Febulous Hair Feature - Laura

Hello my lovelies here is your second guest post of the lovely Laura sharing also here top five favorite hair products.

Hey, everyone!
My name is Laura, and I blog about all things beauty and makeup over at my little piece of the internet, Laura's Land of Beauty. Today, I thought I would bring you my Top 5 Hair Products.

I never used to really be one for styling my hair, and just did the basics, i.e. washing, conditioning and some sort of serum. But, over the last 12 months or so, I've really got into taking more care of my hair, and have slowly found some of my all-time favourite products.

1. TRESemmé Instant Refresh Dry Shampoo
This has fast become one of my 'can't live without' products. I really don't know how I managed before dry shampoo! I use a bit of this pretty much every day, and especially on in-between washdays. This is a great dry shampoo. It doesn't have an overly offensive smell (which is one thing I really dislike about the Batiste dry shampoos), and as long as you don't go overboard, it doesn't leave a grey cast. It also has a cooling effect, which makes your hair feel so much more refreshed.

 2. John Freida Frizz-Ease 3-Day Straight
I have naturally curly hair, and lately, I've been blow-drying my hair straight. This has definitely become my go-to product just before I blow-dry my hair. When I first heard about it, I was very suspicious, as not a lot of things keep your hair straight for three-days. But, this really does live up to its claims. As long as you don't get caught in a rainstorm or go swimming, then this does really help to keep your hair straight for three days. Now, don't go thinking it's a miracle product, in that, when you wake up, you'll have pin-straight hair, you will have to run your straighteners over just to smooth it out, but it really helps to keep it as straight as possible.

3. John Freida Frizz-Ease Original Hair Serum
This has been added recently to my haircare routine, since blow-drying my hair. I first picked this up on a whim when I was in town and my hair was starting to go frizzy, and I'm so glad I did! Just a tiny pea sized, and my hair suddenly turns into something off one of those shampoo adverts; sleek, shiny and not a bit of frizz in sight. I use this after blow-drying my hair, as it can get frizzy after using a hairdryer, and this takes away all of the frizziness. I think this really helps to lock in the 3-Day Straight aswell, as when I use this, my hair seems to last longer and better. They also do an extra-strength version (here), which I haven't tried, as I think it'll be too heavy on my hair, but would be great for people who suffer from extreme frizziness and have extra-extra curly hair.

4. Wella Shockwaves Curling Mousse
I use this when I want my natural curls. I find it best to apply when my hair is still wet, and this keeps frizziness at bay, and helps define and shape my curls. I only apply this to the ends of hair, not my roots, as I get a very oily scalp, so it doesn't take a lot for my hair to look greasy and weighed down. It's a really lightweight mousse, and because I use it while my hair is wet, I don't find that there's that crunchiness look or feel to it. I always used to hate that a lot of mousse's I tried left that look. It always reminds me of the 90s for some reason.

5. Herbal Essences Fresh Balance Clarifying Shampoo
Finally, my favourite weekly shampoo. This is a clarifying shampoo, which means that it will get rid of any product build up, and give your hair a really deep clean. I love this shampoo! After all the products I use on it during the week, my hair really needs a good deep clean come the weekend. I don't find that this strips my hair leaving it looking and feeling dry and dehydrated, as a lot of clarifying shampoos can, but just healthy and clean. If you want a particular sleek and smooth finish afterwards, then just use an intensive conditioner treatment. I even notice that my hair stays cleaner a little longer than normal after using this shampoo.
