WHAT'S ON MY NAILS WEDNESDAY #46

Hello lovelies, I don't know if you remember but back in 2015 I used to do a 'What's on my nails wednesdays' I'm bringing that back, I had to scroll through it all and see what number I got up to so back with a bang at number 46! We have these gorgeous shades from Leighton Denny perfect for spring.

WHAT'S ON MY NAILS WEDNESDAY #45

Maybelline Super Stay Gel nail colour - Red hot getaway £4.49
Topshop - Adrenaline £6.00

Hello lovelies, it's been a while since I did a 'what's on my nails post' so I thought I would change that, now I have two little monkeys to chase around after it's very rare I get those precious moments to spend pampering myself, especially painting my nails as you have to have drying time etc and by the time the kids bed time is around I'm ready for mine too! Even if I am currently catching up with lots of blog posts at 11pm, whoops. Anyway back to the post, I spotted this Maybelline polish in my local boots the other day and fell in love with the shade, it's one of their new summer bliss range, it has lasted over 7 days with the help of the glitter polish which is absolutely stunning from Topshop. I keep looking at my nails thinking is this too much all over as I was just going to paint the one accent nail but I do love sparkles.

The Topshop polish is one of their 5 years of beauty releases, hence the gorgeous rose gold packaging, I couldn't not pick this nail polish up when I spotted it on the shelf, it really caught my eye and makes my nails and toes look super pretty, glitzy and sparkly. The only downside to glitter polishes is there a right mare to get off! Both polishes seem to be very long lasting and they are very summery and bright.

Have you tried any of these polishes before, what shades are you currently reaching for?

WHAT'S ON MY NAILS WEDNESDAY #39

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Cotton £3.99 & Loreal Color Riche in Sequin Explosion £4.99

Hello lovelies, after seeing the gorgeous Kate over at Ghostparties sport a gorgeous white and gold number on her Instagram a few days ago I was craving to get some white on mine! I do find white the hardest nail varnish to pull off as it just looks messy to me on my nails, you have to be so perfect with it and I am far from it as you can see above! Also getting the right white nail varnish is vital, 'Ain't nobody got time for dat' rubbish white varnish that needs 7 layers for it to be opaque so I found the perfect polish! Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Cotton is amazing, it is quite opaque with just one coat but I always do two coats to be sure, it makes your nails lovely and shiny and lasts a few days without chipping but white is renown for chipping easily as well as red and black.

I didn't so much fancy the gold and have had this Loreal number in my collection for a while and not worn it so I thought this would be great for an accent nail, I love sparkly nails they are just a massive bugger at removing! I am so glad I only put the sparkles on one nail for that reason alone but how pretty is this sequin explosion? It's like my ring finger is having a party all on its own with a little disco ball full of specks of blues, pinks, purples, silver and gold. White would easily go with any other shade though if you fancied sprucing up an accent finger and white is also a great base for nail art, I miss doing more fancier nail art so I may have to start doing some more for you in the future.

What do you think to my white and sequin explosion nails and what is your favourite white opaque nail polish?

WHAT'S ON MY NAILS WEDNESDAY #24

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Blackberry £3.99

Hello lovelies, I have a lovely navy dark blue on the nails this week I think it is quite an autumnal shade apparently this season is oranges and navy blues? May have totally made that up but I swear I heard it somewhere aha. Barry M nail polishes are my favorite, they last for ages and so affordable my collection is forever growing. I do find the darker colours chip easier but this didn't chip for a good 4 days without a top coat on either, who has time for top coat?

What nail polish shades are you loving right now?

WHAT'S ON MY NAILS WEDNESDAY #22

Nails Inc Notting Hill Gate (Neon) £11.00* & L'Oreal Sequin Explosion £4.99

Hello lovelies, not to rub it in or anything but by the time you read this I will be sunning it up in Ibiza, don't be jel aha. How gorgeous are these colours? I wanted something bright for my hols so this is perfect as it is a neon pink and what's pink without some sparkly gems and sequins? This L'Oreal nail polish is perfect for some extra jazz and really makes your nails stand out, I like to be a little subtle though just wearing it on my ring finger. I have put these on all my toes though and there looking very pretty in my flip flops. I have * the Nails Inc polish as I never pay £11 for them I pick all my Nails Inc polishes up at TKMaxx for just a fiver! Hope you're all ok and enjoy my posts whilst I'm away for the week.

What's your thoughts on neon and sequins?

WHAT'S ON MY NAILS WEDNESDAY #19

Revlon Parfumerie - China Flower £6.49

Hello lovelies, I have wanted to get my hands on one of these polishes for ages, I just think the bottle is adorable and I was very curious to trying a scented nail polish. I don't have many red nail varnishes so this was the first one I picked up, china flowers is a pretty shade name too, it was most definitely floral scented with a hint of sweetness, don't go sniffing your nails whilst there still wet though as you don't get the nice floral notes until it is bone dry. The colour is exquisite too, a beautiful post box red that makes me think of London as soon as I look at them, the buses and the telephone boxes with a touch of elegance. I love red next my pale skin but I also think it looks divine on darker skin also an all rounder which I think would look personally fab with a lbd on.

Have you tried these polishes yet or have your eye on any?

WHAT'S ON MY NAILS WEDNESDAY #18

W7 Watermelon £4.95

Hello lovelies, today I have the most gorgeous peachy pink nail polish shade, well suited to any complexion and has fab lasting power. I actually got this from Peacocks for £2.50 but online they retail at the price above, its from them sorbet collection which has a gorgeous array of colours to choose from. Simple but cute packaging, affordable, great longevity, great size and will look pretty in your collection. I'm not too sure why it's called watermelon but I think the colour is beautiful my sort of pink, very peachy toned with a slight orange tinge to it. I would recommend picking up this little gem, it wont break the bank balance and even better if you can find some in your nearest Peacocks store!

Have you tried any of the W7 sorbet collection?

WHAT'S ON MY NAILS WEDNESDAY #17

Pink and Palm Trees - Nails by Rosie

Hello lovelies, I recently attended a fabulous blogging event which will be featured on my blog very soon where I got these lovely nails done for absolutely nothing! How pretty and kind of the lovely Rosie, Rosie is super talented I have seen her at a couple of blog events and always scrolling through her Instagram wishing I had all the pretty designs on my nails. She also has her own website, she asked me what I fancied on the day and I said anything, I knew I would love anything she did and I did! Palm trees with some pink, who doesn't love palm trees? I think it contrasts really well with the bright pink, sorry I'm not to sure on the shade she used but I'm pretty sure it was from china glaze. I'm thinking of doing these again myself next month just before I go on my holidays as these will look perfect on the beach sipping mojitos! If you're from Birmingham or live near I would highly recommend Rosie and I highly doubt you would be disappointed, she's a gem.

What are your thoughts on palm tree nails?

WHAT'S ON MY NAILS WEDNESDAY #16

BarryM Gelly Hi Shine - Sugar Apple £3.99

Yet again I have another pale number, I just can't get enough of them. I adore the name Sugar Apple and the gelly finish, it is a gorgeous very pale mint shade that lasts a good few days with no chips. It looks gorgeous on the nails even if you represent pale Caspar skin like myself and would look even more great with a tan I think. It is a pale shade but so bright and eye catching. There is always some sort of great deal on with Barry M too, at the moment in Boots its 3 for 2 on all nail polishes so I would definitely recommend picking up some gelly hi shines and adding them to your collection, so affordable, come in a range of shades and finishes and longevity is amazing.

Whats On My Nails Wednesday #13

Essie - Fiji £7.99

I have wanted to get my hands on this nail polish for I don't know how long, it is finally in my grasp and been on my finger nails! I have tried many dupes but nothing comes close to this at all, Essie nail polishes, you just can't go wrong with them, they have every shade imaginable, amazing cute little duo's, shade names are awesome and they last! I wore this all week with no chips at all even through washing up and standard duties of a working mother, its pretty damn good. It is the palest pink you can get, very neutral that will go with any look/outfit and I think this would suit every skin tone, this makes my hands look a little tanned and compliments them lovely but I also think this would look gorgeous on tanned skin also. You can get Essie very affordable on Fragrance Direct but I could never find Fiji on there so I finally got my hands on it when Boots had a 3 for 2 offer on, well worth the price tag either way.

What is your favorite Essie shade?

Rimmel 60 seconds Rita Ora polish - Breakfast In Bed

Hello lovelies, I do apologise but its another Rita Ora Rimmel polish but I just can't get enough of them, plus its the last one I own so you won't be seeing anymore I promise, I do have one more pastel shade for you next week though then there will be neon's and brights, so look out for those! This is a gorgeous pastel blue like perfect blue skies, I wish I added some clouds on there now, I will start doing a bit of nail art in on Wednesday's too to jazz things up a little, again its another pastel shade and on the wand they have this metallic shiny glare but this doesn't show at all on the nails they just look lovely and shiny, they last for ages with out chipping and are very fast drying! This is perfect for you busy people who hate waiting around for drying and this is good to go with one coat but I always like to finish it of with two coats to make it extra opaque and a touch of to coat to seal it all into place. I have already had a lot of compliments with this shade and have loved wearing it this week, do you own any of the Rita Ora polishes yet?

Whats On My Nails Wednesday #9

Hello lovelies, I'm having a bit of a change around on my blog and going to start of a schedule soon that I can hopefully keep up to date with, just bare with me and I will post it soon, today for you though I have another installment of the #whatsonmynailswednesday post, I can't believe I'm already on my ninth! I hope you love this shade as much as I do...

Rimmel 60 seconds Rita Ora polish - Lose your lingerie

I fell in love with this after the first coat, you only need one coat to be sufficient but for a more opaque look I added another, it is a candy floss pink that makes me think of that and ice creams when I look down at my nails, feminine and a really pretty pastel pink. This look would go with so many outfits and for a day or night look if you was attending a wedding or an after party. I added a bit of sparkles on my pinky from an odd glitter tub I found lying around in my beauty room for a little jazz, I'm getting abit addicted to sparkles on my nails at the minute. What are you wearing on your nails right now?! Let me know in the comments below.

What's On My Nails Wednesday #6

Hello lovelies, Wednesday is here so time for another nail polish, I am loving this shade and will find it hard to remove this for next weeks womnw.

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine - Papaya

Firstly I adore all the Barry M Gelly polishes but this one has to be in my top 3, it is a gorgeous coral and actually gives my pasty white hands some colour to them. This would look beautiful on tanned skin or pale, it instantly makes me smile seeing it on my hands, as it is such a bright happy colour. The gelly polishes are easy and quick to go with one coat but for a more opaque look I like to apply two coats, it finishes with an extra glossy shine and gives you the shellac look. If you paint them nicely it will look like you've been to the salon, I'd recommend these to anyone as they do last a good few days too.

Have you tried the Barry M Gelly's?

What's On My Nails Wednesday #5

Hello lovelies, I hope you all had a lovely Easter, I did but I've been very naughty with my treats so I'm being strict on myself again now, just Oscars left over eggs are so tempting, but I won't give in. Today I have one of the new Rita Ora nail polishes, I did buy three not long ago and they will be appearing on my blog soon but I couldn't resist using one of them for my #womnw so here it is.

Rimmel 60 Seconds Rita Ora - Don't Be Shy &
Ciate Mini Mani - Twinkle Toes

Rimmels Don't Be Shy is a gorgeous fuchsia pink and you only need one coat for this to be opaque, but I am sort of in a routine of doing two coats now and it gives it a more opaque look and extra oomph to it. It is super shiny and compliments my fake tan hands so would look gorgeous on you tanned ladies but I also think it would suit us pale baby's out too!

Ciate polish in Twinkle Toes, what an adorable name to start with! Is my new favorite glitter polish, it is the glitteriest polish I own and ever seen, stunning silver particles with shine and sparkles that really gives you that party feel to your nails. I thought this looked great on the bright pink and I can't wait to keep using this, I hope I still have some left in time for Christmas otherwise I will be repurchasing this.

What do you think of my glittery pink look?

What's On My Nails Wednesday? #4

Hello lovelies, this week I fancied blue on my nails no idea why but an Essie one stuck right out for me whilst I was up in my beauty room the other day so I grabbed it and started painting.

ESSIE - BIKINI SO TEENY

Sky blue shade, so beautiful and I have been wearing this a few days now and no chips what so ever! I think Essie is now one of my new favorite brands as the colour pay of is just amazing, I love the wand and so many gorgeous colours to choose from and even the names of them are adorable. You only need one coat of this but for a good opaque colour I applied two coats, but for when your feeling lazy one coat is more than enough. I also love the packaging of the Essie nail polishes, simple but pretty and practical especially when your looking for the shade you want.

Do you like Essie polishes, if so what's your favorite?

Whats On My Nails Wednesday #2

Hello my lovelies, I hope you're all doing well and looking forward to the weekend. I don't think many people are joining in with my series but I will enjoy it with the handful taking part as I would love to get through my nail polish collection if that's even possible as it's ever growing, I have today though a gorgeous shade perfect for spring.

CIATE MINI - SUGA PLUM

I got this mini Ciate nail polish in the set they did at Christmas 'Mini Mani Month' but you'll be pleased to know they still sell it over at fragrance direct HERE if you wanted to get your hands on it, for a great price too. I only paid ten British pounds for it, such a bargain as it was at the clothes show live. The polish is just beautiful, a pale lilac lovely soft toned shade that looks great on my pale skin and I think it would also look gorgeous on tanned and dark skin too. It is perfect for spring and summer to go with a pretty floral dress all girly and flirty looking. I got lots of Instagram likes all in one go and people saying how pretty it is, a cute name too 'suga plum'.

What are your thoughts?

What's On My Nails Wednesday? - Introduction.

Hello lovelies, after starting Becka's new series she gave me the inspiration of starting my own series for all the nail polish addicts like myself. I thought it would be a great way of getting the blogging community together and finding some new polishes along the way. I know myself I haven't got through all of my collection yet, have you? This will be a great way of doing that.

I also thought if a lot of people do get involved we could do a nail polish swap at the end of every month if a lot of people are interested, another great way of discovering new colours, stepping out of our comfort zones or just discovering new brands. If you get your nails done at the salon you can still share! Just remember to post the nail polish used brand and the name of it and even say where it was you got them done for a recommendation.

My aim is to post every Wednesday 'What's on my nails' you can join me posting every Wednesday or every other Wednesday whatever suits you, just join in whenever you like. I am looking forward to the people who have already wanted to join in for there first post and if you too want to get involved just leave in the comments below your email and blog name and I will add you to this list. Also hashtag #womnwpaige so I can keep up to date with everyone's posts and things.
Hope you like the idea and want to come on board and look forward to your first post starting the 26th March.
