MY FIRST EVER ' MY LITTLE BOX ' | DREAM BOX

Hello lovelies, this month I finally took the plunge and bought my first ever 'my little box', I had seen it on the blogosphere for a while and thinking it was really pretty and loved the idea of having lifestyle and beauty all in one box sometimes even fashion but I never actually bought it, but this month I finally did and I am so glad I did! This box is beautiful, I am super impressed with it considering it is my first one too, from the gorgeous illustrations to the cute stationary pieces, I am a sucker for stationary and the lovely french beauty products. Even the products them self come in such gorgeous packaging like the cute little bag, the lovely quote on the cloud and the 'once upon a dream' pouch where the gorgeous necklace was in. What was in April's 'My little dream box' -

Lip Balm Loved by Lou Lesage £8 - This gorgeous red tinted lip balm sits beautifully on your lips giving a subtle flush of colour to your lips but is build able for more of a more intensive red if you wish. It is super soft and comes in a cute little pot.

Soft perfume stick by Sabe Masson in Copacabana £15 - I sadly can't smell this perfume yet as I am full of cold but my boyfriend said it smelt quite fresh and fruity, I adore the packaging it comes in and what a great alternative for your handbag, no leaks here!

Necklace 'Bonne etoile' by Delphine Pariente £20 - I thought this was so pretty when I opened up my little cloud sachet, you could wear this an anklet or bracelet as well as a necklace, I love the pretty pink cord and the little symbol, it is quite a simple piece that could make an outfit a bit more jazzier.

Rotating stamp £8 - How adorable is this stamp? It has 12 little messages on it which will be great for spicing up my notebooks or great for adding little messages on birthday cards or if I want to give my friends/family little messages, it's a great little tool to have around the house I can't wait to start playing with it.

Repairing hair mask for dry ends £7 - I love the packaging again on this beauty product and looking forward to trying this out! My hair actually isn't in bad nick for a change but I imagine this will keep my dry ends on top and making those split ends stay away! I will have to let you all know how my hair gets on with this, I love a good hair mask once a week.

The total of all these products are just under £60! So how great is that all for just £11 plus your post and packaging? All the little details that go into the box alone also, I can't wait for next months already.

Have you tried 'my little box' before? I would love to know your thoughts.

May Birchbox, first impressions.

Hello lovelies, this is only my second Birchbox and I'm already in love with it, they haven't let me down yet anyway and to be frank they really do show Glossybox up! If you are subscribed to Glossybox and not Birchbox sort it out aha, here is what I got in this months box...

MAY BIRCHBOX - Exclusive Bazaar offer

This months box contains some pretty good samples, as you can see above! But as well as the gorgeous samples Birchbox have an exclusive Bazaar offer to subscribe to them for just £12 for 12 months, that's only a measly pound per copy! You also get a cute little booklet to the 'Great Outdoor Beauty Guide', but the most exciting thing is obviously the products so here is a close up of what I got inside.

Aromatherapy Associates 'Revive Morning' bath and shower oil £39 (For full size)

This cute little bottle will only last you one bath, unless your more a shower gal it may last you longer, applying all over your body before you get into the shower but I'm more a soak in the bath with candles surrounding me type of gal. This is supposed to 'revive' you in the morning with its invigorating blends of pink grapefruit, rosemary and juniper berry which will also soften your skin and supposedly lift your mood, I'll keep you updated with that one! The smell straight out of the bottle is quite strong and reminds me of Balance Me oil but I'm hoping it won't be that strong in the bath as I don't think I could stomach that first thing in the morning aha, I'm really looking forward to trying it though as I love anything to do with bathing!

Philip Kingsley One more day dry shampoo £13.50 (For full size)

I love a dry shampoo, perfect for lazy days, refreshing your hair or to add volume! I have just applied some of this to my hair and it comes out very white but it brushes out easily, it has a lovely scent to it not like most dry shampoo's and it has made my hair feel super soft? I like it already. I find my fringe gets greasy easily so this handy little bottle will be great for my handbag for touch ups through out the day. I think £13.50 is quite hefty for a full size bottle but if it smells good, its making my hair feel soft then I may be tempted.

Liz Earle Cleanse and polish hot cloth cleanser £13.25 (For full size)

This is an award winning cleanser and I know exactly why, this is one of my ultimate favorite cleansers ever! The first cleanser I have fell in love with, it completely transforms my skin and gets rid of all the nasties, I have been trying to get through all my cleansers so I can just stick to this one but then again I like to double cleanse anyway so there's always room for a back up cleanser but this will always be my main one to go to. This makes a difference to your skin in just the first week, believe me. I was chuffed we got a mini size of this as now I have one for when I'm going away on holiday or a weekend break, the muslin cloth is also fabulous, it buffs your skin up but isn't too harsh at all, there like the best duo for your skin!

Soigné Nail Lacquer in Cerise £11 (Full size)

This is so beautiful, I am wearing this on my nails as I am typing away and will be in my 'Whatsonmynailswednesday' post this week, if your a one coat out the door person this is perfect for you, it is so pigmented and the formula is just gorgeous. This colour is a deep dark fuchsia pink, it is shiny/glossy and I love the packaging, it looks like an expensive french bottle of nail polish that would look lovely lined up on your dresser table if you had a little collection going on, I am very tempted to by more of these even if they are £11 as they haven't chipped so far and very fast drying, what I love in a nail polish!

Then last, but definitely not least...

Benefit Cosmetics They're real mascara £19.50 (For full size)

I adore this product, my favorite high end mascara definitely, I have so many samples of this I haven't needed to buy a full sized tube yet, lucky me and the sample size versions are fab for your handbag and in your little purse of an evening for touch ups, not that I have ever needed a touch up with this beauty. I love the wand as it's so easy to get to those stubborn little lashes that don't want to behave and be apart of the mascara party, it reaches everywhere and makes your lashes look fabulous darling.

This has been another fantastic box and well worth the subscription price tag, the nail polish alone was £11! I love nothing more than discovering new products and receiving samples of well loved products also, I would recommend this to everyone. The box I fell in love with, with its truly beautiful packaging of florals and peacock feathers, now what to put in it? I may stash all my samples in here as I will love going inside this box and will look gorgeous on my side table.

Are you subscribed to Birchbox, if so what was your favorite sample this month?

My first Birchbox - April

Hello lovelies if you read my post about my last Glossy box you will know that I was getting a Birch box and it came pretty much in the next couple of days. I am so pleased with what was in side would you like to see?

April Birch Box

Propercorn Popcorn - Sweet and Salty 90p

I am not a fan of salty popcorn at all but both together isn't too bad, my boyfriend loved these! What is good also if you are a fussy popcorn eater like me you can see the difference between the two flavors as the sweet pieces have a covering on them so I took a couple out and gave my other half the rest he is a massive salty popcorn lover, the best bit as well is they are so tasty you wouldn't think there under 40 cals!

Colour Club Galas gems collection - Breakfast At... £15 for 4

This is a gorgeous emerald pearly shine nail polish that instantly reminds me of mermaids tales, not that I've ever seen one before but that's how I imagine them to look. I think this would look gorgeous on all skin tones and the other colours in there collection are just as beautiful so well worth the £15 price tag and a bit of a bargain if you ask me.

Laura Mercier Body Souffle Body Creme - Ambre Vanille £44.50

I am so lazy when it comes to moisturising all over my body but this may convert me! As it smells so delicious I look forward to putting this on at night time now or even in the day for an added scent. The hefty price tag is a bit off putting but if I added up all the body moisturisers I have which I don't use I could easily sell them and I would get over £60 which would pay for this! This may have to go on my birthday or Christmas wish list in the mean while, you have to go to your nearest counter for a whiff if you love vanilla scents.

Beauty Protector Protect and Detangle £15

I haven't used this product yet but I do love a leave in conditioner, I love how this is a handy little bottle too if you're going away for the weekend and it smells lovely also, I adore the packaging too.

The Balm Cosmetics How 'Bout Them Apples - Apple Pie £26

Well hello there topless hunks, they do catch your eye don't they? Not sure how the other half will feel about me carrying these hunks around with me in my make up bag but what's better than a cute little blush/lip combo with some eye candy to go with it, The Balm have it all. I would definitely buy this palette all the colour are right up my street, very pigmented and as I said before this is great for popping in your make up bag. Apple pie is a beautiful pinky red blusher that really compliments my skin tone and gives me a gorgeous flush of colour to my cheeks, it may even be my new favorite for Spring and Summer.

One Love organics skin savior waterless beauty balm £30

I can not wait to use this it smells amazing, think citrus it feels lovely too. It feels quite similar to the Body Shop cleanser but softer if that's possible. I love a balm cleanser but this can also be used for a moisturiser and I imagine this to be very moisturising. I will do a review of this once I have used it a few times.

I absoltley adore my first box and can't wait for next months! Do you subscribe to Birch box?

My last ever Glossy Box

Hello lovelies, I wasn't going to write about Glossy Box but seeing as it's my last one...

April Glossy Box

The reason this is my last box is because this year I have just found the boxes pretty rubbish in all honesty, last year I was singing there praises but I am not willing to spend just over £13 for there boxes anymore to be disappointed. This months box isn't too bad but I'm not willing to risk another month and I've just joined Birchbox as as of yet I haven't heard a bad word against them so I'm hoping I'll love them plus Tattooed Tealady has a code for you to get a free box so check out THIS post to get your hands on one before the code runs out!

Emite Make Up L312 lip brush, firstly I never use lip brushes but I guess it's another brush to add to my collection and great if I'm giving my family a make over or my friends are borrowing some of my lippy.

TRESsemme Instant Refresh Cleansing Dry Shampoo, the product I like most out of the box. I love a good dry shampoo, I found with this it doesn't go powdery or spray out grey like others do and it has a pleasant smell to it, not only does it stop your hair looking greasy it also gives your hair volume.

MEMEME Cosmetics Beat the blues in Pearl pink, this is a highlighter, my applicator in this wasn't the best. I'm not a fan of the nail varnish type highlighters. It looked a bit tacky inside also, I don't think I'll be using this although I am a fan of MEMEME cosmetics usually.

Unica Cosmetics Radiance Plus, I like the fact this brand is organic with 100% natural ingredients but with skin care I think it takes a bit more than a tiny little tub full of product as this claims to have a dramatic effect on fine lines and wrinkles, it does smell lovely maybe I could just rub a very tiny amount in with my normal moisturiser and see how I get on with it.

Monu Spa Warming ginger massage and body oil, I have used this, not on myself though! My boyfriend loved it, well he would wouldn't he me slaving away on his back, arms and legs giving him a lovely massage. I enjoyed the scents to it and it did feel very spa like, the oil just soaked so lovely into the skin and it wasn't sticky at all or left a horrible residue. Dan is really fussy with oils and creams and likes to have a shower right after (strange I know) but with this he wasn't even fussed at all he said his skin felt lovely and smooth, so I may repurchase this item! Monu have a fantastic range of products and I've not disliked one so far of the range I have tried.

Goodbye Glossy Box
Hello Birch Box

I'd love to know, what is YOUR favorite subscription box?

February's Glossy Box.

Hello lovelies, abit late in the month with my February's Glossy Box sorry, but here it finally is. I didn't bother with January's as it was exactly what it said on the tin 'basic'. Alot of people have been slating Glossy box again this year, I absolutely loved last years boxes and umming and arring about this years but it's only February lets see if it get's better?

The box was obviously themed for Valentines Day, I love the packaging with all the colourful kisses on. Inside... When I Initially looked into the box only two products where screaming out to me and the chocolate ofcourse, but after having a deeper look there was more than met the eye. Ok, well I am not going to use that body shimmer stuff, to me it looks really dated and for the elder woman, is it just me? Well anyway I am going to be giving that my Nan as it's not my thang. Then there is the Toni&Guy Hair gum, I never use gum/wax type products in my hair, I can't stand the feel of it through my hair and it makes my hair look greasy and vile but one person who will love to try this is my boyfriend, so that's where that's going.
Let's start getting on the product's I like, the Ciate nail polish immediately made my eyes light up, I love a nail polish or two, or several! I love the shade, a gorgeous reddy orange it is in shade 'Red hot chilli' if you wanted to go and check it out. Another thing that stuck out was the Maybelline Kohl eyeliner and I was so excited to try it out but guess what? My lovely son decided to open up my box and draw himself with it! I was only next door in the kitchen when this was going down, I know it's my fault for leaving it around but I was so looking forward to trying it, looks like I'll HAVE to buy it now. Also he wasn't harmed at all a quick bath sorted him out, he just looked like he had been sweeping a chimney or something.
The Cocktail kiss lipgloss, when I first saw this I thought it looked like a cheap tacky lipgloss you get in the bargain shops but it smells so gorgeous they come in a range of flavors apparently and mine smells of a cocktail but can't put my finger on which one, very very sweet its beautiful! It is very shimmery though so would look nice on a night out I am guessing, pretty and pink also in the shade 'Manhattan'.

Overall I didn't mind the box but it's not as good as previous box'es I've had from them, they need to up there game as so many people are switching to Birchbox and I sadly may have to join them if the next box is mediocre. Come on Glossybox :)

Have you currently switched or are you a Glossybox lover? I'd love to know what you got in your boxes if anything different in the comment's below.

Decembers Glossy Box.

Hello lovelies, today I have for you Decembers Glossy Box full of 'festive treasures'.

I love the Christmassy December box, My type of Christmas tree! Gorgeously wrapped in adorable candy cane tissue paper with green shreds. So Christmassy and pretty. Now what was inside?

Beautiful Movements Cosmetics - Nude Lip Gloss

A 4ml cute little lipgloss very handy to squeeze in your over bulging make up bag or the little pocket in your handbag that is useful for nothing, but now this. It is a gorgeous shade, the perfect nude for an everyday flush of colour with a hint of peach. It doesn't say the shade on the tube just 'beautiful lips' An 8ml tube of this will set you back at £12. I would say that is fairly reasonable as it isn't a sticky lip gloss that gets tacky and also rich in jojoba nourishing for your lips. I am loving this already.

Maybelline New York - Volume Express Colossal Smokey Eyes Mascara

I have used a Colossal Mascara from Maybelline before and loved it so I'm sure I will love this one also. It plumps your lashes for a smokin hot look, ideal for your Christmas party to flutter away at the gorgeous single men... If your single too obviously. Or women. Nice thich brush with little bristles, I don't find this to be clumpy at all and makes them quite thick and dark. Used to be a favorite of mine a couple of years ago. Looking forward to trying out there newest version of it. If you want to pick one up they will be around boots and superdrug for £7.99.

Seche - Nail Lacquer in Irresistble

This shade is just gorgeous and fab for Christmas, I am actually waiting for this to dry on my nails as I'm typing away. It is a beautiful deep cherry red. This does dry quite quickly and leaves a satin finish, smooth and ready. You only need one coat for maximum coverage but go over once more if you wish. Seche nail polishes usually last a good few days too. I really do love this shade and they are £9.95.

Yin Yang Skincare - Rich Skin Food

I love trying out new skin care products to see if they agree with my skin and most importantly to see if they do anything brilliant to my skin. This is an organic skin care moisturiser which claims to nourish and repair fine lines and sensative skin. I will try this out over the next few days and let you know my thoughts on it.
Luckily I had this as a saved post I had an email today of Glossy Box saying these could be out of date! Not good at all, so won't be testing them out.

Wilkinsons Sword Intuition - Naturals Razor

I saved the strangest to last, A razor? Hmm. Very different but I'm not knocking it, actually pretty pleased as I needed a new one. It looks groovy and even has a little suction cup for you to rest it in the shower. Great for me to stick up high out the way of little man. I would say this is perfect for weekends away etc too as you don't need soap/shaving gel or body wash with it so if you have forgotten any of those items you can still shave your legs last minute. This is going to sound so gross but in the winter I tend not to bother with my legs that much, extra warmth right? Some of you are thinking woah gross she has hairy gorilla legs but the other people reading this are like hell yeah that's me too! The only thing I actually miss about being single is I could let my legs get hairy and not have to worry about it as I weren't getting my pearly whites out in the cold winter months. But being in a relationship does mean from time to time you do need to make the effort so thanks Glossy box for the new razor it shall be tried and tested. Another fact is that it has 100% natural Aloe and Vitamin E inside the shield containing the razor blades that lathers up to shave and moisturise in one easy step and they cost £6.49 not bad!

I have been pretty happy with my Glossy Box this year, well I stuck it out just over a year this time with out cancelling and they even sent me a lovely email saying Thank you for that and they would put in a chocolate for me in the next box, well Glossy Box not impressed I had no free chocolate? Could have done with it the week I had last week too and past couple of days but hey ho. Diet starts in January...

Did you receive anything different in your glossy box? Leave me links below.

November Glossy Box

Hello lovelies, Today I have for you Novembers Glossy Box.

In side this months box, the Glossy wishlist edition. We have brands such as Vichy, Emite, Yves Rocher, Elegant touch and Gosh

Vichy - Idealia Life Serum, This claims to help transform the appearance of your skins quality and helping to protect from visible effects of stress, pollution, smoke or an unbalanced diet! Gimmy gimmy, obviously just for the stress mainly. I'm not a smoker and OK I have an unbalanced diet but I'm trying with that one. This is Vichys first skin idealiser and I'm really looking forward to trying it and seeing if it does what it claims.

Yves Rocher France- Hand Cream, this stuff smells like chocolate heaven! A dream to rub on your hands. It is very moisturising, I have been putting it on most nights when I get into bed. I'm usually pretty bad with hand creams but in the winter my poor little puddys (hands) suffer bad so no time for forgetting a little tip which I do is to pop the hand cream beside your bed so you can't forget or on your pillow? I am loving it so far though and just under £2 is a bargain.

Emite Make Up - Micronized Eye shadow in Dams. This eye shadow is completely free from oil, nickel, parabens and perfume. Which is making me think what is in my other eye shadows? The pigment is micronized to facilitate application and to create an even and lasting results and very ideal for sensitive eyes which I do have from time to time. A beautiful pale champagne colour not far of white, a lovely base colour or highlighter for your brow bone and inner corners. Such a lovely velvet soft application.

Gosh Cosmetics by E.Tjellesen - Gosh Velvet Touch Lipstick in 148 Sundown. When I swatched this I thought Wow that's a bright orange, can't see me wearing that but once I applied it onto my lips it really wasn't that opaque. It was quite sheer but it is very buildable depending on the shade you like. It is a very glossy lipstick and feel nourishing on your lips it is quite long lasting I got a good 3 to 4 hours out of it. I wouldn't personally choose this colour but I don't mind it, a nice summer shade I think.

Elegant Touch - Nail Polish Remover Pads, I know not the most exciting product you'd think but I love them and defiantly will be re purchasing these once I run out. They are just so easy, great for on the go. They don't smell as bad as normal nail varnish remover and not only are they nail polish removers they are packed with Vitamin E and they moisturise to leave your nails and cuticles feeling nourished! £2 is a fab bargain I'm even thinking of buying a back up just for my handbag. Because there's nothing worse than chipped nails, I'd rather have bare nails than chipped ones. You could even offer a pad to a passer with the same dilemmas? Either way these are fab!

Have you had this months Glossy Box, what did you think? I'm looking forward to next months being Christmas soon, eeek.
