5 August 2018
Ravensburger Incredibles 2 Jigsaw £8.99*
Here I am with another jigsaw for you, but who doesn't love a jigsaw? My kids love them and have really been enjoying doing this one in the summer holidays. A late review I apologise, a lot of personal stuff getting in the way at the minute and I'm trying to keep going for everyone but sometimes you just need a little breather! We had just that a lovely week away and whilst we were there we took this and watched the new Incredible 2 film, the film was amazing and got the kids even more excited to do the jigsaw.

MUMMY MONDAY | FIRST FRIENDS MAGAZINE
11 January 2016
Redan Fun to learn First friends £3.99 (monthly)
Hello lovelies so the popular Redan Publishing team who started out in 1991 having made magazines such as 'Friends' 'Ben & Holly's little kingdom' 'My little pony' 'Sparkle world' and more. Recently, I say recently this is their seventh issue but fairly new is their 'First friends' addition, they aim their magazines at pre schoolers ranging from the age of 2 to about 7 years of age this new magazine they have brought out is aimed from the ages of 2 - 4 and I have found this the best magazine for Oscar who is aged 3, I'm obviously biased but I think he's quite clever for his age but the magazines aged 3 - 7 are far to forward so this magazine is just right for him.
He enjoys the stories that are in there, they're usually written from the popular characters on the television, he loves the colouring and obviously the free little toy you get inside. The toys aren't usually the most amazing but it's a nice touch. You always get a sticker sheet and plenty of activities to do throughout the magazine, plenty of learning games and posters you can pull out to keep looking back at and learn more. There are even added extras at the back where you can do little competitions to win and feature in their magazine and on the very back of the magazine you get to see what's in the next months issue and it tells you when its on sale which I love, I used to always pop in my nearest newsagent scanning all the magazines trying to find the one Oscar liked, Oscar loves this one the most also, he enjoys our little hour together putting all the stickers in, reading the little stories and learning new things.
What's also great about this magazine is there is a different topic every week, for example this months topic was 'colours', Oscar picked random things in the house he could find for those colours or if they were too big to go on the page he would go and point to something that was that colour or he would tell me what thing was a certain colour. He even got to share this months toys with his little brother Lawson, he got a key fob with a little toy phone which Lawson was very fond of. Next months topic is 'Playtime' and I think i get as much as excited as Oscar does when the new magazine comes out, maybe I'm just sad but I love stickers and I love teaching Oscar new things and what better way to teach your children whilst having fun at the same time! I didn't actually know that Redan made the Peppa Pig magazine until I did a little research and that was the magazine I picked up all the time before this one came out, I would recommend them both for learning and fun and so reasonably priced! I won't be changing my magazine for Oscar anytime soon.
Do you pick up magazines for your pre schooler?

MUMMY MONDAY | I'M APART OF THE HiPP #WEANTEAM
28 December 2015
Hello lovelies, so some very exciting news! I am officially apart of the HiPP organic #weanteam it's a 12 month blogger programme which will follow every step of Lawson's weaning journey.
Me and I think 9 other bloggers got chosen out of god knows how many others, I feel so honoured and privileged and above all excited to be apart of it all, not only is this an amazing opportunity but I get to document everything here and have it all to look back on later, I massively regret not doing this with Oscar now to see if I changed things and to look back on because it all goes so fast but I can't wait to do it now. We all got invited to a special HiPP event in Birmingham not long ago which we all got told so much more about HiPP as a whole and we got to speak to a nutritionist and many other lovely people who work for Hipp we could also sample the food pouches they do which was very kind of them, they set the room up beautifully and accommodated to everyones needs, they even provided high chairs and baby toys and even food and drinks for us! It was so refreshing to go to a blogger event and actually be able to take your children!
I learnt that HiPP organic is actually a family ran business! Created by Joseph HiPP who in 1899 created the rusk after his wife was having difficulties nursing their twins. The popularity of the rusk grew and grew, then in 1932 Joseph launched his own company. Later in 1956 Josephs son Georg expanded the family business and developed new industrial manufacturing process for organic baby food in jars. Today HiPP organic is run by Georg's son Claus and grandson Stefan.
A bit later on in the month just before Christmas all of the #weanteam got sent an amazing crate full of goodies! Then a day or two after we got sent a box full of food and they even got us a personalised stocking! So sweet and touching, I couldn't believe what I saw when I looked inside, I really wanted to do an unboxing for my Youtube channel but we have all come down with the flu! Devastating but I can barely talk so would of been pointless, I will however show you a picture below. I want to thank HiPP so so much for choosing me amongst others to be apart of their team and I look forward to the following 12 months with them.
HiPP has a product range of more than 150 products in the UK, the HiPP organic portfolio includes milk, cereals, tray meals and pouches.
MUMMY MONDAY | FINDING LEARNING GAME
6 July 2015
Hello lovelies, I am always trying to think of games to play with Oscar whether we're inside, outside or wherever. I cleaned his room out the other day and found the Easter basket we used for his little egg hunt and a handful of little eggs inside that open, instead of throwing these away or putting them in the garage for next Easter I thought they would come in handy for a little game I had up my sleeve.
I first popped some notes on pink paper, things like 'collect four dinosaurs, collect three cars, find something red, jump on the trampoline five times, find a circle object etc' then screwed them up and put them into individual little eggs, I then placed the eggs around the garden and sent Oscar on a little egg hunt with his basket. He would then come to me with his eggs, we opened them up together and I told him what he had to do, so he then went off again with his little basket and found the objects he needed too. He is so clever with his colours and getting there with all his numbers now, it's just a great way to get them learning but also have fun at the same time. I had lots of fun prepping this game for him and he thoroughly enjoyed doing it, he said again again.
What activities do you like doing with your little ones or have any learning skills tips?
MUMMY MONDAY | LEARNING GAMES ONLINE
12 January 2015
FISHER PRICE
Hello lovelies, I was browsing through the internet today for some online interactive games I could get Oscar involved in, he loves toddling around in my room with his toys whilst I check emails and blog etc, so I thought it would be nice to do something with him on the laptop. I stumbled across this Fisher Price website, it has amazing things on there for children, babies and toddlers not only does it have online games, it has tips and tools, toy recommendations, all of their products and all sorts of activity ideas. I shall list below a couple of the games me and Oscar played, he thoroughly enjoyed himself and this is a great way to learn new things with your little ones. I also love how you can pick the age group suited to your little one on their progress and knowledge, the toddler games were a little too old for Oscar so I went with infant and they had lots of fun learning games.
Letters Game - A great way to teach your little ones their alphabet, getting them to press any key on your computer/laptop and discovering the letter and an object to go with it, eg A - Apple. Then an alphabet song at the end.
Count with me game - Again like the alphabet game, counting with different objects to obtain that number then a little number song at the end which is now stuck in my head aha.
Animal Fun Game - This was Oscars favorite game, he loves animals and knows a lot of the noises they make but he doesn't say the name of the animals, if he sees a cow whilst were in the car or something he will just shout MOO aha, so I am hoping this game will get him to say the actual animal, but this game is very fun you press any button on your keypad and it shows you an animal, the name of the animal then the noise it makes.
There is also coloring games on there, jigsaws and learning shapes. I think I will have half an hour a day with him on these games now to get them stuck into his head, we have also been drawing shapes, letter and numbers on his chalk board. I think toddlers are the most exciting age to interact with them, they are also so funny, I think Oscar is very intelligent but have no idea where he gets it from aha. If you and your little ones end up playing on this website let me know in the comments below what you thought.
