SUMMER WEEK - SUMMER NAIL LOVING
9 July 2014
Hello lovelies, carrying on my little collection of Summer posts I have chosen a few of my favorite nail polish picks for Summer, I do wear all sorts of colours throughout the year but I do get drawn into brights around the Summer time. I have picked quite a few pinks also not intentionally but here we have it. I have put some swatches above for you to see the colour on nail, to hopefully see how they would look on your nails and to see if you like them.
N07 Cheeky Chops - A coraly pink toned nail varnish.
Seventeen Peacock - A shimmery metalic blue/green shade.
Ciate Red hot chili - Orangey red shade.
Models Own Fluro orange - A very obnoxious fluorescent orange,
OPI Elephantastic pink - A pinky coral with warm undertones, quite barbie pink.
Barry M Passion fruit - In the middle of pink and red bright and eye catching.
Barry M Key lime - A bright yellow based lime green.
What are your favorite summer nail polishes?
Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream | Review
27 May 2014
Maybelline Dream pure BB 8-in-1 BB cream £7.99
Hello lovelies, I have been on the hunt for a new BB cream for ages now ready for the warmer months (if we ever get those) and I was in Boots the other day buying some make-up for my mum and seen Maybelline still had a 3 for 2 offer on, I got my mums mascara and lipstick and seen they did this bb cream so I thought I'd give it a go as it was free. I am terribly fussy with bb creams, I like a medium to full coverage and most bb creams make me look so orange even the light shade ones! But this is in fact the shade medium as the lighter one would have washed me out I think, so if like me you are pale this one will be perfect for you I reckon, this one is for oily skin too as I couldn't find the one for combination skin but this has worked great on my skin, I am having no problems with it so far any way plus my skin is more oilier in the summer months. It has an SPF of 15 it claims to -
1. Conceal imperfections.
2. Helps protect against the appereance of blemishes.
3. Oil free - non greasy.
4. Minimise the appearance of pores.
5. Clarifies the skins look.
6. Conceals redness.
7. Hydrates and smoothes.
8. Compliments the skin tone.
I would have to agree with them all, although it doesn't completely hide your spots but what make up product really does? There not miracle workers but I hate my freckles and they hide most of them, it definitely compliments my skin tone, it feels lovely and smooth and minimises the large pores I have on my nose. I am loving this, even more so then my favorite last year the Garnier bb cream. It even gives me a little airbrushed look and I only need to put the tiniest amount of concealer on top, this is great if your in a rush and a little goes a long way with the Real techniques stippling brush. I would say it is medium to full coverage, very buildable and they also do one for dry skin, I'm not actually sure if they do one for combination but this one worked great for me. I would highly recommend this if you like a good coverage bb cream, its light and perfect for the warmer months, I love the packaging too it fits perfectly into my make up bag.
Mummy Monday - Oscars OOTD Stripes & Sandals.
28 April 2014
Hello lovelies, with the weather being a bit warmer and short friendly I needed to get Oscar a cute pair of sandals, we was all out playing in the garden in his new shoes so I thought I'd take the opportunity and take some snaps of him.
Stripes & Sandals
T-SHIRT - NEXT
SHORTS - NEXT
SANDALS - NEXT
I promise this isn't sponsored aha or PR samples, I just love Next clothes and these are perfect for a warm Spring and Summer. The sandals are really easy for him to walk in and look comfy, the shorts have a stretchy waist and I got the t-shirt in a size bigger for extra room and will last him through this year. Oscars wardrobe is seriously double the size of mine and Dan's put together but I can't help but keep buying, everything is just adorable! I never bothered splashing out on shoes I never saw the point in that before he could walk but now he can I'm lethal, he will soon have more shoes than me.
Hope you liked his little OOTD, he's adorable bless him.
NO7 Boots summer offer
6 August 2013
Above is the free beauty bag you get full of goodies worth £30, but to get this all you need to do is buy 2 No7 beauty products and this is what I brought...
I picked up,
No7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour - I picked this nail polish up in the shade cheeky chops, what a gorgeous bright prink. Very rich pigmentation, quick drying effect with a glossy finish. This retails at £6.00 which is quite pricey for a polish that I never normally would purchase but i did and looking forward to its chip factor! The brush is a decent size so looks like it will glide over the nail just nicely.
No7 Natural Blush Tint Powder - I got this in the shade coral flush, it is a gorgeous blusher not strong in pigmentation but just right. Coraly pink notes fluttering on your cheeks would look perfect for day or night on any skin tone I think. It comes in nice compact packaging too so easier enough to slip in to your make up or travel bag. This costs £8.00 in Boots.
Considering all I spent was £14 to get a free gift worth £30 is a pretty good deal to me.
I am happy with my purchases but even happier when I saw what was inside my beauty bag...
Check out the free goodies.
No7 Airbrush Away Primer - A hypo-allergenic primer that magics away signs of ageing noticeable signs straight away it says. It smooths out fine lines, wrinkles, puts uneven skin tones and pores into a soft focus. I am looking forward to trying this with my troubled pores at the minute to see how much of a difference this makes. For 30ml this retails at £19.50 that is very pricey for my price ranges but I shall put it to the test to see if its worth that pricey tag.
No7 Triple Protection Tinted Moisturiser - I recieved the sample in shade Fair Medium, it says it will make you achieve natural skin perfecting colour with this sheer, light diffusing tinted moisturiser that delivers all day hydration and protection. Once I swatched some on my hand I thought it looked too dark then I rubbed it in and it was a perfect match. I love tinted moisturisers in the hot weather as there so light and better for your skin. So I shall be testing this out in the morning. This retails at £11.50 not too bad of a price tag.
A swatch and partially blended.
No7 Extreme Length Waterproof Mascara - The wand on this mascara looks very intriguing! I'm looking forward to if it gives me extra length, I love length in my lashes but I also love thick colour to them too. But I'm glad this doesn't clump at least it says it shouldn't. I never buy waterproof mascara but I do think there practical in the heat and for holidays and this dinky size will be perfect to slip in your beach bag or your make up bag. Shall do a before and after picture for you. This retails at £12.50.
No7 High Shine SPF15 Lipgloss - I am not a huge fan of this lip gloss after trying it quickly on my lips, its one of those sticky lip gloss textures and I really don't like that. But the colour is so pretty it is coral kiss a beautiful coraly pink with quite a sheer finish but enough to give your lips a flush of colour. This will be perfect for my nan she loves her lip glosses and lip sticks so I shall gift this to her. It retails at £8.50 which I think is pricey for a lip gloss especially when its not a nice enough texture unless its just my personal preference.
The swatch looks as if it is very pigmented but once its applied to the lips it is quite sheer.
No7 Stay Perfect Eyeshadow - I got this in the shade lilac shine and that it is, a beautiful lilac shimmer shadow. I never usually wear lilac's but I am stepping out of my neutral comfort zone and testing out new colours on my eyes so I shall look forward to making a look out of this. In a cute compact packaging too that wouldn't take up any room in your make up bag! This retails at £7.00 pigmented and gorgeous colour so not a bad price tag.
After receiving all these goodies I even love the clear beauty bag with flashes of colours it all comes in which I shall be using to store my cosmetics in.
I think its a gorgeous little bag with enough space to fit in lots of your cosmetic goodness!
Has anyone else out there indulged in this offer or thinking about it now?
I really think its a great offer and your summer cosmetic essentials inside even a good beauty starter pack! All you have to do is purchase two beauty products why not treat yourself :)
