MY CURRENT HAIR CARE ROUTINE

Hello lovelies, today I thought I would share with you all my current hair care routine, I do change my products up a lot but these seem to be stern contenders at the minute so I thought they deserved a little mention on here.

So first shampoo and conditioning, Nourish & Protect Shampoo in Black Pepper & Citrus* and Ultra Moisturising Creme in Cashmere & White Lilly* I was very kindly given these concoction treats a while back but I put them in a 'special place' whilst I was sorting my house out and they got lost! It wasn't until recently when I moved two rooms around I finally found them, I was so chuffed they are amazing products! I love how my shampoo is personal to me with my name printed on and the scents of both are beautiful. My hair has never been softer and felt so good since using these. So if you was to order from concoction for your shampoo, you would pick a scent, choose two shots which they have an amazing range for, coloured hair, to give moisture, for volume, thermo straight serum, calming care for roots and curl serum. Then you would choose your conditioner to match or mix up. I have never seen anything like this and I will forever be repurchasing as my hair hasn't felt this good in ages, I couldn't recommend these products enough to you.

If I'm not drying my hair and it's a couple of hours before bed I tend to just use a leave in conditioner so my hair doesn't get tangled and the scent of Anti-frizz by Yuko Leave in conditioner* is unreal, like apples I could just spritz this all day its devine. It leaves my hair feeling silky soft and manageable with no nasty knots and stops my mane getting all frizzy. I got this is an amazing goody bag from a blogger event a while back.

If I am drying my hair then I tend to use the Aussie Take the heat leave in cream, I also love the scent of this and all Aussie products, you only need the tiniest dot of this as it can make your hair quite greasy quickly and with having short hair you literally need a slither just concentrating on the ends and leaving the roots out. This keeps my hair in good condition and confident to use heat on my hair.

Product extras, If I haven't washed my hair and it is just dry and I need to go over with the straightening irons I spray on some Tresemme Keratin Smooth Heat Protectant Spray, again it makes me worry less about damaging my hair through heat, it leaves my hair feeling smooth and shiny and sleek with no frizz, no one likes frizz. Products I use once to two times a week is a leave in cream and oil this being KMS Moist Repair Revival Cream, this smells lush and really does give my hair a good moisture boost, this was recommended to me buy a good childhood friend who used to work at a local salon of mine they sell a good range of KMS hair products and I only ever hear good things about them, if like me you used to be a serious hair dyer and always using heat on your hair and have damaged it, firstly I would obviously advise a good damn trim then topping up your hair with moisture such as creams like this and a good old soaking in hair oil, for example the Old Wives Tail Organically made hair oil, this one in particular is great for hair growth and dry scalps. I am not usually one for putting hair on the roots but for a good moisture burst, keeping your hair healthy once a week I like to soak my hair in this and cover it with a heated towel for an hour, then wrap it up in a turban towel and sleep with it over night, it does take 2-3 washes of shampoo to remove it but the finished results are oh so worth it! If you do suffer with a dry scalp I would recommend getting this on your fingers and putting it on your scalp and massaging the oil in to help calm it down. My hair is left feeling silky smooth, healthier and my hair is definitely growing and I can't thank all these proudcts enough and my new favorite hairdresser Heather! Obviously if your hair is really damaged no amount of product is going to save it, you need to trim those dead ends then keep your hair happy and healthy with products suited to your mane.

I really hoped this helped in someway and would love to know what hair products you use.

Febulous hair feature - My current hair saviors.

Hello lovelies, so the weekend is over again so soon and so is my week of hair posts. Hope you enjoyed my lovely guest bloggers a huge thank you to them for taking part. I loved them all and hopefully you enjoyed mine too and it gave you some hairspiration sorry I did it again. Cringe. To finish the post of I thought I would tell you my current hair saviors at the moment as I'm always changing my products around and this is what I am currently using.

Shampoo and Conditioner

At the minute I am using the Aussie collection, Miracle Moist shampoo and 3 minute miracle colour mate deep treatment conditioner These two babies have made a massive difference to my hair after years of abusing it, dying it etc. Once I have had a bath or shower after using these my hair just feels amazingly soft and smells gorgeous! There always on great offers like three for £10 or there even selling Aussie products in Home Bargains now if you have one near by for like £2.99 a bottle which is a bargain. I would highly recommend these products to sort your dry distressed hair out.

Hair Mask

I am currently using the Loreal Elvive Full Restore 5 Hair conditioning mask, it is around £5 and sometimes in the supermarkets they go on offer for around £2 which is awesome. This is so nourishing to your hair and instantly hydrates your dead ends and gives your hair a real good drink. The 5 is for these 5 great added bonus's, It feels stronger, looks fuller, looks revitalised, healthy looking shine and looks silkier. I agree with all of them and my hair just feels brand new after using it just the once! If your a serial hair dyer like me you need this in your life.

Hair Oil

Moroccan oil is the best thing I have ever used on my hair, I was dubious to the price tag and when I went to the clothes show they were giving out sample sized gifts for around £15 I think so I thought this is the perfect chance to try it out before I spend a fortune on some oil and that £15 was well worth it and I am even going to spend the whole whack on a full sized one once I am finished with this one as it really is amazing. You only need the tiniest bit also and just run it through your ends try not to go too near the scalp as it can make your hair really greasy. I imagine it will last you a very long time as this has lasted me since December and I'm not even half way through it yet. The smells quite nice also and once my hair has dried naturally it just feels like silk no frizzy bits and a dream to brush through.

Hair spray treatments

If you didn't see my depressing tweets or facebook status's a while back you would have missed me moaning about me loosing my hair. I don't know if its from having Oscar, Stress or the copious amounts of dying it but I just shower away and my hair is just falling out or I'm brushing it and ridiculous amounts are being taken out. So I came across this product in Morrisons funnily enough and thought this sounds interesting, Loreal Elvive Triple Resist Reinforcing Treatment. You simply just spray it on your roots and ends if you wish a couple times through the day wet or dry hair it doesn't matter and the spray is supposed to work through your hair folicles and work its magic with its Arginine and Protein nourishing your locks to prevent you from loosing your hair from every day wear and tear you put your hair through. I have only been using it a couple of weeks and noticing about of a difference so will continue to use this and hope it helps a lot more.
The heat protectant I have been loving lately is the Tresemme Keratin Smooth Heat Protectant Spray. I just spray this all over my hair after putting my Moroccan oil in before hair drying and I am ready to go. It helps out from the dryness of my hair and reducing the dead ends I get from straightening my hair I do also spray again after I have dried my hair though, I don't know if you need to I just do, can never be too careful right.

I never used to really bother with hair products but I needed to start doing after all the torture my poor hair has been through! You would never believe my natural hair colour is mousy blonde but it is. I wouldn't go back to that colour now but I do plan on going back lighter for Summer, I love a good hair change but I need to keep on top of looking after my hair and I am loving these products at the moment and open to recommendations from you lovely lot if you have any for me.

Do any of these products tickle your fancy or have you tried them before?

Febulous Hair Feature - Gemma

The perfect red lipstick, Hair Care Routine, How to curl your hair with GHD'S
Blog, Twitter, Facebook & Instagram
Hi everyone! Gemma Button here, Paige has kindly allowed me to be a part of her fabulous haircare series, so a big massive thank you to her.  I write about Beauty, Plus Size Fashion and often share my views about love, body image and food.  This year Button's Blog will be on a path full of changes and improvement, I'd love you to join me for the journey

Haircare is something I am very passionate about and more so in the past few months, since colouring my hair plum and trying to encouraging length, which needs a lot of up keep.  I have chosen the five products that I have been relying on since the big change and below I will share them with you.

Lush New Solid Shampoo Bar
This is something I picked up just before I left for Morocco, due to it being solid and weighing under 100g, it was the perfect product to add to my suitcase.  Iv been using it for over six weeks now and have been quite frankly shocked by the results.  It contains peppermint and cinnamon oils, which help stimulate the scalp and roots of the hair, which increase natural hair growth.  I love this because it does actually increase hair growth, smells beautiful and from one little bar I have managed over twenty washes so far and still lots of product left.  I keep it stored in a handy little metal pot so its super easy to travel with too.  There is so much I could say about this so I will be reviewing this in full on my blog soon, keep an eye out.

Macadamia Healing Treatment Oil
This right here is my all time favourite product for use on the hair.  When people say a product has changed their life,I used to scoff and wonder how a beauty product could do such a thing, since discovering this I can fully appreciate this statement, Macadamia Healing Treatment Oil has changed my life.  I have also realised this is a major factor of my hair growing so long and healthy, I'm sure of it.  I have reviewed it in full so I don't want to repeat myself so check it out for yourself, Macadamia Healing Treatment Oil Review.

Denman Styling Brush
It wouldn't be right to write a post about haircare products I'm loving without mentioning a brush, I don't want you thinking I walk around with some kind of lion's mane hair.  You may be thinking, well any brush works, wrong.  I used to have a right battle with my hair after showering, it was always so full of knots.  Now I use my Tangle Teezer when I first get out of the shower to remove the majority of the knots, then this to get rid of the more pesky knots and style my hair.  It detangles throughout styling and is easier to control than the Tangle Teezer. I have written a more in depth review on my Denman Styling Brush so if you want to know more just have a wee look.  I should really given this a clean before photographing, I'm sure you can ignore a few stray hairs, right?

Donut
Nope, not the edible version unfortunately, this little treat is my saviour on bad hair days.  I have owned a giant donut since December 2012 and after watching numerous You Tube tutorials I mastered the technique of creating the much loved bun.  This is so simple to use, creates red carpet worthy hair in minutes and doesn't require the use of heat.  Heat is something I don't often use on my hair while I'm willing it on to grow so this means my hair can look sleek and polished without styling tools.  This one was a gift for Christmas, one of my favourite gifts.

GHD Styling Tools
I love all of the GHD styling tools but this model specifically.  Even though I don't use heat on my hair very often these days, not having a pair of these to hand would bring me out in a cold sweat.  Since my first pair way back in 2003 I have never wanted to try another device for straightening my naturally curly hair, these are the world's best styling tool in my eyes.  These glide through my thick hair effortlessly creating any style I put my mind to, even creating perfect curls!  In the picture of myself the whole look was created using GHD straighteners.  Sorry for the finger prints, being a shiny black cover its hard to avoid.

There you have it, all five of my hair care savours at the moment.  I hope you have enjoyed it and if you use any of them, leave us a comment below telling us why you love (or loathe) them.
