#Vintsetfest in Birmingham at the Custard Factory

Hello lovelies, I was lucky enough to get an invite to #Vintsetfest with The Vintage set & Tiger Bam Comms which was for fashion and beauty bloggers and a few other people. My friend Talia was the one who mentioned it to me and had to get in on it all so glad I did!

Me, Talia and our friend Jess got up yesterday morning very excited for our day ahead, as the event wasn't starting till 6 we thought we would have the day in Birmingham anyway, chance to catch up, have a bite to eat and some cheeky shopping. So that we did, as soon as we got into Birmingham we headed straight to Nando's and met up with another blogger Ally and she looked unique ans stunning as always in the most beautiful parrot skirt with complimentary parrot earrings, she could literally dress up a bin bag and make it look good! But anyway we all enjoyed a Nando's then headed of to do a bit of shopping. I will show you what I got from Birmingham in another post, but after our shop we stopped for a quick Starbucks and made our way to The Custard Factory, somewhere which I have never sadly encountered before! What a shame as it so beautiful, the colourful buildings, the vintage shops in such a lovely little area. It felt like a friendly neighborhood of shops. Then we got to our destination, the #vintsetfest

We got there and was greeted with a drink and a warm welcoming smile, sadly the 'hook the duck' was cancelled as the ducks decided to roam in the pool but we got to do a pot luck dip in a box to reveal a treat! I picked up a W7 red lipstick! Then went inside to see the array of beautiful stands from clothes to hand craft jewelry, make up artists, hair stylists, nail artists, macadamia hair care, re think re make re love which is an up cycling workshop which I thought was amazing! They make old things that you've tossed aside into something beautiful. I even made myself a bracelet out of unwanted bits of fabric and turned it into something beautiful and personal to me with my love of lace and floral print.
There was bales of hay stacked in rows for people to sit at along with rustic looking picnic tables scattered with an array of old school sweet favorites so you could all join together and watch the live band too being the New Killer Shoes along with a great Q&A panel with industry experts. There was also some styling challenges and swap rails! Everyone was so friendly I wish I just stepped out my comfort zone more and spoke to every body, everyone looked amazing in there own styles even hand made outfits. It really was an amazing event. Here are some pictures, sadly my phone died half way through the event so I apolagize for not getting more pictures than I really wanted! But you will get the jist of the event :)

Isn't it just beautiful? Also had to take advantage of the free hair style and make up! Well would be rude not to wouldn't it, nothing comes for free these days. My home made bracelet too I adore!

Although I took advantage of the freebies I did purchase some things too, I wanted everything but obviously my money doesn't grow on trees, everything was reasonably priced though great prices! The man at the Macadamia hair care stand was so good at explaining the products he really enticed me in and I wanted to buy all his products but I didn't I behaved and came away with a travel set full of macadamia goodies! I got a gorgeous ring from a gorgeous girl who makes her own jewlery her range is called Harri styles she is an array of beautiful things from necklaces to rings to bling phone cases you will have to check her out! Then after getting my hair styled for free The depot hair had there own little stand with there Bed Head products selling for cheap so brought myself a conditioner that volumizes! So excited to try that out plus it smells amazing and that was all I brought as our goodie bags were fatastic!

Goodie Bags!!

I apologize again for the picture format I don't know what's wrong with this laptop but I have tried numerous amounts of times flipping the picture around and it's having non of it! So I am sorry but look at the fab stuff we got!

10 Faves under a tenner!

Hello lovelies, hows the humidity treating you if your living in the UK? I bet everyone's bored of the weather updates but it's just surreal for us Brits to have such decent weather, I for one hate it but I bet most people are loving it. I thought I would share with you today some of my favorite beauty items under just £10.

Just cutting it fine under the ten pound mark at £9.99 we have the,
Sleek Blush Palette By 3 in Lace, a mix of matte, shimmer and satin shades being from left to right; Crochet, Guipure and Chantilly. Such a versatile palette with plenty of choice. What mood your in for a bit of shimmer or matte? Whatever finish floats your boat. £10 for three blushes is a good deal. These palettes come in a range of colours but I loved all the shades in here for my skin tone. This is great for your handbag to pick and choose which colour you fancy on your cheeks on different days. You can find these in Superdrug, that's where I picked this baby from.

Soap&Glory - Sugar Crush Body Scrub

300ml tub for £8.00 which I picked up in Boots, I love love love this stuff, I love most products from Soap&Glory but I am a lover of sweet scents. I know there not to everyone's taste but I adore them. I particularly like this product so much not from the sweet scented notes of lime oil, almond oil and brown sugar but it's a must have if your a fake tanner like myself! This bad boy strips all your nasty fake tan mishaps up in no time. Gets rid of your scaly mess and makes your body lovely and smooth and smells like a lime dream. If you don't want to buy it but love sweet scents please go to boots and smell it!

Rimmel - 60 seconds

I love rimmel polishes the best out of all my nail collection and believe me I have a lot to choose from, I don't know what it is about them but there just the best for me! Long enough lasting, quick application with there great wand and quick dry time. I'm still yet to try Rimmel Salon Pro varnishes but I'm sure I'll love them as much as I do there other finishes. These polishes are only £3.69 in Boots and usually have some sort of offer on so very cheap but very good! These aren't particularly two of my favourite shades but I do really like them from left to right; Too cool to tango & Rose Libertine. If your impatient like me for dry time and like a lovely finish why not check out a bargain?

Maybelline - Colour tattoo 24hr eye shadow

In the summer I have been reaching for cream shadows a lot as there so practical and easy if your in a rush or simply can't be bothered, this heat is a killer to spend a good 15 minutes perfecting your eyes so I've been loving this. It's also good as a base to keep your eye shadow in place for the day and night. Perfect staying power I wouldn't say 24hr's but the sun has been melting my face. This colour tattoo eye shadow has been my fave as I love my bronzes, creams and browns etc. This is in the shade On and On Bronze at £4.99 which i got from Superdrug . If you would like a cheaper alternative though I have found this to be near enough the same colour, Seventeen Wild Metalic Cream eye shadow in Bronze.

Lush - Mask of magnaminty

This is my favorite face mask at the moment, as when I'm having a bad break out day this helps loads. I love the peppermint smell although it is quite strong. It tingles a little when you apply it all over your face but I quite like that as you know its working it's magic! Once I have washed this all of my face with warm water my skin feels immediately refreshed and clean and slowly works on my nasty break outs. Also think this mask is great for your money as you buy a face mask from there for just under a fiver and it ends up getting wasted as you can only use them in a couple of weeks but this lasts longer. This is £4.95 for a 125g pot but lasts you a few months rather than weeks so well worth the money and it lasts as you only need a tiny amount. The peppermint is added also to stimulate the blood vessels in your skin to give it a bit of a glow with all other wonderful ingredients inside to clean your skin and make it feel soft, good for any skin type!

L'oreal Elvive - Full Restore 5 Replenishing Masque

This mask is simply amazing, honestly! Once I used this for just the first time my hair felt like it hadn't been died a million times and I'd just had a fresh hair cut, you know that 'new' feeling. It's also now only £1.50 at the minute at Asda! Quick go and pick it up now, what you waiting for? The 5 stands for these five steps, 1.Strength, 2. Density, 3. Vitality, 4. Shine, 5. Silkiness. It really is amazing and I've come across a lot of different hair masks. I leave this mask on my hair whilst I'm doing my face routine in the shower, shaving and washing my body all over then I wash it out and it just makes my hair feel darn amazing.

Rimmel - Lasting Finish 25 hour foundation

This is my favorite foundation by far and a steal for £6.99 at the minute from Boots. If you like medium to full coverage I'm sure you would love it too. It drys matte and I'm usually weary about matte with having dry patches but it doesn't cling at all. Quite a flawless looking foundation with the right powder on top and blended well. Comes in a great array of shades too to compliment everyone's skin tone. It defiantly has good staying power, never left it on longer than 25 hours but lasts from day to night so perfect for those last minute after work drinks! It also leaves your skin feeling hydrated through out the day.

Maybelline Colour sensational Vivid lipstick

These lipsticks are fantastic, also perfect for the summer as when your lipstick is fading these stain your lips, but in a good way as you don't have to keep re applying your lipstick whilst your out. This colour is a personal fave and come out of my comfort zone going for this bright colour as I personally usually always play it safe. But sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and try something new, this is the shade I got it in 'Shocking Coral' I would say its more a pink then coral but has coral undertones. This lasts me a good few hours even have to wipe over my lips with some Bioderma to make sure every last bit is of. Gorgeous bright colour to give your lips a lovely splash of colour. I shall be getting some more of these in more colours as they have a vast amount of shades not like I don't have enough lipsticks. These retail at £7.19 in Boots, is it just me or are drug store lipsticks, well all round make up in fact creeping up there prices more and more? Sooner rather than later most people will probably just end up buying just high street as drug store will only be a couple quid cheaper.

Lush - Lip Scrub in Bubblegum

Before I apply a nice bright lipstick or any lipstick especially if there matte I love using this lip scrub as you don't want nasty chapped lips under a beautiful colour. This stuff is awesome, to get more benefit out of it I rub this all over my lips and use an old toothbrush to rub softly over my lips and my lips just feel so soft afterwards. I do this every night before I put on my night time moisturizer to work all through the night under a lip balm too it works a treat. If you want lips as soft as a baby's bum I would really recommend you checking this product out. Plus it smells and tastes amazing, you don't have to use my toothbrush trick you can simply rub on your lips then lick away as its got sugar inside. Yummy try not eating it all though don't forget to look after your purdy lips. You can pick these up in Lush for £5.25 it does last you a long time so worth the price.

Ebay dotting tools

If you love experimenting with your nails as much as I do i recommend you type in dotting tools in Ebay and get some of these bad boys! There about £2 and have different sized bottoms depending on how big you want your polka dot on your nails or petal size, whatever detail your going for I have been using these quite a bit and £2 is an absolute steal. They come in all sorts of designs and colours I wasn't really looking for a particualar design as such I just couldn't wait to try them out and I love them. I love doing leopard print, polka dots and floral with these tools they fit the job perfectly.

Those were my current 10 favorite beauty products under £10, hope you liked this post,

July's Summery Glossy Box

Hello lovelies, enjoying your weekend? Sadly it's nearly over but I hope everyone has a lovely relaxing Sunday before the rush rush Monday creeps around the corner.

Here is what I got inside my July's Glossy Box.

The boxes just keep getting better by the month in my eyes. Last year I would pray it wouldn't be another bad box but so glad I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back to them as now every month I can't wait to get my box! I run to the door all excited. I love a package (that sounds so wrong).

The packaging of this months glossy box was beautiful! A gorgeous blue with star fish and coral reef on the top and side. An under the sea sort of theme to the box. Summer, Sea and the beach how lovely. The products all fit in with the theme too pretty much.

Look how gorgeous the attention to detail is, for some stupid reason this picture wont turn around? I have tried everything but you get the jist of it. I love the box so much though just wondering what i could store in here?

Here's a close up of the products I received.

Anatomicals - Spray misty for me facial spritz

A hydrating facial mist, what a wonderful product to get in this heat! This smells divine, it smells like the beach and fresh you can strongly smell the lavender with the undertones of peppermint. All good ingredients for your skin, any skin type. Can be used to spray all over your face after you have cleansed or even over your make up to set it into place or just to refresh. I have been loving this in the hot weather also not a bad price tag for a 100ml bottle at £6. I have used quite a bit of the product though and still almost a full bottle left so I'm thinking this will last me through the summer defiantly! Also love the lilac packaging.

Coola Organic Suncare Collection - Mineral Face SPF 20 Unscented

Another must have in this heat! A lovely moisturizer but also protectant from the sun, it's not sticky which is a plus I always find sun creams sticky once you've applied them but this isn't at all. Its lovely, glides over your face like a dream and isn't scented so no nasty scents aroming. I actually love the smell of sun cream but not a big deal it doesn't smell of it, unscented is probably best on your face. You have SPF protection 30 minutes after your application then if you've been swimming or sweating a lot they recommend you re apply every 2 hours. As much as it being a lovely product I don't think a 7ml bottle is enough to judge it's full potential so I don't think I will be repurchasing this bad boy at a hefty £29.99 for a 50 ml bottle. I know you need these things in the hot weather but I try my best not to stay out too much in the heat anyway being so pale and burning so I defiantly wouldn't repurchase sorry Coola!

Alterna Haircare - Bamboo Style Boho Waves Tousled Texture Mist

I love the cute little bottle we received just the right size to pop in your handbag on the go or a travel size for when your away, this would be a lovely product to take to a beach vacation or any where abroad as it seems a no fuss product you just need to spray on damp hair or dry from your roots to the ends and shape with your fingers for a tousled 'boho' style. I love a natural messy hair day and this looks like my sort of product. I'm still yet to try it out as I have been having a hair make over recently, I've gone from dark brown to blonde! A big change but I'm slowly warming to it but I shall be looking forward to using this product. Be good also I think if you've just gone for a swim to give a bit of texture to your damp locks. It smells gorgeous and I think this will last me a while as you only need a couple of sprays. This retails at £23.00 for a 125ml bottle.

Essie - Sleek sticks

I was excited to receive this product from the Essie range as I've always wanted to try them out. I wouldn't say I was a massive fan of croc but I'll defiantly work with it, maybe pop them on my toes to spruce them up a little. They come in array of colours and designs so I shall see how I get on with these before I repurchase a different design. For one set they retail at £9.99 I have seen these floating around in Boots but you could probably find them in most drug stores. If not the Essie website. I shall pop a picture of these once I've attempted to stick them on my tootsies with a little tutorial.

Then Lastly,

Sleek Make Up - Pout Paint

I think these look very similar to the Lip tars but I cant tell you the different consitency's or anything as I haven't tried any lip tars yet but they do look a little similar. I was so glad i received these colours after seeing some people get blue! But the good thing about these is that you can mix them together to make your own colour up! How cool is that? I see why they are called pout 'paint'. I don't think I would want to mix the colours as I am pretty happy with the gorgeous pink/nude colours I have! But i shall try them out. The fuchsia like pink pout paint is called '154 Mauve Over'  and the nude colour is called '161 Minx' it is a nude with a hint of coral I think. They are thick and creamy in texture but glide smoothly over your lips and dry to a satin finish. They are supposedly meant to last for hours I shall put them to the test and keep you informed. It has a weird scent to it which I can't really put my finger on but its not too bad of a scent. These retail at £4.99 I am really curious to trying out the blue mixing it with another colour and the bright silver! I'd love to read a review of someone who did get those shades.

Over all I am very impressed with my box and there isn't one thing in there which I won't use! So a very god box indeed. Thank you very much Glossy Box. If you don't usually subscribe monthly with glossy box I would really recommend this box to everyone just for all the amazing products you get for the summer all your essentials. It's only £10 a month but if you just want this box subscribe to this months then cancel straight away but I have loved every box so far this year so I am a dedicated glossy box subscriber :)

Have you received this box yet or will be getting one? What products did you love out your box?
