be my last one then I promise! I am just totally loving the longevity of these nail polishes, the colour pay off and the shade range! So practical as well as gorgeous on the nails, I am a mum who is constantly on the go and constantly washing her hands so if it stays put on my nails for a whole week without chapping your in it for the long run!
I adore this peachy coral shade, I think this would suit all skin tones it is super shiny like the bottle suggests and this colour actually goes with a range variety of outfits too. If you like the look of my midi ring it was like under two pound from Newlook! I think they are so pretty. There isn't a lot more I can say about this polish that I haven't already mentioned in last weeks nail post but I'd highly recommend you checking these polishes out if you like opaque, quick drying, super shiny nails that are chip free for at least a week AND it's only £2.99 probably free on your boots points too girls!
Have you tried these polishes yet?

Rimmel Rita Ora 60 Seconds super shine in Glastonberry £2.99
Hello lovelies, today I have for you another Rimmel nail polish but this one is far better than last weeks! I have wore this for over a week and the chips are so minimal without a top coat! The colour is absolutely gorgeous, for some reason it looks really red on these pictures but its more of a bright coral/red shade. They really are super shiny and that lasts through out the week, I am so impressed with these nail polishes and they are under £3! I am afraid next week will have to be another one of these because I love them so much, they have a gorgeous shade range and the lasting power is just perfect.
If your a one coat kinda gal these will be your fix, they are quite opaque with just one swipe and they are super fast at drying but I like to add two coats just to be sure. I love the packaging of the new Rita Ora polishes too. They make my nails look pretty and healthy, also as they are only £2.99 I would pick up nearly all the shades as Boots currently have a 3 for 2 offer on, wait till you see next weeks gorgeous spring shade.
Have you tried the new Rita Ora polishes Rimmel have to offer yet?

Rimmel Sweet Heart Matte in You're Mine £ 3.99
Hello lovelies, as if I have done 40 nail posts since I started! That has gone so fast, since I stopped getting my nails done at the salon my nails have become a lot stronger and I have been able to get through my ever growing nail varnish collection, also doing these posts have helped me try all my polishes out rather than them just standing on my stand looking all pretty.
This nail polish is such a gorgeous shade but it doesn't last long at all I'm afraid guys! Obviously if you have a matte top coat it may last a little longer but I couldn't find mine before our trip to London and by the morning it had all chipped mostly! Was really disappointed as I put about three coats on alone as the formula was quite tricky to get right on the nails, I was finally happy with it on the third layer then it all chips. Least I know to stay clear of these in the future and will give this polish to a friend or family, if your just wearing it for the day its perfect and its such a pretty shade but if your not someone who paints their nails daily (who has time for that) then I wouldn't bother spending your pennies on it, personal preference.
The packaging is really sweet too and the pastel shades are all gorgeous so the only downfall is the lasting power but if you loved the shade and wasn't too fussed about it being matte you could always just use a normal top coat and wear it, this peachy pink is beautiful, ideal for spring and would look gorgeous for wedding nails or a christening I think.
Have you tried Rimmel's sweet heart matte range?

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Cotton £3.99 & Loreal Color Riche in Sequin Explosion £4.99
Hello lovelies, after seeing the gorgeous Kate over at Ghostparties sport a gorgeous white and gold number on her Instagram a few days ago I was craving to get some white on mine! I do find white the hardest nail varnish to pull off as it just looks messy to me on my nails, you have to be so perfect with it and I am far from it as you can see above! Also getting the right white nail varnish is vital, 'Ain't nobody got time for dat' rubbish white varnish that needs 7 layers for it to be opaque so I found the perfect polish! Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Cotton is amazing, it is quite opaque with just one coat but I always do two coats to be sure, it makes your nails lovely and shiny and lasts a few days without chipping but white is renown for chipping easily as well as red and black.
I didn't so much fancy the gold and have had this Loreal number in my collection for a while and not worn it so I thought this would be great for an accent nail, I love sparkly nails they are just a massive bugger at removing! I am so glad I only put the sparkles on one nail for that reason alone but how pretty is this sequin explosion? It's like my ring finger is having a party all on its own with a little disco ball full of specks of blues, pinks, purples, silver and gold. White would easily go with any other shade though if you fancied sprucing up an accent finger and white is also a great base for nail art, I miss doing more fancier nail art so I may have to start doing some more for you in the future.
What do you think to my white and sequin explosion nails and what is your favourite white opaque nail polish?

Nails Inc for Marie Claire
Hello lovelies, that time again where I show you what polish is covering my nails, I saw this nail polish freebie on someones Instagram and stalked every shop for it and couldn't find it anywhere! Until I was out of town one day and spotted it straight away, I grabbed it without a second thought, I love Nails Inc nail polishes and when there free with a magazine you really can't go wrong. Its like a gorgeous duck egg blue with a grey haze. It looks so stunning on my pale nails and lasts a long while, if you can tell by the swatch pictures my thumb has snapped at that ridge, I know OUCH. But I had to take these pictures before I finally braved it and cut my thumb nail off, sob.
It sadly doesn't have a shade name on it anywhere so I can't help you there and don't know their collection well enough to tell you a shade match if you was wishing to purchase this, but I would defy recommend getting it as a freebie with the magazine, it is very shiny on the nails and I think this would compliment everyones skin tone, I even popped it on my toes, with a struggle! I have a big belly now with only 8 weeks to go but they look pretty good ;)
Will you be picking up this freebie in the Marie Claire magazine or have your eye on the other shades?

OPI 'Muppets Most Wanted Collection' Mini in Chillin Like A Villain
Hello lovelies, I was after a pretty nude this week and remembered the muppet collection of opi mini's I previously bought from Tkmaxx so got this gorgeous nudey peach out. I can't find the set on Tkmaxx but here is a link for this shade on amazon. You really have to build up the layers if you want more of an opaque shade, if your looking for a really sheer nude this is perfect for you but I had to put on about three layers to get this more opaque peachy shade and it's still not really that opaque but I am in love with the shade. I think it looks really well on my pale complexion if you ignore my really dry nails, they need some tlc! I think this shade would look gorgeous on everyone's complexion though personally it's so pretty and very versatile and also adds a gorgeous shine to the nails.
I also think the mini opi bottles look so cute! I actually have this big cookie glass jar I keep all my mini polishes in as I think they look very decorative on my dressing table and their perfect for taking away on weekends away or for touch ups in your make up bag without being too bulky. I also think doing one nail in some glitter would really set the look of and the more I look at my nails the more I think I will add some glitter, maybe a gold!
What do you think of this mini opi shade?

Natural Collection - Black Cherry £1.99
These pictures are actually quite old but I thought there is no point in wasting them, isn't this just the most perfect autumnal/winter shade? Another one for you, this is a gorgeous deep Cherry shade with a shimmer to it, I love this shade and so cheap! I have wore this for three days and its still not chipped, what a bargain at £1.99!! Simple packaging which is fine you can see the shade clearly through the bottle and lasting power without top coat is a bonus. A favorite of mine, always have good deals at Boots on Natural collection too, most of there products are under £5 definitely worth checking out.
NOTD Star Gazer
15 November 2013
I have decided to name this nail art star gazer. A shooting star with lots of silver sparkles, this is how you re-create this look.
The colour is completely up to you even a baby blue would look gorgeous with this I think but I started with painting my nails all over in this beautiful pale pink from Models Own in Strawberry tart, one of there scented polishes which is not scented may I add, just the lid. Then I went over with Sally Hansens Dry fast top coat as I'm in impatient bugger and you need patience with nail art. I then popped a star on to my thumb in the left hand corner which again is completely up to you, you can put the star where you prefer. I got a packet of silver stars from a Ebay seller just type in your search bar star nail art and you will get lots of options. I pressed the star down pretty hard then again re-applied another coat of Sally Hansens top coat to make sure it stays put.
Then for the stripes I used my nail art pen which was from Primark that comes in a pack of two you can choose from a range of colours I chose a pack with gold and silver in. I then swiped carefully across with the silver nail art pen and made shooting star lines then went in after for the middle with a sparkly number from Rimmel in Disco Ball. For around the edges of my nail I used the silver nail art pen this was pretty easy I start from the middle then carefully follow my nail line and follow it up to the top then again on the other side.
Then again I re-applied another coat of Sally Hansens Super Dry top coat to hold them all together. I love this nail art its very girly and spacey. Hope you enjoyed this little nail art tip see you soon.

NOTD - Maybelline Color Show Brocades.
5 November 2013
Can we all appreciate how beautiful it is. Gold shimmer and speckles running all the way through it's just gorgeous. Like I said though to make the color bolder maybe put a a base coat of your choice underneath if not I applied two coats of this alone and I love the finish it leaves, here are a couple more pictures.
Will you be trying out the new Brocade range? I think I will defiantly be getting more shades. Also don't forget its 3 for 2 in boots.

NOTD
4 July 2013
It is such a gorgeous colour, I'm usually never keen on metallic looking shades or shimmery nail polishes. But this is adorable, the bluey green tones to the polish and the flakes of shimmer make it feel like a mermaids dream. I feel like a Disney mermaid when I look at my nails is that sad haha? Nether the less I am totally loving it! Also the fact I got it half price after buying Seventeen's new foundation. Love a good Boots offer.
The formulation itself is great too, with just one single coat it is high shine and opaque and dries in under 60 seconds, that's another thing I love about there new collection as I'm really impatient when it comes to nail drying. The brush is big and easy to sweep over the nails.
This is what it looks like on the nails, I took two in different lighting so you could see the shades in different lights.
What do you think of the colour? Have you tried there new collection of polishes?

Recent Beauty Buys
13 May 2013
As you can see i have mostly been buying face products, i have been addicted to buying lipstick's lately! I just seem to want every colour available. I also brought a couple new nail varnishes. Here are some more pictures and what i think of my purchases...
Botanics - Soothing eye make up remover all bright.
I'll be completely honest i invested in this because i saw it in one of 'viviannadoesmakeup' youtube videos, i didn't really need it as my Bioderma takes all my make up off but i thought i would give it ago especially if i wear some heavy eye make up on a night out or special occasion. It also says it even removes water proof make up for any skin type, it soothes the eye area and conditions your lashes so what could go wrong? It is an oily phase which should be shaken vigorously to activate the pop onto a cotton wool pad and gently swoop over your eyelids.
New lipsticks to add to my never ending collection, i just can't stop buying them! You can never have too much thought right? From left to right,
Revlon Colour Stay - High Heels
I loved the name to this lippy aswell as the colour, its a sheer pink that would go with any look! Any outfit. Just gives a little bit of colour to your lips not being too much or not enough a nice girly baby pink. It comes in lovely packaging i love how you can see the colour through the see through lid. It also clicks when you twist the bottom for more product to come out.
Revlon Lip Butter - Creme Brulee
I love the formula of these lip butter it feels like its nourishing your lips! There's nothing worse than a drying lipstick. I would say this colour is a peachy nude and a very natural lip colour. Again would go with any look i also love the packaging of the product it looks like candy!
Maybeline Colour Sensational - 910 Shocking Coral
By the name of the lipstick you would think WOW shock! It really is a daring pinky, reddy, orangey shade i have started being abit more braver with colours seeing as its nearly summer would look lovely with a subtle eye make up and a beautiful summer dress. I think the colour is absolutely gorgeous! Lovely finish too.
A couple foundations, the first one being a new one.
MUA Undress Your Skin - Porcelain
I heard good things about this foundation so was excited to jump on the bandwagon but i'm sadly disappointed. I can only describe it as being to wet? I couldn't really work with it and as i'm fair skinned i brought the lightest shade and it completely washed me out. Maybe if i got a darker shade it would have looked abit better but i'm not too sure. It just didn't tick my boxes. Also because it is illuminating it showed my break outs tremendously! So a defo no no for me. Sorry MUA you don't usually let me down.
Rimmel Lasting Finish - 303 True Nude
This is one of my favorite foundations! The coverage is just fantastic, covers up my nasty bits on my face and gives me a healthy dewy look. I always go from two different shades 'true nude' and 'classic beige' depending on if i have fake tan on or not! I don't no if it is 25 hour stay as i have never left my foundation on that long but it defonately lasts me all through the day. I would recommend this product if you like a good full coverage like me.
MUA Cover And Conceal - Fair
A new concealer to try out, i haven't used this on my face yet but it does come out quite thick so hopefully it will be good coverage to hide blemishes and dark under bags! Its from there new face range and i'm always one for trying something new. So looking forward to seeing how this works its magic.
Revlon Photo Ready - Coral Reef
I was actually a cream blush virgin till i brought this the other day! I am absolutely loving it too! It is so easy to apply you can't go wrong with it. You can use your fingers if your in a rush or on the go or i use my real techniques buffing brush and it goes on lovely. It is a pinky orange shade that gives a lovely flush of colour to your cheeks. I can't believe i had never used one before i want one in every shade now. From what i have seen of the Revlon ones though they only have a couple of shades so i am going to have to window shop at some other brands. I would really recommend this colour to anyone i think i would suit every skin colour and would make your cheeks look cheery and beautiful.
Boots - Facial Exfoliating Sponge
I brought this on a whim really as it was next to the botanics eye make up remover just to test it out. I haven't used it yet but curious to see if my skin will benefit in any way from it.
And lastly a couple of nail varnishes. From left to right,
MUA - Lush Lilac
MUA and there sneaky sneaky Essie look a like bottles it doesn't bother me but there's been abit of whowar about it! Does it really matter? There not exact copys? Just a little similar, i do think this colour is identical to Essie's Lilacism but in no way shame or form as good quality. The colour is a beautiful lilac and fab for spring and summer but it chipped awfully after just a day or two! It doesn't bother me as much as i enjoy painting my nails often but just something to bear in mind.
MUA - Ameretto Crush
Again a beautiful shade but chipped just after a day or two. Its a lovely colour though. What do you expect for a £1 though? Such good value be rude not to.
Maybeline Colour Show - Polka Dots
I love this nail varnish! A great way to funk up your nails on any shade! This at just £2.99 to a dupe i think for Loreals Confetti at £6.99 but currently on offer for £4.99 but Maybeline do it just as good. I have wanted this for abit and glad i have it now. This is a NOTD i did with my MUA- Ameretto Crush And Maybeline's - Polka dots...
Hope you liked my little haul and aren't having too much of a bad monday!
If you want to ask about any of these products feel free.
Thanks for reading
