Weekend In London / Company Blogging Forum

Hello lovelies,  I had an amazing weekend, hope you all did too!
First things first, I said to my boyfriend; 'Babe there is this blogging forum in London next week on a Monday'. His reaction wasn't the best as he is self employed it would mean having to have a day of work but with a couple of arm twists i won him round! He is good to me bless him, which also meant we could visit his aunty in St.Albans in the London area. Free accommodation, shopping in London and Company magazines blogging forum, what's not to love right? So that's what we did! We packed our bags Friday night and left for St.Albans early Saturday morning it's a good two hour drive from where we live and I'm not the best travelling in cars but i pulled through, probably too excited to care about travel sickness.

We got to St.Albans finally and had a lovely BBQ with Dan's family and had a good catch up, watched TV and all that jazz and had an early night. We woke up in the morning had a gorgeous breaky and of we popped on the train to London to go shopping crazy! We wanted to go Camden first as we love it there, it's so quirky, full of fascinating styles and personality's  with an array of different stalls/markets. I love all the random different things they sell. Also London do a great deal on there travel tickets where you can go on the Tube wherever you like all day for just £16.50 great if you want to explore everywhere!

In Camden we stopped for a bite to eat, and they have all styles of foods in a row from Chinese, Thai, English, Indian, Mexican and more! They are like £4 for a meal, bargain's galore. I also love the little ped bike seats they have for you to sit on so quirky.

Then in Camden i got a couple of items but will not post these here as I will be doing some reviews soon but a little teaser is one is from Read-The-Label
Then I went round with Dan has he did his spot of shopping in Oxford street before it was getting on to meet my friend from London Euston. (By this time I'm getting really excited)

It's Company Magazine Blogging Forum time!!

I met up with my friend at London Euston kissed my boyfriend and Oscar good bye as he was picking me up from St.Albans station later then of we popped to Kings Cross college. Luckily it wasn't far from the station we last got of of. As we had an hour to spare I thought why not have a quick cheeky Starbucks? I love my coffee.

We was then ready to hit the forum, I was so excited but so anxious at the same time meeting all these new people and being in such a crowded place but I was fine once I settled in there plus I had my friend by my side.

Annoyingly for me and my friend us being the first there we didn't realise there was a que to sign in as we didn't realise we had to go right at the back, silly us! But we didn't mind too much as we were a few moments away from a lovely glass of free bubbly, a talk with an expert panel, a q&a session and an awesome goody bag awaiting us. There was so many people there.

Everyone looked amazing in there own unique styles, some even got chosen to be on the Company magazine website, one being my friends friend! Her blog is Pippa Says it's currently being refurbished but if you love fashion and music related things you will love her blog. It was lovely to meet her and her friend Alexandra at the event.

As we was standing around in the guys campus two beautiful girls approached us with these big lollipops! A new candy range from Made In Chelsea's Jamie Laing. It was a yummy strawberry lollipop which i have already devoured! Yummy, can't go wrong with a big pink lolly. Still a child at heart. If you would like to know more about the candy kittens range here is there website; Candy Kittens as they not only do candy they do clothing, accessories  stationery and more!

Like I said big kid at heart haha, anyway after sipping lovely free bubbly which was actually really nice it was time to go and hear what the panel had to say.

We had a great panel...

Victoria White - Editor of the Company Magazine (Who I was so eager to see)
Krista Madden - Founder of Hand picked media and blogger.
Susie Bubble - Fashion blogger
Sally - PR and Social media manager for OhMyLoveLondon
Rhiannon Ashlee - A lovely blogger and youtuber
& a lovely lady of a finder from boohoo.

All the lovely panel had lots of information for us, great tips and advice and filled us up with useful knowledge. Some new and some we already knew. They also told us a bit about them selves in the q&a session. After all that we all received a fab goodie bag!

We got an amazing goodie bag, my favourite thing being the beautiful Temperley Filofax Clutch bag which is actually worth £45 alone. Also i love the design of the batiste dry shampoo. The packaging is worth keeping itself even if the product is no good. Great healthy snacks, some leave in conditioner, a company magazine, ginger beer which i have never tried! Then some eye make up remover pads! What a lovely night we all had and a bargain for £25. I will defiantly be attending another one in the future. Also look for more bauty blogging events in Birmingham area as much as I love London its quite pricey when you add all the tickets up, shopping, fuel etc. But if needs be i would go to another London event.

Thank you so much Company Mgazine for an amazing event.

Me and my friend Jessica loved every minute.

After the event my lovely boyfriend was waiting for us at St.Albans station ready for th 2 hour drive home well it would have been if he didn't make a wrong turning bless him so we got home for half 12! A long but lovely night, was sad to be home again but nothing like your own big bed!

Thanks again Company for an awesome night.

Hope you enjoyed this post lovely readers be sure not to miss the next event they have coming up. As it's too good to miss out.

What's Inside My Handbag?

Hello again lovelies, I wont be writing on here for a couple of days as I'm going to London to spend some time with my partners family and going to the Company's Blogging Forum which I'm so thrilled about, I really can't wait. I shall defo have a post up about it when I'm back home! So i thought i would do a post on 'what's in my handbag'. I know most people like these posts, nosey people like myself anyway haha. So here's what's inside;

My handbag itself is from a market and only cost me £12.99 i love leopard print!

Overview

My staples!

A lot of things change up in my handbag but these always have to be inside! I have my purse which is a Cath kidston like style from Camden market, a Cath kidston styley note book from home bargains. My passport, pain killers, a sparkly pen and deodorant! (I sweat like a bitch when I'm out and about).

The other bits and bobs.

I don't know if I'm strange but i like a pair of socks on me in case I'm wearing shoes without and i go into someone's house i like to wear socks if i take my shoes of if i go into anybody else's home god only knows why but i just do?! Also what if your going unexpectedly bowling haha. An actual Cath kidston pocket mirror, chewing gum, bobbles, bobby pins, mini hairbrush, lip balms, lip stain, sunglasses, mini nail files, a torch, a spare dummy because you never know Oscar has a tendency of playing with his and loosing it, a perfume sample, a packet of face wipes just mainly for make up swatches and lastly some hand cream from the body shop.

What's inside my makeup bag inside my bag...

Latest in Beauty Samples

Hello lovelies, just another quick little post for you today.
It is so muggy where i am in the UK i hate muggy weather, just be hot or cold please haha. Anyway swaying away from the post again, as you know me by now if your have read my post's you will know i love my samples! I love trying out new things so seen this company from an email and thought i would try them out...

Latest In Beauty

The link above will get you three samples for just £1.50 from a text of your mobile phone. Which you can get every once a month! I recieved...

Melvita - Ultra nourishing cream for very dry and delicate skin
I am looking forward to testing this out as it says on the little packet 'At the end of the day, the skin is lastingly nourished; 92%' So we shall see.

Amie - Spring clean cooling clay mask
I love face masks so another thing i'm looking forward too trying out, according to the packaging it gives you clearer, deeply cleansed skin. It has harmonising natural actives including organic peppermint, french white clay and lime butter. Over 94% natural ingredients.

Then in the cute little brown envelopes i received

Yes Nurse - Protect Your Lovely Hands (Hand Cream)
Two cute little samples of a 'magic' hand cream. It is called a magic sample because as you know when you get samples yo don't really get enough to last a while to truly judge it so this is supposed to work miracles from just one sachet so i'll soon tell you if this is true.

Overall though for £1.50 you can't really go wrong to test out 3 different products i bet the face mask is more than £1.5o. I shall do a mini review of all products once i have tested them out for you lovelies though.

Also as well as signing up for 3 little samples you can buy luxury samples on there website for less before you splurge on the bigger size.

Hope this helped you all in some way.

Birmingham shopping haul.

Hello again lovelies,
On Saturday i was having a really low day and thought the only thing that is going to cheer me up is a shopping trip! You can't beat a bit of retail therapy right? It was a stressfulish time though as i took my 9 month old son and prams and birmingham don't really get on, as the people are quite rude and just stand around and don't move when you continuously say 'excuse me' . So i don't think i will be taking a pram ever again! I didn't even attempt primark. Anyway moaning aside we did have a nice day, i say we, he loved looking at everyone he is so inquisitive and he didn't moan at all bless him. Unlike most men...

So here is an over all view of what i got and i shall show you what i got in each shop.

I do apologise if the picture's aren't great today as i was trying to hold back a puppy whilst taking these.

Firstly i shall share with you all what i got in Next.

Well as i brought Oscar with me thought it was only fair to treat him to some new clothes. I love Next best for baby's clothes there such good quality. Can be abit pricey if your buying in bulk though. I do also like George at Asda for clothes they're cheap and good enough quality i think. But i do love Next the best. These cute grey chinos with the white shirt with grey details i think will go together wonderfully and i love the blue shirt. Can't wait to put them on him.

Then i popped into Lush my favourite shop by far!

In Lush i purchased,

Phoenix Rising - I love the purple glitz to the bath bomb. It smells amazing! But i love strong smells like cinnamon! Its like the typical Christmassy scent but i could happily smell it all year round.

Melting Marshmallow Moment - This cute pink luxury bath melt is another scent heaven! It smells just like 'Snow Fairy' if your not a fan of that sweet like scent i don't think you would like this bath melt but i personally love a good sweet scent. It is also ment to be great for dry skin with its ingredients of almond oil and cocoa butter. I shall look forward to diving into this sweet bath.

Blackberry Bath Bomb - I personally thought this smelt like parma violets but my friend thought it smelt like clean washing so? I think you would have to give it a whiff for yourself to see what you think but on the Lush website it says it has frankincense inside which i don't really know what that smells like. But this bath bomb is said to wash your worries away which i need at the minute! But to be honest any Lush bath bomb for me leaves me feeling chilled and relaxed but i shall write a little review of it once iv tried it.

The woman in lush also kindly gave me a sample of there R&B leave in moisturiser it has a thick substance but she said i would only need the tiniest bit to rub into the bottoms of my hair so curious to see what this will do for my locks.

I then ventured into Debenhams.

I finally got an Urban Decay palette! The naked palette 2 to be precise. Oh my god i am in love! It is so pigmented i was so tight about spending £36 on this palette as i thought wow thats pricey for some eye shadows. But they are beautiful colours, super pigmented with an array of great shades with different finishes of shimmer, glitter and matte for a range of sultry looks.  I have done swatches from the start of the palette to finish. I even like the names of the shades. My favourite being 'Booty Call' cheeky. I will love putting 'Foxy' 'YDK' and 'Snakebite' together for a gorgeous smoky eye. I shall do a full review of this product in the future with some smoky eye pictures to follow. But just so glad i took the plunge and brought this, i was torn between this and the first naked palette but my friend said it dos contain some colours from the first palette so thought i would get this one who know's i may get the other one in the future once my bank balance is healthy again haha.

Then I stepped into House of Fraser

I have been wanting to try the Origins drink up mask for so long so glad i finally got it but as the Origins drink up mask is £20 alone they had a gift offer on for £28 with the drink up mask and modern friction natures gentle dermabrasion with a cute little facial sponge. I also love the cute box it comes in!

I shall be using both of these tonight once iv finished this post it has killed me not to try them straight away but was having bloggers problems with lighting etc with the poor weather yesterday so patiently waited till i took a half decent photo aren't i good? I shall let you know how i got on with both products.

I then thought i would try out a benefit kit. I was mooching around for a bit thinking what shall i get from benefit as i am quite a virgin to there products i have only ever tried there porefessional sample i got in a magazine and wasn't that excited about it and thought there make up range was pricey. But i have wanted to try out there foundation so thought this was the best kit to get...

The packaging is just beautiful the book like feature to it. As well as wanting to try out the foundation i also wanted to see if the concealer was any good too. So i hope it is 'flawless' all shall be revealed in the near future lovelies. I got it in the shade medium 'sand' as I am really pale like Casper but i like some colour to my skin, i blend it really well though so I don't look like a clown or have an awful foundation line, that's the worst! I have tried the porefessional before so i know what to expect from that and i have always been a bit scared of powder as i have dry skin i never use powder, is that bad? I just put my foundation on, concealer then go straight into bronzer and blush and my make up still stays put but i am determined to try this powder out.

This kit costs £25.50 - How to look the best at everything

Before i went anywhere else it was a milk stop for Oscar so the place we was closest to after House Of Fraser was Pret so as he had his milk thought i would treat myself to a cheeky mocha. It was beautiful especially as i added a chocolate brownie for a snack, yummy.

I then lastly delved into Superdrug before the train home.

I got two things which i really wanted to try out then just two random add ons. The two things that i really wanted to get was the Sally Hansen Insta Dry Anti chip top coat! I have heard so many good reviews so excited to try it out as i am very impatient when it comes to waiting for nails to dry and been looking for something new from my Avon nail dry freeze spray. So shall write a mini review of this too.

Secondly i really wanted a Sleek cheek palette and this is just a gorgeous trio of coraly pink colours, matte and shimmer. So universal for different looks you want to try.

In life the coral looks more orange and a bit scary but i would only apply a thin layer on my face anyway i wouldn't want to sport an Umpa Lumpa. All the colours are gorgeous though the trio palette is called 'Lace' you can mooch through the palettes here.

Here are some swatches

As you can see very pigmented and good value! £10

I then randomly picked up two other products, just a simple nail varnish remover the one where you can pop your finger in and twist away to your hearts content until all the polish has been removed i prefer these to using cotton pads so much easier! The only thing i would recommend is not using it for glitter polishes or really dark polishes or you will find it ruins it.

I then picked up a new loreal formula lipstick/lipstain. Specifically called Glam Shine Stain Splash. I will be honest i was drawn to this product with the pretty packaging and i heard they are a dupe to a YSL product so why not try it right? I got it in the shade 200 'Princess' another name i like for the product. It is a redish coral like colour. Quite sheer but buildable. I also love the heart shaped wand/applicator it comes with, super easy to just swipe over your lips.

So that's my shopping trip over, for now anyway haha! Hope you liked at least one of my products i brought. Or can tell me a bit more about the product before i try them if you have them yourselves?

Monday tomorrow but don't be sad make Monday a good day!
