WHAT'S ON MY NAILS WEDNESDAY #34

L'Oreal Nouvelle Vague 851 £4.99

Hello lovelies, today I have a gorgeous pastel shade for you all, I am in love with this shade perfect for spring time and really compliments all skin tones I think. I was recently rummaging through the clearance baskets in my local Tesco's as they took down all there Max Factor and L'Oreal make up down so I picked up a few bargains, this being one of them I got this for about £2 and fell in love with it straight away.

I used two coats to make it more opaque, it is a lilac/off blue shade and I just can't stop staring at my nails,  it dried pretty quickly and it gives a gorgeous sheen to the nails. I love the patented brush you get with it to make an easier more precise application on the nails. The L'Oreal color riche range comes in all sorts of shades to suit your mood and skin tone etc and I love there slim sleek packaging.

Have you got a favorite L'Oreal nail polish shade?

What's on my nails Wednesday #8

Hello lovelies, mid week always makes me excited for the weekend, no idea why as every day for me pretty much feels the same aha, I'm just being a sheep aren't I and getting excited for it because everyone else is, anyway back to nails, what's on my nails this week?

Soigné in Cerise & L'Oreal in Sequin explosion

The Soigné polish is a gorgeous deep fuchsia pink, only needing one layer to be opaque but I always do two coats now, I got it in my Birchbox which I have reviewed HERE. Then the L'Oreal polish is just beautiful and I got it for a right bargain posted HERE, it is lots of colorful sequins joined together for a colourful explosion and great for an accent nail, glitter is a right ballache getting off which is why I choose to just use them for accent nails now and it's not too much. I love my nails this week, very party glam.

Boots bargain bin.

Hello lovelies, I have been in Boots again! I need beauty shopping rehab, quick. I was in there purely just to weigh myself and the clearance shelves were in the corner of my eye, I just couldn't resist it god dammit, but who doesn't love a bargain? Even better they still worked on the three for two as I only picked up two items and an added bonus when I got to the till PLUS I didn't technically pay for them as I used my Boots points, winner.

See I wasn't too naughty.

The L'Oreal nail polish is in 'Sequin explosion' which is so pretty, I couldn't leave without it, this would be perfect for an accent nail and great for a party. As you know I am a nail polish hoarder so this needed to be added to my collection, especially as it was only £2.49.

The Rimmel Scandeleyes in shade Rich Russet is what drew me to the bargain bin first after seeing copious amounts of reviews I needed one.  It is a gorgeous coppery brown, perfect for a wash of colour on your lids or the perfect base to keep your powder eye shadows at bay for the day. I just know this will be a new addiction of getting more shades but I got this for a bargain at £2.74!

This was the quick I have one free product to get whilst I'm at the till being served moment, there wasn't an awful lot left in there that caught my eye so I picked up this really pretty Seventeen blusher in 'first flush'. A gorgeous pink blusher which will make my cheeks look nice and rosy with a healthy glow I'm thinking, it is super soft and very pigmented I picked this up for £1.74! A beautiful blusher for under £2 is pretty amazing, I am a great bargain shopper.

Do you ever buy from the clearance shelves in Boots?

Little Boots Haul.

Hello lovelies, I popped into Boots the other day as I had one of those vouchers for double points so I thought what a perfect excuse to get some beauty products in the 3 for 2 offer to add my boots points up. But of course when you go into Boots you could walk out with anything right?

3 for 2 -

L'Oreal Infallible 24hr foundation - Natural Rose, I was after a new drugstore foundation for work and every day wear etc and I haven't tried this so this went straight into the basket. I have tried this a couple of times and it is very similar to there previous infallible foundation it just has longer wear which is a bonus and it does go lovely on the skin, I find it very similar to my Estee Lauder foundation

Maybelline Lasting Drama Black Shock Gel Liner - Black excess, I was also after a new eyeliner and I wanted quite a fine nib pen but I seen this, as I have never come across it before I was keen to also pop this in my basket, this was well worth the risk! It goes on beautifully and is so easy to use with just one hand if your on the go and need one hand for your mirror or for you beauty guru's who film YouTube videos this will be perfect for you. It comes with a twisty end that the gel travels up the stick, it is very pigmented and dries matte, really gives you a defined look on your eyelid to make those eyes pop and stand out.

Max Factor Colour Elixir Giant Pen Stick - Vibrant Pink, Talking about standing out, I think you will with this beauty. The shocking pink really stood out to me and I have a couple of these Max Factor giant sticks, they apply lovely on the lips and last a good few hours they remind me of my Nars lip pencils just cheaper! The only thing I don't like about this product is the scent, they smell like crayons, just colouring in my lips with a crayola like you do.

Bargain Bin.

I always have a quick look in the clearance section because you can find some good bargains sometimes, quite recently I have found some good finds, usually I find rubbish but this was only £3.99 I thought it would be daft to turn that down as I love me some mascara, if you haven't already saw my mascara make-up collection HERE. Can't hurt to try another one right? I am already in LOVE with it, it is quite messy and take's a bit getting used too but it makes my eyelashes look amazing, I am quite tempted to go back and get some more whilst they had quite a big stash of them.

Then the extra's...

This double barrel sharpener with a small and larger hole was only £2 and I needed it for the bigger hole for my Nars satin pencils as there quite chunky. Now I have finally sharpened them and I love the sharpeners with the cover so you don't have all the shavings everywhere. Least I actually bought something I actually needed for once aha, without even thinking about it also. Then the last thing I picked up was this Garnier Express 2 in 1 eye make-up remover, this is so nice! I had seen a couple of reviews on a few people's blog posts so had to pick it up as it was on offer for under £2 also, bargain! It doesn't tug at all on your eyes you don't have to excessively rub your eyes to get all your mascara of,  it does come of quite easily and doesn't sting my eyes at all or feel oily etc aftwerwards, I would recommend this.

Have you been Boot's hauling lately?

What I've been buying...

Hello lovelies, here are some bits I have accumulated over the weekend, some bits are from a quick trip around Birmingham before the Gadget show on Saturday and the rest are a few bits I picked up in town on Friday, I'll start of with the Birmingham bits, just because I can.

There are two shops I can not seem to avoid when I'm in Birmingham, they would be Lush and the Disney store. Lush purely as I have an addiction/obsession whichever you prefer to name it, the sell lures me in for one but a girl can never have enough bath bomb/melts in her life. I was good this time though as I only bought TWO bath products and my good deed of the day buying a charity pot from them again. The two bath products I got were the Rose bubble bar which I have previously bought and reviewed HERE and I got a product I have never tried before, Wonder Woohoo bubble bar, I am excited to try this as it smells absolutely gorgeous of oranges and citrusy notes and its a sparkly triangle!

Then I can not avoid the Disney store as I love adding to Oscar's never ending collection of Disney teddies, me and Dan said we would just keep collecting the Mickey Mouse set but now we have watched Frozen I couldn't resist getting him the cute little snowman Olaf. He is just adorable and Oscar loved him instantly and recognised him as we have been watching Frozen on repeat at the minute, I love it also but the songs get stuck in your head for days aha I am tempted to steal Olaf for myself as he is so soft and cuddly.

Do you wanna build a snowman?

I then treated Oscar to a Cath Kidston food tray more for me really, I don't think Oscar cares what his food is delivered on as long as it tastes good, but me loving a bit of Cath I couldn't resist and the polka dot matching cutlery had to go in the basket too its just so cute and I love the patterns.

Then lastly whilst I was in Selfridges I couldn't help myself going to the top floor and straight to the Mac counter, I was having a little mooch around and I seen the collection stand with the spring editions and there was 'Stereo Rose'. I instantly fell in love and had to get it, such a gorgeous mineralise skin finish in a rosy glow but I shall be reviewing this for you all soon as I can't wait to get using it asap!

I was quite behaved in Birmingham really wasn't I, but I was in a rush for the train to NEC or maybe I wouldn't have been so well behaved.

In town I jut picked up some random bits and bobs as I was in an out of the shops, I was in Superdrug and noticed that the L'Oreal Micellar water was only £2,49 so had to get that bargain for a back up as I get through Micellar water like tap water aha and I love this one, then I spotted a big Tresseme conditioner on offer and I love Tresseme hair products so I got this one as my favorite Aussie one ran out the other day. I then popped into my work place 'Whsmiths' and seen Instyle had a pair of eyeko eyelash curlers so I got that purely for them, I love me some eyelash curlers. Then lastly even though I had bought a new conditioner I seen the new Garnier hair range so I picked it up from Tesco's as that was on offer also, I have a slight addiction to ramming my bathroom full of products, I will never learn.

What have you recently been buying?

What's On My Nails Wednesday #3

Hello lovelies, middle of the week are you excited for the weekend? I have the gadget show to look forward to this Saturday with my friend Jess from CoffeeandCosmetics, I'm really excited about it will be great to test out all the technology etc. I'd love to know what your all getting up to in the comments below but today I have for you another nail polish to add to the series.

L'Oreal Color Riche - Macaron Noisette

Firstly apologies for the poorly painted nails I was in a massive rush this week, the next ones should look a lot better! Also it takes about 3-4 coats of this to look like any colour on your nails. It is very sheer and I smudged them with all the layers and could not be dealing with doing another 4 coat jobby so I don't think I'll be using this nail polish again. It is a gorgeous nude with sparkles running through it and would look lovely with any outfit and for any season it is just a kerfuffle. If you are a patient soul then I would recommend this for the beautiful colour and it hasn't chipped for a couple of days there all still intact, it has a little peachy glow to it also. I think this would suit any skin colour even the palest of hands like mine. I love the packaging too, you can see the shade perfectly and its quite small so great for squeezing into your make up bag for touch ups if needed.

I look forward to reading other #whatsonmynailswednesday/#womnw posts to the lovely girls involved, remember you can take part whenever you like.

My Make-Up Collection - Mascaras.

Hello lovelies, I'm going to finish of this week with my Mascara collection and start again next week carrying on my collection starting with lip products, there is a lot to say the least. I really should have planned this out more aha, I always jump into the deep end, but its all fun.
Mascaras

My mascaras live in a Ted Baker tin mug that Dan didn't appreciate for a Christmas present of a relative last year so me and my mascaras did. I like being able to see all of them and easy access.

Ok, so I have a bit of an unhealthy collection of mascaras, but like hunting for your holy grail foundation, mascara comes next for me. My vitals, foundation and mascara as I think all make up looks NEED mascara and you need to find the one that's perfect for you right? I also love experimenting with new brands and just generally trying out new products. I will start with my favorite mascaras though,

Yves Rocher - Sexy Pulp Mascara, it is not here as I have used it up but it is my ultimate favorite over any brand, formulation ever I'll link it HERE. I have not found another one like it, I am planning to repurchase it as I always have done but I do really need to make my way through these first as it is silly buying any more right now. This is my collection after throwing loads away too. It has a gorgeous curved brush which hugs to your lashes to give you volume and and thicken without clumping at all, it's long wearing and is just my favorite it is also half price at the moment, I would highly recommend this mascara to anyone out there.
Benefit - They're Real mascara, my high end favorite which I also need to repurchase the bigger size of but there is no need at the moment as I have three mini's which is perfect, one for nights out, one for my make up bag and one to stay up on my dressing table. I adore the packaging of this to start with and the brush has bristles all around the brush so you can get into every crook and cranny which is good for them hard reach areas. It really does make you look like your wearing fake eyelashes as it instantly lengthens your lashes with lots of volume, I always get complimented when I wear this and ask what I'm wearing. It's jet black and really opens up your eyes, if you do have naturally very long lashes I probably wouldn't recommend this as it might clump your lashes but it doesn't clump mine.
Maybelline - The Colossal Volum' Express smokey eyes mascara, my favorite drug store mascara, I used to use this in high school, obviously not the same packaging or formula but very similar. a collagen enriched formula with khol effects to give you extra pigmentation and a sultry look. It makes my eyelashes look fab, volumises and doesn't clump, I wear this every day at the minute.

I will get the least liked out the way next,

Jelly Pong Pong - Fairy Lashes mascara, the packaging and the name I love! But the formula itself, not so much love for. It clumps ever so easy and it's just so wet and messy. I really want to like it I may just let it dry out and hope it will grow on me if not it will have to go to mascara heaven.
Soap and Glory - Thick and Fast mascara, I adore the brush to this but again it is very wet and messy. I am surprised because I do see a lot of rave reviews on this mascara but it just doesn't work for me, I might let this dry out also though and I could be proven wrong it just clumped all my lashes and was very messy to apply. Then lastly, Mac - Zoom Fast Black Lash mascara, I have a love hate relationship with this mascara, it makes my lashes look amazing, volumised etc and lengthens but it leaves so much icky black gunk in my eyes for ages it just keeps re appearing so I have stayed clear from it for abit but it does make my lashes look fab, I'm really unsure what to do with this.

Mascaras that are great for lengthening, my two favorites already mentioned plus, Gosh - Growth Mascara, does it exactly what it says on the tin/tube. It has the tiniest bristles that really grab your lashes and extend them, they instantly look longer after one coat and again after another. It contains 5% Sympeptide which is the active growth ingredient, the rubber brush makes your eyelashes look dense also and doesn't give you those nasty spider leg looking lashes with the growth.
All of the Seventeen Mascaras add length and volume, 17 Dolled Up, 17 Blow Out and 17 Va Va Voom, I love the packaging of the 17 mascaras too, quirky, original and colourful, very eye catching. They are cheap and cheerful mascaras. I was lucky enough to win all my 17 mascaras in a twitter competition reviewed HERE. Model Co - Fibre Lashxtend extreme black lengthening mascara, firstly I love that this has a little mirror on the back, perfect for on the go for any touch ups or your getting ready on the train to work. It is quite a dry mascara compared to others but it does lengthen your lashes and I prefer drier mascaras to the really wet ones I find it defines your eyes more. Then lastly for lengthening I like the Barry M - Lash Vegas, this also volumises as it lengthens, it has an hour glass wand that curves your lashes and makes them stand out, a lot of people rave about this and it's not a lot of pennies at all. I find drugstore mascaras are better than high end in my opinion, I could happily carry on in life with just drugstore mascaras, I would miss my Benefit one a bit but I just think the drugstore has so much more to offer and its affordable.

Mascaras that are great for volume, L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Diamantissime mascara, I love this for nights out as it has shimmer inside to make your eyelashes sparkle but it is very subtle, you don't look like a disco ball or anything, it gives my lashes a lot of volume and I love the sparkly tube. L'Oreal Mega Volume Miss Manga mascara, this is loved and hated over the blogosphere, I personally love it! The packaging also, it is great for volumising your lashes and wide open. Max Factor - False Lash Effect Waterproof mascara, I got this free in one of those Christmas boxes when you spend £12 or £15 on that brand. I love Max Factor mascaras, there brilliant for volumising your lashes also lengthening too, I'm not a huge waterproof mascara wearer but there great for nights out, they stay put and when your all hot and bothered from dancing the night away you have no panda eyes! I love this mascara and all the Max factor's range to be honest I'd be happy with any of them. Mally - Volumizing Mascara, I got this in a set on a QVC offer, I was new to Mally and thought why not give it a go, I love there concealer and mascara! It volumises and lengthens but makes my lashes look very natural at the same time it is great for every day wear. Again all the 17 ones are great at giving your lashes volume as well as lengthening.

Great for bottom lashes, Clinique - High Impact mascara, tiny bristles perfect for bottom lashes, leaves no clumps or smudges and stays put all day. I find smaller bristles and brushes alot easier to apply on my bottom lashes or I get myself in a right mess, hello Beetlejuice. No7 - Extreme length waterproof mascara, another smaller bristle brush that is rubber also. I like using this on nights out or if I'm going somewhere nice do to the fact it's waterproof to avoid black smudgy under eyes and it gives them length also.

I think I have pretty much summed them all up, well done if you got through all of that I just want to make it easier for you to understand the qualities of them all or just my opinion on them all. If you do want to see pictures of the wands just let me know in the comments below or want to know more about a specific one.
What is your most used mascara that you couldn't live without?
