What I use for my favorite Smoky eye.

Hello lovelies, I thought I would share with you all what I use when I go for my favorite smokey eye effect. I am in no way shape or form a make up artist or make up perfectionist but I like how I do it and my finished results, I just love experimenting. It does actually look better in the flesh than on photo's but I thought I would share with you all my finished look anyway.

The Products...

I first prep my eyes with a good base! No need for primer with this bad boy. It really does last 24 hours, well day to night I don't sleep in my eye make up. Depending on what colour Smokey eye effect I'm going for obviously. This one is a brown smokey eye so I have chosen 'On and On Bronze' by Maybelline's Colour Tattoo. I love wearing this on its own also but this is just a great base to hold your eye shadow in place all day. Lovely smooth creamy texture on your lids, beautiful bronze colour that lasts.

I then use 'Naked' and 'Museum Bronze' from the limited edition Nocturnal Pigments and Glitters set in Black and Gold by MAC which I have blogged about here. I use Naked all over the lid then Museum Bronze on the end of the lids brushing up a bit into the outer corners. These pigmentes are very pigmented and gorgeous colours. Naked is very versatile too as you can use this as a highlighter as well as an eye shadow.

I then use my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette and use the shade 'Busted' in the crease line and use my brush out of the palette to blend all the colours together and to the outer corners. A nice dark brown that gives the perfect smokey eye effect.

After all the shadows have been put into place I do usually use a liquid eyeliner but I have been loving this Models Own eye liner that I got from the Clothes Show in December as it gives extra definition and lasts a long while. Just a plain black eye liner that glides on lovely without pulling.

Before I apply mascara to my lids I do like to use an eye lash curler for extra va va voom. This is an eye lash curler from Emite that I got in a previous glossy box last year. I have really loved this eye lash curler but would still like to try out the Shu Emura one.

I am always changing my mascara around but have recently been loving Benefit's 'They're Real' one. They do amazing effects to your eye lashes from having eye lashes that look non existent to long bold lashes that make your eyes stand out from the crowd as proven here...

What a difference?!

Then lastly I like to apply a white sort of shadow in my inner corners to make them pop and look wide and bright eyed.

Which I find great in this MUA palette using the lightest shade above it just makes my eyes stand out that little bit more and a bargain at £3 pounds I think.

Here is my finished look.
