This month, we’re meeting Mandi from Hex Mum Plus 1.

1.Tell us about yourself and your blog.

I started Hex Mum back in July 2011, when my little boy was just six weeks old, I chose Hex meaning six, but in 2013 we added our final little boy, so it became Hex Mum Plus 1! It is basically an everything blog, about parenting a larger than average family!

2.What is your current relationship status?

I am married to Asa, we have been together 20 years and married for 15.

3.Do you ever celebrate Valentine's’ Day?

With the seven children and a distinct lack of babysitters, we usually get each other a card and maybe a bar of chocolate, and then have a nice meal together when the children have gone to bed.

4. It’s your first date! Where do you go?

The cinema, we are both huge film lovers, then a pub meal, nothing too fancy!

5. What’s the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for you?

Asa proposed to me halfway up a mountain, with the two children in a double pushchair, they were all in on it, and Xene aged 3 had carried the ring safely in her zipped pocket all the way there, I had no idea!

6. What is your favourite romantic film? Cheesier the better.

Has to be Dirty Dancing, I have watched that film more times than I care to admit!

7. Spill the beans! Who’s your celebrity crush?

Nothing out of the ordinary, I have loved Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt for a very long time, and I’m afraid the newer celebs hadn’t measured up, until Ryan Reynolds and Chris Hemsworth both decided to undertake different roles, and now I love those two almost as much!

8. Flowers are pretty popular at this time of year. Do you like receiving them or do they really not float your boat?

I LOVE flowers and Asa and the children buy them for me quite frequently, although I am hopeless at keeping their water topped up!

9. Do you have children? Do you want any (or any more)?

We have seven children, aged 3 to 18 and that is definitely where we are stopping.

10.What would be (or was) your choice of song for your first dance at your wedding?

We had Savage Garden’s Truly Madly Deeply, whilst we were signing the register and the Let Loose `Crazy For You` as our first dance, as we first met when working at a Let Loose concert, not your typical romantic slow song, but it got everyone up dancing!

11. Do you have any plans yet for Valentine’s Day 2017?

No plans, with so many things going on with all of the children, it will be a case of waiting to see where we are and what we’re doing!

12. Raw oysters are pretty famous for being an aphrodisiac. Have you ever tried them?

I have never tried them and I really couldn’t imagine ever wanting to try them, with seven children aphrodisiacs have never been a problem ;)

13. Imagining money's no object, where would you go for a romantic getaway?

Iceland to see the Northern Lights

14. What’s the best Valentine’s gift you’ve ever received?

A handwritten note in my lunchbox, that Asa had slipped in that morning, just saying I Love You

15. Finally, what is the number one most important thing you value in a relationship.

Friendship, we became friends before we started a relationship, and I can honestly say he is my Best Friend in the entire world.
