Febulous Hair Feature - Katie.

Hello lovelies, continuing yesterdays post for February I thought I would do a week of hair themed posts to see what everyone else uses and loves and give you all some hairspiration including tips too. Also cheese'inhell 'Febulous hair'. To get the ball rolling the lovely Katie is sharing with you all her top five hair products she's loving right now.

Hello lovely people,

I can’t seem to write this intro without sounding like I’m at some kind of cheesy addicts convention – so I’m going to fully embrace it!:

Hi, I’m Katie, and I’m a blogger.

I’m super excited to be part of Paige’s Febulous Hair Feature, and can’t wait to hear what you all think. These are my top hair products at the moment; it’s love and I’ve fallen hard!

Percy & Reed Bountifully Bouncy Volumising Shampoo & Conditioner

I have no idea how volumising shampoos & conditioners work, but these beauties definitely make a difference to my hair. I got these in a set for Christmas (available here), and I can’t believe how much of a difference they make. I did a proper test; I used them for a few washes, then went back to my old shampoo, then back to these again – I could see the chance & effect so easily! As well as smelling gorgeous and making my hair clean and shiny, they really give it bounce and body. Also, for travel sizes they have lasted me so long! I’ve used them at least 6 times and theres a good third left – way longer than any other sample sizes I’ve tried have. I’m impressed, and can’t wait to try more from the range. I’ll definitely be purchasing the full sizes.

Liz Earle Botanical Shine Hair Oil

A bit of a longer term affair, I’ve used this for a while and love it. I’m a total Liz Earle addict anyway, and the launch of this oil was a very exciting moment for me! It makes my hair shiny, but doesn’t weigh it down or make it feel greasy or product laden as many oils do. It also works as a heat protectant, which I love as it is enough to prevent damage during my blowdries without me needing to add extra product. I try not to use much heat on my hair other than my hair dryer, so this is just perfect. A good 2 in 1 product – I love a money/time saver!

You can buy it here in a duo, why not keep one and gift one? :)

L'Oreal Paris Studio Line #TXT Volume Supersizing Spray

By all accounts, this is a dupe for the much loved Oribe Dry Texturising Spray (here). I haven’t tried the Oribe yet, but I can already tell I much prefer the price of this L’Oreal offering! At only £3.79, it is an absolute steal. It gives volume to the thinnest of hair, but doesn’t make it heavy, greasy or sticky. It lasts well and is super quick to use. I love it for giving ‘grip’ to clean hair, almost creating that second day grime. Mmm, nice! But you know what I mean. Clean hair is slippy and for many of us, unstyle-able, as whatever you do drops easily. This is either a great styling product to combat that problem, or a quick fix; head upside down, a few quick sprays, a well practiced hand movement up through the roots and done. Volume and lift in seconds. That’s my kind of styling.

4) Twistband & 5) Large Elastic Headbands
Image

Daft hair products really, but oh so useful. The twistband is perfect for a quick ponytail, but doesn’t have the metal part to damage your hair. Also, when your hair is down this can stay on your wrist without the metal digging in. Perfect. Lastly, these essentially oversized bobbles are perfect for pushing hair back from your face. Combine with either 3) ^ for volume & a quick hairstyle, or use as part of your skincare to prevent filling your hair with cleanser and moisturiser, and waking up to find grease patches. I also love them when I’m using a mask, as they push your hair back but if you don’t tie it up, you can’t get that line-mark-thing around your hair.

Thankyou everyone for reading, and to the lovely Paige for having me! You can find me at the links below, I hope you’ll come and say hi! :)
