The Gadget Show Live 10th Birthday

Hello lovelies, I was very kindly given a free pass to the Gadget Show and was also allowed to bring a guest courtesy of the lovely Currys. My partner was originally going to come with me but plans changed and I asked if anyone would like to come with me, Becky decided she wanted to come so she was my plus one. I was glad Becky wanted to come as I couldn't wait to meet her in person finally and it was a great day out, she has a gorgeous blog over at Autumn Leaves. I was also lucky that my friend Jess who blogs at Coffee&Cosmetics got invited and was also allowed to bring a guest so I had my best friend there with me and her friend Drangy.

As well as a pass to the gadget show walking around looking at the great technology going on, we also got a free theatre ticket and that was by far my favorite thing of the whole show. We was greeted by amazing fire performers then Jason, Rachel, Otis and Jon came out of a big cake as it was the Gadget shows 10th birthday, it was full of activities and they went through the years of how technology has evolved. The presenters from the show were great how they got everyone involved, the audience Tetris was my favorite as we was also competing for a Guinness World Record and we all got 5.11 seconds so I'm hoping we got it after it has been verified! They did activities where the audience could win prizes, sadly I didn't win any and was very jealous of the gentleman who got 'crowned king' of the goodies sitting on a thrown on the stage with prizes worth over £3,000. We also had a little performance of Pere from the band Pendulum rocking on his guitar whilst the Gadget show presenters raced using new technology. I will let you see for yourself the pictures how are day went to get more of the jist but before I do, I was asked to review some of the Toshiba products so here they are before all the pictures of the great day I had.

Toshiba

We nearly missed looking around the stalls as we just about got to the NEC in time for the showing and got out of the show for around half 5 when everything was pretty much closing up, but I luckily had a bit of time to have a look at some of the Toshiba products. I got to look at four laptops and an amazing hands free camera for all those dare devils out there or people who love filming whilst taking part in sports etc.

I'm not going to lie I haven't a clue about a lot of technology especially laptops, I wish I did. As I was trialing out the laptops though they were very fast, all with the windows 8 installed. I currently have a new laptop with windows 8 and I'm still getting used to it myself so I didn't mess too much with that, the laptops were all quick and easy enough to use though. I liked trying out the HD touch screen laptop 'Toshiba - Satellite NB10t' my brother has a touch screen laptop and I never really liked the idea of them, I'm more of a keyboard fan but with this laptop you can have the best of both worlds and I think If I did get to grips with windows 8, I perhaps would like a touch screen laptop more. The other thing I loved was the 'Toshiba - X-Sports' an awesome tiny camera that has a waterproof casing, great for taking pictures under the sea or on any vacation really. A really great technology for sports lovers out there with its pocket size features along with a 2 inch display a wrist worn remote control to make snapping easier when your on the go and WiFi enabled. Even though I am not a massive sport lover I think this would be great for scuba diving etc or even with having a little one on holiday in case they happened to pick your camera up and chuck it in the swimming pool its protected in water for up to 60m deep. I would highly recommend this to bikers though as it would be great for snapping on the go without even stopping, a 12 megapixel quality and it looks quite veneer looking.

I had an amazing day over all though and I'm very grateful of my ticket to the show and would recommend going for all you technology lovers out there or just a fan of the Gadget Show as a whole, there is so much to do there and lots of stalls to have a good mooch around. Here is some pictures to finish the post of with, I hope you enjoyed this post and it gave you a little insight of the show, plus if you want to check out Currys blog you can do HERE.

*I was gifted these tickets.
