Broken my topshop lipstick seal, Ohh la la

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a good start to the weekend today I share with you all my first ever top shop lipstick.

Topshop - Ohh la la, £8

This lipstick I had seen on a friends wish list but didn't think anything of it, until we was actually in Topshop searching through all there collection, an array of beautiful colours. But I wanted to play it safe with just a subtle colour my usual favorites being pale coraly pink tones this one fitting right in.

Another thing that drew me into there collection was there lovely sleek packaging. Soft metal casing with a gorgeous black and ivory detail. The only thing is it is probably prone to scratches and marks but that doesn't bother me so much.
The lipstick colour itself is a gorgeous peachy coral with a tint of neon I think, I absolutely love the colour but it can apply quite chalkily, I would recommend a lip balm underneath maybe. It does look super cute with a gloss on top too but if you like the matte look this is a lipstick for you.

I have seen many reviews on the Topshop lipsticks and not all have that chalky like texture when applying so i defiantly would purchase a few more shades in there collection as there collection is full of beautiful colours.

Topshop claims:
Velvet finish lipstick to smooth, moisturise and nourish lips. Apply for fabulous colour and moisturised, matte finish, wear alone or with gloss for a shiny finish.

I wouldn't say they norish your lips or moisturise but I agree with the rest there staying power isn't all that great either so for £8 although that's not too expensive for a lipstick it's not that cheap if your after staying power but if its just purely for a colour there lipsticks have an array of all sorts of shades for everyone.

Hope you liked my lipstick post have any of you got this shade or a topshop lipstick you could recommend to me? I'd love to know in the comments below.

Daisy Nail Art

Hello again lovelies as I don't think I'll be posting tomorrow and the weekend as my fella is back from working away in London I thought I would treat you with two posts tonight, aren't you lucky hay haha.

I have been loving doing DIY arty bits on my nails lately and have continuously forgot to take pictures to share with you on my blog so I thought I would start from now.
Here's a simple pretty nail art for you all that looks lovely for the summer/spring or anytime really but more for the summer as the pretty flowers have sprung.

Sorry about the lighting, I did it in a loft conversion with the sun blaring as didn't want to intoxicate my son down stairs with the nail polish fumes. Its a stinky game.

To achieve this look you shall need the following tools...
Despite the base nail colour you can choose which ever you like

Step 1 - I am sorry I am very impatient and lazy and do not use a base coat so if you do you may want to do this first.

Step 2 - Apply the base colour you would like to set your pretty daisies on, I chose Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Pomegranate.

Step 3 - To make things easier I poured out the yellow polish from Miss Sporty on a flat surface so I had a blob of polish to work with and used my dotting tool to dab it in. You place your dotting tool in the yellow blob and dab it in places you would like it on your nail. I only fancied two on each nail so popped two dots vertically on my nails.

Step 4 - Using a nail art pen I picked up from Primark in white I placed little white dots around the yellow dot to make a daisy effect.

Step 5 - I was feeling a little creative and popped white polka dots on my thumb nail and accent nail, you don't have to do this if you don't want to. Whatever you fancy :)

Step 6 - Then lastly apply a top coat I used Sally Hansen Insta Dry, Anti chip top coat. I have had these nails for a couple of days now and there still going strong with no chips at all and I'm constantly using my hands with a baby, puppy, cleaning, washing up etc so I would defiantly recommend this top coat!

I got my dotting tools from Ebay there about £3.00 for 6 what a bargain! Just type in nail dotting tools in your Ebay search.

Hope you liked my little nail art tutorial be sure to ask for more if you would like this more often. Is there any more nail art lovers out there?

Magazine Freebies September Issues

Hello lovelies, I went down town today to pick up all my magazines for the monthly freebies post and was alarmed to see only 2 magazines with freebies this month! Beauty freebies anyway, a couple had free mags with them but thought that would be pointless. Unless I have missed anything please let me know! Although Glamour didn't have a freebie I bought it anyway as I buy it monthly without fail I should just get a subscription out to be honest.

Anyway here's the magazines that did have freebies this month.

Elle - September Issue £4.00

Katy Perry is looking gorgeous in this months issue, this months Elle magazine has an amazing freebie, a bumble and bumble item! I have always wanted to try there brand but it's so expensive. It's a thickening hair spray you can apply this to wet or dry hair, apply it to wet hair for the ultimate blow dry or dry hair for that fantastic holding power. I haven't tried it yet but it looks promising. Its not got such a nasty smell as most hair sprays either so that's a bonus.
As well as the fab hair spray you get a free little accessories catalouge filled with new season buys and fashion statements. Amongst a couple of perfume pages which I love. Defiantly worth £4.00 this month, very impressed with the freebies.

Company - September Issue £2.50

Doesn't Annasophia look fierce on the front cover and so grown up! Love the cute little bralet, really wish I could pull them of. I love the bright cover it really draws you in. This months magazine is a special issue, Ibiza fashion, beauty and clubbing careers inside. As well as there freebie this month.
A Companys own liquid and pencil eyeliner, with magazine brands make up they usually look cheap and nasty but this looks very sophisticated in its silver and black packaging and both products look really nice. I'm looking forward to giving them a whirl. I am a massive liquid eyeliner fan for my eyelid but the eyeliner in this looks very intriguing. A very fine pencil which looks like it would be easy enough to glide over your eyelid with no fuss, so I will be testing this out for sure. Also inside is a little Missguided catalouge full of there fashion items with a lovely 10% offer. For £2.50 you can't really go wrong with that, a lovely magazine that I have also loved getting monthly with out fail full of up to date fashionistas and beauty related subjects. The covers are always bright and inviting they look beautiful popped on top of dressing tables, book shelves etc I really like this magazine.

Can you see the detailing of the eyeliner wands? They look pretty good for £2.50 right.

I was in two minds whether to do this post as I only found two freebies but thought I would share them with you all non the less in case you fancied either. Picking Elle up purely for the bumble and bumble hair spray is a steal. You can't fault that for £4.00 as it is worth £7.50 on its own. I hope you enjoyed this post even if it was minimal I love my freebies this month.

Bourjois Colour Boost Crayon

Hello lovelies, I'm really impressed with myself doing these posts lately especially when I'm under loads of stress being on my own at home with a baby and over boisterous puppy! My hands go out to all those single mums out there, although my son is incredibly well behaved and so lovely sometimes you do just want the odd half hour to yourself and my puppy is driving me up the wall but I wont rant on, Bourjois...

Bourjois is a brand I've never really delved into to be honest. Not that there products don't seem appealing to me or anything just never tried many products. I have always been more a Rimmel girl but what best way to tempt me into there range? Of-course there 3 for 2 offer in Boots!

I have seen these Lip crayons all over the blogosphere and was umming and arring about getting them as I already have some Revlon ones and MUA ones, 'dupes' to the Clinique ones so to speak not that I would know as my pennies don't stretch that far for a lip crayon. But I thought 3 for 2 why the heck not which also got me to try there chocolate bronzer that I've been eyeing up for ages but will blog about that another day.

So here we have them,

Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayons - So here I have two lip crayons, there both super glossy and shiny amongst application and I'd say the shine itself lasts a good couple of hours and leaves the colour behind which is fine with me. I think the 10 hour claim is the moisture on your lips. It left my lips feeling so lovely and soft. It is a silky like texture on your lips and if your used to the crayon lipstick I think there fab for just gliding over your lips, you could do it blind folded (if you was brave). These smell so gorgeous to a little hint of fruit I smelt they smell good enough to eat! If you have tried the Revlon ones there quite a strong minty scent although I don't mind that I know not a lot of people do but these are very subtle smelling with a hint of fruitiness and there beautiful! It also says it has SPF 15 in I have seen a review of these though from someone in Canada and that bit is covered up on there lip crayon which I think is very strange, so how true that is I really don't know, dodgy.

How good of me not to try them before picturing, how blogger like of me. I picked these up in these shades,

Peach On The Beach - The name itself is so pretty, as well as the bright coral pale pinky colour. A lovely colour, will look fab on the beach in your bikini with a mojito in the other hand or a peach? I love it.

Red Sunrise - A very pinky red but still red, if you know me I'm not a massive fan of reds I just really don't think they suit me but I swatched this in the shop and thought I'll give it a try as I did think it had a tinge of pink to it to tone the redness down. Another gorgeous colour and as you can see in the swatches below they shine! They look gorgeous on the lips but I'm having a really bad break out in the chin area so didn't want to ruin them in a picture by my awful break outs.

If you have tried the Lip crayons before from another brand I would defiantly recommend these to you. I think they beat the other brands as the moisture in them in phenomenal and the colors are beautiful although they only have four different shades at the moment they may expand? I just love the subtle scents to them too so if your not a massive fan of scents to products I think you would get on with these great.

They retail at £7.99 in Boots if you fancy trying them out why not also make the most of there 3 for 2 offer? If your new to there brand its a great way to test them out.

Have you got these or prefer the Lip Crayons in another brand?
Do you think there's much difference in other brands?
I'd love to know lovelies.

NO7 Boots summer offer

Hello lovelies, hurray for the rain going again, although I don't like the weather too hot I don't like the rain either because it means your stuck in the house. Not that that's a bad thing all the time but here is also a post to cheer you up if you love the brand No7.
If you just buy 2 beauty products from the No7 range in Boots you get a free beauty bag full of cosmetics. I just couldn't miss this great offer.

Above is the free beauty bag you get full of goodies worth £30, but to get this all you need to do is buy 2 No7 beauty products and this is what I brought...

I picked up,

No7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour - I picked this nail polish up in the shade cheeky chops, what a gorgeous bright prink. Very rich pigmentation, quick drying effect with a glossy finish. This retails at £6.00 which is quite pricey for a polish that I never normally would purchase but i did and looking forward to its chip factor! The brush is a decent size so looks like it will glide over the nail just nicely.

No7 Natural Blush Tint Powder - I got this in the shade coral flush, it is a gorgeous blusher not strong in pigmentation but just right. Coraly pink notes fluttering on your cheeks would look perfect for day or night on any skin tone I think. It comes in nice compact packaging too so easier enough to slip in to your make up or travel bag. This costs £8.00 in Boots.

Considering all I spent was £14 to get a free gift worth £30 is a pretty good deal to me.

I am happy with my purchases but even happier when I saw what was inside my beauty bag...

Check out the free goodies.

No7 Airbrush Away Primer - A hypo-allergenic primer that magics away signs of ageing noticeable signs straight away it says. It smooths out fine lines, wrinkles, puts uneven skin tones and pores into a soft focus. I am looking forward to trying this with my troubled pores at the minute to see how much of a difference this makes. For 30ml this retails at £19.50 that is very pricey for my price ranges but I shall put it to the test to see if its worth that pricey tag.

No7 Triple Protection Tinted Moisturiser - I recieved the sample in shade Fair Medium, it says it will make you achieve natural skin perfecting colour with this sheer, light diffusing tinted moisturiser that delivers all day hydration and protection. Once I swatched some on my hand I thought it looked too dark then I rubbed it in and it was a perfect match. I love tinted moisturisers in the hot weather as there so light and better for your skin. So I shall be testing this out in the morning. This retails at £11.50 not too bad of a price tag.

A swatch and partially blended.

No7 Extreme Length Waterproof Mascara - The wand on this mascara looks very intriguing! I'm looking forward to if it gives me extra length, I love length in my lashes but I also love thick colour to them too. But I'm glad this doesn't clump at least it says it shouldn't. I never buy waterproof mascara but I do think there practical in the heat and for holidays and this dinky size will be perfect to slip in your beach bag or your make up bag. Shall do a before and after picture for you. This retails at £12.50.

No7 High Shine SPF15 Lipgloss - I am not a huge fan of this lip gloss after trying it quickly on my lips, its one of those sticky lip gloss textures and I really don't like that. But the colour is so pretty it is coral kiss a beautiful coraly pink with quite a sheer finish but enough to give your lips a flush of colour. This will be perfect for my nan she loves her lip glosses and lip sticks so I shall gift this to her. It retails at £8.50 which I think is pricey for a lip gloss especially when its not a nice enough texture unless its just my personal preference.

The swatch looks as if it is very pigmented but once its applied to the lips it is quite sheer.

No7 Stay Perfect Eyeshadow - I got this in the shade lilac shine and that it is, a beautiful lilac shimmer shadow. I never usually wear lilac's but I am stepping out of my neutral comfort zone and testing out new colours on my eyes so I shall look forward to making a look out of this. In a cute compact packaging too that wouldn't take up any room in your make up bag! This retails at £7.00 pigmented and gorgeous colour so not a bad price tag.

After receiving all these goodies I even love the clear beauty bag with flashes of colours it all comes in which I shall be using to store my cosmetics in.

I think its a gorgeous little bag with enough space to fit in lots of your cosmetic goodness!

Has anyone else out there indulged in this offer or thinking about it now?
I really think its a great offer and your summer cosmetic essentials inside even a good beauty starter pack! All you have to do is purchase two beauty products why not treat yourself :)

Latest In Beauty

Hello lovelies, sorry I haven't posted in a while had a lot on and my poor puppy had to have cut open surgery. So been very upset and busy but here I have here a package I received today.

Latest In Beauty - New Mums Pampering Discovery Box
£19.95

I couldn't wait to get this box as soon as I ordered it, full of amazing products to test out and even a lot of full sized products.

Here's a close up of whats inside the box,

Balance Me - Extra care Radiance Face oil

A roll on face oil, to radiate your skin. As all new mums out there or whilst pregnant your skin does get tired and lifeless this aims to plump the life back into you, packed inside softening and conditioning oils. I'm looking forward to try this face oil out as I have been experimenting with face oils lately.

Inika Liquid Mineral Foundation

Inika claims to have an intensive hydrating forumla in there foundation which is packed with vitamins, antioxidents and minerals guaranteed to make your skin look radiant and flawless. This I would love to see, a foundation that is actually good for your skin. I got it in the shade beige and swatched looks pretty good to my skin tone! If it is a tad too light ill just mix it with a darker foundation. Shall put up a review of this once I've tried it for you.

Triology - Advanced formula Rosehip oil antioxidant +

This is not only good for your skin massaged into the skin after cleansing morning and night but it is also good for rubbing away those pesky stretch marks! I have tried everything so shall see if this helps in anyway. This helps to restore and protect, certified organic and 100% natural which is always a bonus to me. Rosapene inside combines the benefits of antioxidants and essential fatty acids.

Dr. Lipp - Original Nipple Balm for Lips

An 100% natural balm for many of things from nipples to lips, cuticles to feet and general dry skin areas. I have always been curious of this product a balm for nipples to work for your lips? Say what! I was quite lucky actually after birth I didn't have much nipple pain but I did only try and breastfeed for a couple of days I just couldn't do it sadly. But if there are mums out there who have used this on there nipples please let me know how it worked for you. It is also odourless, hypoallergenic and ultra effective loved and used by top make up artists.

Amie - Spring Clean Cooling Clay Mask

I have used this mask before and loved it! It really did clean my skin out and deeply cleansed it, as I am having a bad time with my skin at the moment I can't wait to dive into a nice hot bath and pop this on. Hopefully it works just as good as before. It's a refreshing face mask that draws out deep-seated dirt and impurities whilst soaking up access oil and helps prevent blemishes so will be good for any skin type I think.  It leaves your skin feeling refreshed, clear, clean and smooth and also keeps pores clear. Dermatoligically tested, pH balanced. It smells so fresh and floral too, beautiful.

Balm Balm - Rose geranium Lip Balm (and more)

Another balm in the box for not only your lips but for other dry areas on your body, maybe your nipples too? Rose geranium balm balm is a wonderfully emolient, natural, organic balm suitable for all skin types.

Mirenesse - Velvet lip lift moisture shine

A gorgeous creamy lip gloss that is super pigmented, it also plumps your lips a bit the only thing is, it doesn't say what shade it is. But it is a gorgeous baby pink with lilac undertones a lovely lip product to have in your make up bag.

Bellapierre cosmetics mineral make up

This is a gorgeous shimmer 100% mica powder. In the shade 'celebration' a lovely copper colour, suitable for all skin types even most sensitive. Its a vibrant product with lasting power. I'm looking forward to using this on my eye lids as this is my sort of shade.

Philip Kingsley - Elasticizer

An intensive, super moisturising pre-shampoo treatment for all hair types. It adds elasticity, manageability, bounce and shine. To use wet your hair then in sections rub this in, cover with a plastic cap for 10-20 minutes before washing then rinse well. I am really looking forward to using this as I have not long bleached my hair so it's not in the best condition so I'm grateful to try out anything that will benefit my hair.

Jo Hansford - Expert colour care Intensive Masque

An intensive masque to enhance and protect dry coloured hair (woop perfect!) that can be used daily or weekly. After shampooing distribute evenly through towel dried hair, concentrating on the ends. Comb through and leave for up to 5 minutes before rinsing out. Again I'm super excited to try this as I need to get my hair back to tip top condition.

Yardley - Royal English Daisy Hand and Nail Cream

I always thought that Yardley products where for the more mature women with the scent, I'm not a huge fan of there scents at all but this hand cream smells divine. Very fresh and floral - of daisies, it is very nourishing that contains shea butter, cocoa butter, grape seed oil, sweet almond oil, vitamin E and rich in anti-oxidant to help combat the signs of anti ageing. It claims to leave hands soft and smooth whilst conditioning and strengthens nails.

Tea pigs - Lemon & Ginger Tea temple

I have never tried this brand before and I love my hot drinks. It is a biodegradable tea temple which is caffeine free flavoured lemon and ginger. I'm not a huge fan of drinking ginger I only like ginger biscuits haha but I shall give it a try, I might even make it into an iced tea. It has a cute note on the back,
' It may be chilly and grey outside but this natural gingery lemony brew will sweep you away to a British summers day'. They use whole leaf that is situated into a mesh bag which offers room for perfect infusions.

Kenneth Turner - 'Original' Candle

A candle which is scented with a unique blend of honey suckle, oil from the bark of the sweet poplar, lemon and orange oils, clove and cinnamon. It will soothe and revitalize the soul use when in the bath or to calm you. It's not a scent I particularly enjoy but I shall try it whilst I'm relaxing in the bath see if it does calm me down. I shall let you know if it does.

I really do love my little pamper beauty box and for some wonderful products I think just under £20 it really isn't bad at all. Have any of you tried Latest In Beauty boxes before? I'd love to see some reviews. If you are a yummy mummy out there or will be soon I defiantly would recommend this to you for a lovely wind down and pamper and to pick you and your skin up.

If your interested you can find one just HERE :)
