Week 5 - Facial Care Products & Tools - Dec 30 - Jan 4, 2014
Week 2 of the Beauty Crown Awards covers Face Products. Below are my Week 2 selections:
Primer
Mac - Prep+Prime, I have tried numerous amounts of primers and I received this with a recent Mac order and fell in love! I need the full size one now. It just makes my skin foundation ready and makes the foundation apply so smoothly and keeps it in place all day. Fantastic results, I love it!
BB Cream
Garnier - Miracle Perfector Daily All in One BB Cream, The best BB cream I have come across as of yet, its on its last legs at the minute. I don't tend to wear BB cream much in the winter as I like a lot of coverage but for days where you want just a subtle flush of colour to your skin and not heavy, this is perfect. It gives you a natural glow and buildable coverage. I find using a make up brush to apply this makes it a more medium coverage than applying with your fingers. I also think some BB creams have an orange tinge to them, this doesn't.
Foundation
Mac - Studio Sculpt in NW20, This is my favorite foundation ever! My drugstore favorite is Rimmel - 24 hour but this tops that just by a little bit. It leaves my skin looking flawless (most times) , dewy, fresh looking and medium to full coverage. You can work it to the way you like it. It covers most of your blemishes but I still like to conceal afterwards. I have combination skin and it works wonders for me as I get some dry areas and oily and it doesn't latch on to any dry areas and stays on my face all day till its cleanse time. Really would recommend this to anyone.
Powder
How did you guess? Rimmel - Stay Matte Powder, This is talked about every where in blogosphere world. It really is a great powder for under £5! I don't tend to use a lot of powder but I do get a shiny forehead now and again so this subtle's that down a little and great for a little brush under my eyes once I have applied my concealer and doesn't leave my eyes looking creased at all. A great powder that is hyped everywhere.
Concealer
Although I do love my Collection concealer this just gives that little extra coverage. Mally - Cancellation Concealer System. Hence the name it cancels out dark circles, break outs and small flaws. It is rich and creamy but never cakes up or creases under the eyes. I prefer this to my collection one as I think it hides the blemishes a lot more. It also comes with the setting powder to create a look that lasts.
Blush, Powder and Cream
My go to powder blush at the moment is Elf - Baked Blush, This is a fab product if your in a rush or not to fussed about applying highlighter that day as it has highlighter infused into the product. It gives a gorgeous glow and shine to your complexion, a rosy cheek that glistens. Such a cheap product that works so well.
Bronzer
This product is actually in the blusher section? Mac - Pressed Blusher in Sincere, This is far too dark for me to use as a blusher but perfect for bronzing! A matte shade that is amazing for contouring also. It just gives me a lovely glow to my skin once applied to my under cheek bones, forehead and down my nose. I love this as you can tell I've hit pan I will defiantly be re purchasing this at some point in the near future.
Highlighter
Mac - Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle, most perfect highlighter for me. A shimmery gorgeous shade for on top of your cheek bones, brow bone, nose and cupids bow. Gives a lovely natural shine/glow to your skin and I get a lot of compliments when I wear this. It really is gorgeous if you get chance when your near your nearest Mac counter have a little swatch you will be in ore and want it in your collection.
Palette
My favorite face palette that I use most is my blusher palette by Sleek - Lace, containing three gorgeous colours. Don't be afraid there not that scary on the cheeks. Very buildable from sheer to full coverage depending on how brave you are. I love the middle one it has a little shimmer in that can be used as a blush and highlighter.
