I started Strangeness & Charm at the end of 2010, as a distraction from my uni work. I didn't think I would keep up with it and it would end up being forgotten about but almost four years later, I'm still writing it! What started off as a hobby has now become an important part of my life and I've met some amazing people through blogging from all over the country.

One of my favourite products this month has been the Makeup Revolution I <3 Chocolate eye shadow palette. For something that costs so little (£8!), it's surprising how brilliant the quality is and you can do a hell of a lot of looks with it! I've been reaching for it everyday, whether its for work or for my friend's wedding and I'll be using it so much over the autumn/winter too. 

Eleanor - Dream Love Live Fashion 

I am a 19 year old fashion and beauty blogger based in Durham and Leeds, and I am also a marketing student at university. My blog is mainly fashion based and features personal style, although I also do regular beauty and lifestyle posts! A product I'm loving this month is Pantene Pro V dry oil with Argan oil, I'd never tried Argan oil but it has transformed my frizzy hair it's amazing and totally lives up to the 

hype! 

Emily - Drained Beauty

I never wore make up til I was nearly 19 and started going out, I found a love for it and putting together a whole outfit from just finding one piece. It helped make me feel more confident and I love making different looks. I started a blog to share my ideas and passion for lifestyle, beauty and fashion. The blogging community are so friendly and supportive and helped me keep motivated to blog, I now am a lipstick hoarder, Instagram addict and I love spending my spare time reading through everyone else's blogs, thoughts and ideas. I have been loving the Elizabeth Arden flawless finish foundation this month, paired with my real techniques buffing brush. My skin has been breaking out a lot, so this has been a life saver with the amazing coverage I need. 

Laura - Laura Emie

My name is Laura and I'm 24 years old, I live on the boarder of North shropshire and Wales with my partner and our four year old son. I have finished a degree in education this year which was a huge challenge but well worth doing. I am currently working as a Mentor in a high school. I love animals and currently have 2 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs and 2 clownfish!




I see my blog as somewhere I can show my creative side and share all parts of my life with you. So as well as being a place to share new beauty finds like my Zoeva brushes, I have posted about decorating our spare room and getting my G-plan dressing table- which I am very please with! I hope to do some more lifestlye type posts soon and share with you what we get up to. Our son is staring school soon which will be a huge new chapter so I will be sharing my feelings on that. 



I am also working on bringing out a small range of sweatshirts and t-shirts with my own designs on, this will take me sometime but I want them to be perfect before I put them out there. I'm really excited to be designing them and I can't wait to show them to you all! I just hope you'll like them, haha! 






Choosing a favourite product this month is tricky, I am loving quite a few beauty products as well as the Zoeva brushes, but as I have written a blog post on those I went with a hair product. I always have battles with my hair, it will look nice the first half a day after it's been washed then it will go frizzy and it just won't grow past a certain point before I get split ends. So I went to Boots in search of a miracle! I came home with Lee Stafford shampoo, conditioner and 'Hair Growth, leave in conditioner' - they were £12 all together as they were on offer. I knew Lee Stafford shampoo and conditioner were lovely to use and smelt amazing but some how I had forgotten how good they are. They make my hair behave and really smooth it down. I have a sentive scalp and sometimes product can irritate it and in turn make my hair look dull, so to have a lovely shampoo and conditioner that works with my hair and scalp is great. The 'hair growth leave in treatment' is easy to use as I just spray it on to my scalp when my hair is towel dried and brush through. I then blow dry it and it does exactly what it promises! My hair feels healthier already just after using it for 2 weeks. The best thing about this product is that it has helped my scalp recover, so hopefully my hair will grow longer soon! I just can't get enought of the smell! 

#AFF BULLRING AUTUMN FASHION FIX

Hello lovelies me and some lovely bloggers was very lucky to be invited to Bullrings very own Fashion show hosted by the beautiful Sam & Billie Faiers on the Saturday only, They were both styling Oasis and I was in love with the suit Sam was wearing. 

The hair and make up was superb and all done magnificently by Urban Decay and Umberto Giannini, the fashion show itself was consisted of the on trend styles being metalics, pastels, reds, folk and faux fur, I love the faux fur! I have to be honest it is the only fashion show I have been to and not cringed at the clothes, I am no fashion expert as you can probably already tell but those dresses/outfits that are thousands of pounds look awful and all I am thinking is who goes out in that? But this show I pretty much loved it all, there was a few I didn't but we can't love it all. I loved that it had a great price range to from the stores in the Bullring being Oasis, Topshop, River Island, Karen Millen, Miss Selfridges, Selfridges and Topman. It has definitely made my birthday and Christmas wishlist bigger and my bank balance probably crying. Thank you Bullring and Emma for the fantastic show and all the stylish looks, I hope they have these in maternity sizes!

Hello lovelies, for my final post of the fave blog Friday series I thought I would share with you just some of the lovely bloggers I have come across on my blogging journey and left places on my heart. STRANGENESS & CHARM

Hayley, my blogger baby even if she is older than me aha! Always there for her as she is for me. I was wrong about Hayley to start with well kinda aha, just learnt her personality as a whole and underneath she is the kindest, honest friend I have ever met and I am so lucky to have her in my life now me Hayley and Chloe are the muffkateers and Sophie included are my little bitches. Also Hayley's blog is pretty awesome too she covers lifestyle, fashion, beauty and extras I am always reading her new posts. xxx

UNWRITTEN HOLLYWOOD

Chloe, love this sassy girl not only does she rock amazing fashion posts she is the loveliest girl and always makes me smile when I'm with her. We literally have the same taste with most fashion pieces, the other week we bought the same coat! We also had a little moment over that coat I got from H&M but I said she can borrow it anytime aha ;). If your a fashonista you will love Chloe's blog with added beauty and lifestyle. xxx

THE OTHER VW

Vanessa, Beautiful Vanessa inside out, the kindest loveliest person I have ever met. She is a make up artist so you can imagine her beauty collection, the only thing I dislike about this girl is she makes my bank balance cry along with Aimee!! Aha, these two are the worst people to take shopping unless your loaded hehe. She has a lovely blog with great beauty reviews and has also started up a youtube channel which I am loving!

BLONDE OF CARBS

Jessica, One of the first ladies I spoke to on Twitter and not been lucky enough to meet this little beaut yet, she makes my heart melt, she can make me smile in seconds with her kind words and has a heart of an angel. The sweetest most beautiful girl you wish to meet (online) if you're ever feeling down she always finds time to help you and make you feel better in seconds she is also so kind to comment on all of my posts, she's my little sweetheart and I love her blog! Go check out her gorgeous fashion posts and be jel over her awesome body!

SHE & LIFE

Ella, This lady is one talented woman and the best multitasker I am sure! She has a lovely little family yet manages to be a fab mummy, blog owner and blog designer and probably a lot more. She designed my blog and my layout previously I love all of her work, go check out her portfolio the best £25 I have ever spent. He blog is beautiful, stunning photo's an online diary of her life and you feel with every post you get to know her a little bit more she shares her ups and downs which I adore it really captures her personality and I love getting lost in her words.

SUGARFIXX BEAUTY

Kate, Kate is so nice, very easy to approach on Twitter and her blog is fab asnwell as her youtube channel, I can not stop watching her videos one of my faves at the moment, she has took to it so well and looks like a complete natural, I need some tips for starting out my channel more. She's gorgeous and had died her hair probably the same amount as I have, I love catching up with her most recent posts and drooling over her many hauls! This girl knows how to shop, who can blame her? All us bloggers get the spending bug from time to time, its an addiction.

TATTOOED TEALADY

Sophia, I love Sophia's blog, I have been reading this for a very long time she does the best reviews, very informative and gives you a great low down with also tips and hints and did a fabulous skin care collab a while back with everyone's skin type to adapt to all her readers which I thought was so fab. I have only spoken to Sophia a handful of times on Twitter but would be intriguing to meet this lady in the flesh and share a chat over a nice cuppa!

TEA PARTY BEAUTY

Hayley, This lady is very nice and very easy to talk to we have had a little run in but glad we are all sorted, I think we just have a very similar mind, I blog about something and she has already done something similar, I hate more than ever copy cats and being made to look like one did upset me but with most bloggers we are going to have similar posts I mean how many of us are there?! But Hayley has a great blog with posts that make you laugh out loud as well as sharing the newest beauty release or a review of her favorite. Go check out her dating posts you will be laughing your head off.

TEASE FLUTTER POUT

Laura, Beautiful Laura, we haven't spoke much on Twitter like we used to but she is a lovely girl with sass and her posts are fab. She does great reviews and makes me want to buy the product once she has described it it so well and perfect swatches.

MISS MAKEUP MAGPIE

Gemma, How stunning is her blog title? I love this lady, she was also one of the first people I spoke to on Twitter, with a massive follower account I was expecting her to be so friendly and welcoming to me and really helped me out. With most bloggers with a lot of follwers I do find a lot of them quite rude and don't give you the time of day at all and make me feel like I'm beneath them but Gemma is the loveliest lady and will make you feel so at ease and help you with anything you need, to an extent of-course she's a busy woman. I don't know how she posts daily and sometimes twice with her job, very proud of her blog and how far she has come shes so lovely too.

POCOCKINS

Sophie, the piece to mine, Hayley's and Chloe's jigsaw. A fellow mummy blogger friend of mine who is lovely and very easy to talk to, always looking fab when we meet up and makes me laugh. Her blog is also great with fab reviews, wishlists and lifestyle posts. 

FIZZY PEACHES

Lyndsay, Although we don't talk as much as we used to on Twitter with us both having busy life's she is the sweetest lady, very easy to talk to lovely inside out and I love catching up with her life through her blog, she also does a mean crochet mug holder! Still yet to buy one from her, perfect now winter is creeping up. I love her lifestyle posts over anything and always makes me want to go and visit the place she has just talked about with some great beauty posts and some crafty work makes me want to make things but I am so impatient for things like that, wish I wasn't.

AIMEE LOVES

Aimee, Love this girl, she is so bubbly, kind, beautiful, lovely and her smile could light up a room. She makes you instantly feel happy with her infectious laughter and could take you around Selfridges blindfolded I am sure always leading you lastly to the Charlotte Tilbury aisle, am I wrong? This girl knows how to shop beauty style and always shares with you what she has been buying her lovely blog, I always read Aimee's newest posts doubtfully knowing though that I will want what she has just bought, it's totally her fault I am now obsessed with Charlotte Tilbury she's like that, but honestly the best girlfriend you could have!

AND BEAUTY OR SOMETHING

Sarah, Another beauty enabler, literally go on now look on her blog and you will see all the amazing beauty posts, keep scrolling and keep getting jel of her amazing collection and drooling over her brows! This girl has some serious brow game, they always look amazing! Still yet to find out that secret, I was lucky enough to meet Sarah at a blogger meet I organised a while back and it was an absolute pleasure and need to see her again!

Erin, Gorgeous Erin love chatting to Erin on Twitter she always makes me laugh and I am usually following her thread on there with other bloggers and giggling away and having to join in on the banter. This girl blogs a bit about everything, healthy tips , beauty fashion and more love reading her most current posts. 

LEMONAID LIES

Kenzie, I absolutely adore Kenzie's blog, her photos are stunning and so pretty and her blog content to go with it is match made in heaven. I love relaxing and flicking on to her blog, eve better when I haven't been on in a while and I can have a good read through all her current posts with a brew, as well as Kenzies blog she is such a lovely girl to talk to on Twitter, shes so sweet and a stunning girly. 

AMY CONNOLLY

Amy, Also love this chick, have been friends with this girl for a while on Twitter and we have similarities and both fighters! We have come out the other side and making the most of our lives, she is such a beautiful girl and really hopes she realises this, she is a strong lady and can fight the world with her amazing strength and creativity which is infused in her blog. She does some fab OOTD's with her hot bod, beauty reviews, lifestyle posts and challenges along the way, very easy to read and a fave of mine.

Clare, I met Clare at a meet up I organised a while back and she took a bit to come out of her shell but she is a very lovely lady, again another beauty enabler with a humungous Mac lipstick collection I am very jealous over. Her blog is very easy to read with great photos, there is usually a haul on there somewhere to drool over with awesome reviews and lifestyle posts.

My little Alexandra, She so beautiful and can just imagine her being the sweetest little thing in the flesh, I need to meet up with this gurl! She is so nice on Twitter and always cheers me up when I'm having a crappy day or just makes me laugh on a normal day. Her blog has a great mix of beauty, fashion and lifestyle with her personality thrown into it all, I am always reading Alexandra's blog and who doesn't love cats and vodka?!

Amie, Amie Scott girls and boys one hot blogger with an awesome bod and even better fashion sense, she is always looking great on the daily and have known this girl fo time! She is hilarious, kind, lovely, sociable, bubbly, out going and an all rounder great friend to have. Aimie has not been blogging for a long time but seems to already have the swing of it and her followers are growing massively, obviously as she has took to it like a duck to water and her amazing outfit posts, I need her to take my ass to the gym! Product I loved this month:

It was very hard to choose a product I loved, I would have probably went with my shampoo, but instead I will go with my new microfiber hair towel! I think it's a great buy, and it costs about $5 rounded up. It's super absorbent and dries most of your hair. It's good for adults and kids, which I think is a great deal. It's also machine washable and the size is "one fits all".

Magazine Freebies September Issues

Hello lovelies, I went down town today to pick up all my magazines for the monthly freebies post and was alarmed to see only 2 magazines with freebies this month! Beauty freebies anyway, a couple had free mags with them but thought that would be pointless. Unless I have missed anything please let me know! Although Glamour didn't have a freebie I bought it anyway as I buy it monthly without fail I should just get a subscription out to be honest.
Anyway here's the magazines that did have freebies this month.

Elle - September Issue £4.00

Katy Perry is looking gorgeous in this months issue, this months Elle magazine has an amazing freebie, a bumble and bumble item! I have always wanted to try there brand but it's so expensive. It's a thickening hair spray you can apply this to wet or dry hair, apply it to wet hair for the ultimate blow dry or dry hair for that fantastic holding power. I haven't tried it yet but it looks promising. Its not got such a nasty smell as most hair sprays either so that's a bonus.

As well as the fab hair spray you get a free little accessories catalouge filled with new season buys and fashion statements. Amongst a couple of perfume pages which I love. Defiantly worth £4.00 this month, very impressed with the freebies. 

Company - September Issue £2.50

Doesn't Annasophia look fierce on the front cover and so grown up! Love the cute little bralet, really wish I could pull them of. I love the bright cover it really draws you in. This months magazine is a special issue, Ibiza fashion, beauty and clubbing careers inside. As well as there freebie this month. 

A Companys own liquid and pencil eyeliner, with magazine brands make up they usually look cheap and nasty but this looks very sophisticated in its silver and black packaging and both products look really nice. I'm looking forward to giving them a whirl. I am a massive liquid eyeliner fan for my eyelid but the eyeliner in this looks very intriguing. A very fine pencil which looks like it would be easy enough to glide over your eyelid with no fuss, so I will be testing this out for sure. Also inside is a little Missguided catalouge full of there fashion items with a lovely 10% offer. For £2.50 you can't really go wrong with that, a lovely magazine that I have also loved getting monthly with out fail full of up to date fashionistas and beauty related subjects. The covers are always bright and inviting they look beautiful popped on top of dressing tables, book shelves etc I really like this magazine.

Can you see the detailing of the eyeliner wands? They look pretty good for £2.50 right.

I was in two minds whether to do this post as I only found two freebies but thought I would share them with you all non the less in case you fancied either. Picking Elle up purely for the bumble and bumble hair spray is a steal. You can't fault that for £4.00 as it is worth £7.50 on its own. I hope you enjoyed this post even if it was minimal I love my freebies this month.

FRIDAYS FAVORITE BLOG OF THE WEEK #3

Kris - Fashion Journalism Student, Blogger, Youtuber & Professional unicorn rider.

Hello lovelies, another installment of my favorite blog of the week, I have loved Kris's blog for a while now but fell in love again with it recently. Her layout and pictures are so clean and professional looking which makes it very easy on the eye and her content is fabulous. She makes me look forward to things such as the the Topshop beauty collection coming soon featured here. I love how she puts in pro's and cons so great if you had a product in mind and find some little facts about them and see if there worth purchasing yourself. As well as beauty she has some great lifestyle and fashion posts and even fitness thrown into the mix too! Starting with her Fitness Fridays which is great if you need some motivation like myself. She could be a model with her amazing figure and fashion knowledge, in some of her lifestyle posts she even includes little restaurant reviews which is great if it is a well known branch or if you live in the same city, me and my partner are always on the look out for great restaurants. I think Kris deserves way more followers, she blogs so well so effortlessly she makes it look so easy, I love a night time read catching up on her most recent posts whilst I'm drinking my tea and loving her Youtube video's too go check them out!

Aimee - Aimee loves

This girl, Aimee is the most loveliest blogger I have come across, especially after meeting her in the flesh! She is beautiful inside out with the most bubbliest, kind warm natured aura, I was so lucky to meet her at my blogger meet up not long ago and I already want to be one of her best friends, she is the most easiest person to talk to and leaves no awkward silences. She loves her beauty bits and has a huge collection I would love to raid her stash. You need to check out her blog and follow her on Twitter, you wont regret it, she blogs about beauty mainly and makes you want to purchase everything, her photos are lovely as-well as her fab content. 

Lottie - Huckleberry Friend

Thanks to Lottie for RT'ing my tweet helping to share the love for blogs under 200 followers I wouldn't have found her lovely blog. Her pictures are flawless and her content is fantastic. She has a whole mixture of lifestyle, fashion, beauty posts and even some recipes to try out, each post gets me gripped and I have just started reading her blog and want to read every one of her posts already! 

Jenny - Jnylng

As a fellow nail polish lover, I am loving Jenny's midweek manicures she has some great nail art pictures and tips for hair and beauty. Her blog posts are very detailed and full of great content, I love her lifestyle posts too.

Amy - Amy Gatenby

A very clean layout and easy to read blog posts with pretty pictures, Amy has very detailed blog posts that get you gripped, I followed as soon as a I read a couple of posts and love everything she does post whether it be lifestyle or beauty. 

Hannah - That Girl From Norfolk

Hannah's layout did catch my eye, its bright and colorful and really grabs your attention, he has some fabulous posts with great wishlists making me want everything on the list too. Her blog is mainly lifestyle and fashion but very interesting and easily readable.

I thought it was nice to share with you all blogs that don't get noticed that much, I tweeted for people who had under 200 followers to RT so I could have a read through there blogs and get them noticed a bit more, I hope this helps in some sort of way and please do check them out, we all start of at the bottom and although followers are not important as we blog because we love to it's nice to get more readers and follow blogs that we would enjoy reading, I love finding new blogs and find some deserve way more readers than they have so here is me just showing a bit of blogger love.
