FAMILY MEAL TIMES WITH HIPP

26 September 2016

Hello lovelies, so today I wanted to talk to you about HiPPs organic tray meals and why I think its important to sit down and eat dinner as a family.

I think it's quite important to eat as a family, when you have little ones its great for them to see your eating habits and how to behave at a table, thankfully my fiance/their dad works away during the week so no burping across the table, yuck! We can talk about our day and help if needed. I like to try and eat dinner with my family every night, if I'm not feeling hungry that night I'll just sit with my kids at the table with a glass of water with them, like I said Dan works away during the week so it's just the three of us, on an odd Friday me and the boys may have tea at the mother in laws and on weekends we sometimes eat out as a family. When we are in the house as a four some I'd have to say Sunday dinner has to be a fave in our house but all the boys do love my spag bol! As you can see below Lawson licking the plate of approval, I know I mentioned table manners above but I see plate licking as I did a good job so its allowed! Not in restaurants though...

Lawson even loves the spaghetti bolognese that HiPP do and I'm not a huge fan of mince meat so if I'm busy that day I can quickly ping that in the microwave and have a fast dinner that night plus I know its full of great things so I never feel guilty for giving my children a 'microwave meal'.

HiPP Organic is the only brand to offer pasta shapes (zoo animals, alphabet, numbers), unique ‘Ristorante La Mamma’ range of traditionally rolled and layered meals. The full range of Tray Meals can be found on the HiPP website:

Once HiPP's recipes are approved, tested and tested again, the finished products go through more than 260 quality controls in a state-of-the-art laboratory before they are approved to carry the HiPP label.

HiPP actually conducted some research on the nation of their favourite sit down family meals and this is what they came up with -

Key findings overview:
Research conducted by HiPP Organic, exclusively for the Wean Team, has found that when it comes to family meal times, almost 90% of parents say that eating together as a family is very important. Despite this, only 25% actually manage to sit down and eat dinner together 1-2 times a week. The British roast dinner came out as a firm family favourite (42%). Curry (15%) and pasta dishes (13%) also topped the list as a much loved meal.

We thought this would be a really nice addition to your post for this month as you are focussing on your own experience of dinner time. It would be great if you could include the research in your own post?

What is your favourite family meal?
